We decided to visit this museum on a rainy morning. What can nomadic peoples imagine who cannot be portrayed as humans? Carpets, weapons and books, the exhibition is located in the building that belonged to Ibrahim Pasha, there is also a balcony on which he played the violin. I liked the museum as a whole, I was surprised by the size of the korans, the elegance of the calligraphy, the silver shoes and the details of the map of Istanbul presented on the carpet, and I learned something new for myself. By the way, there is a special room where the Muslim shrine of hair from the beard of the Prophet Muhammad is kept.

The museum is quite large, and there are a lot of art objects from books to carpets of various types. Beautiful things that have survived to our time are pleasing to the eye

The museum is located in the palace of Ibrahim Pasha, built in the XVI century. The museum is certainly interesting (as, in fact, the building itself). The museum's exhibits include magnificent collections of calligraphy, ceramics, sculptures, miniatures, carpets, and ethnographic materials...

I visited the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Art in Istanbul, a place with an incredible atmosphere and rich history. The museum is located in the former palace of Ibrahim Pasha of the XVI century, directly opposite the Hippodrome Square and the Blue Mosque, which immediately sets the right mood. The space is very beautifully decorated — cool halls, arches, ancient columns, marble floors. A courtyard with a garden adds comfort and gives you a little break from the big city. The exposition is impressive: antique carpets, ceramics, calligraphy, manuscripts, ancient Korans, stained glass windows, jewelry, nomadic life. The carpet collection is particularly strong, as you can see how styles and techniques have changed over time. Everything is served neatly and clearly, it is convenient to walk through the halls as the culture develops. A separate plus is that the museum is not overloaded with tourists, here you can safely view the exhibits and really immerse yourself in the atmosphere. The staff is friendly, the halls are clean and well maintained. A very worthy place to learn more about the Islamic art and culture of the Ottoman Empire. I recommend it to anyone who is interested in history and wants to see something real.

Especially for fans of Islamic history. Maybe. We didn't get anything at all. Ceramics, books, and relics. How people lived at that time is not clear from this museum. There is no audio guide, the application uses machine translation, and the connection inside is unstable. If the price were reasonable, it would be nothing, but for 17 euros it is a complete disappointment. I slightly corrected the impression of the ethnographic museum, at the bottom of the main one. It's a small room, but it's worth everything else.

It's a great museum, the halls are interestingly decorated, and the exposition is wonderful and extensive. A clean toilet, a souvenir shop, few visitors, but in vain. I recommend it!

Very low exposure. If it is included in the general "museum pass", then OK, otherwise, for a fee, and if you are not a fan of carpets, it makes no sense. Compared to similar museums of Islamic art in other countries, the exposition here is surprisingly poor.

The museum is a bit boring if you are not interested in carpets and korans. There is a corner with a reconstruction of everyday life, there is some entertainment there. There is also a chain in this museum that was stretched in the Golden Horn Bay when Sultan Mehmet conquered Constantinople.

A must-visit museum! The collection is simply magnificent. A collection of ancient handwritten sacred books, stunning carpets - there is something to see. The number of exhibits is just enough not to get tired and get maximum aesthetic pleasure. And enrich yourself with new knowledge.

The museum named after Ibrahim Pasha has been forgotten along with many extraordinary historical buildings in the region, Although it is not very full in terms of content, the department of sacred relics and the ethnographic museum on the lower floor save the situation, In the department of holy relics, the Prophet Muhammad's beard makes a difference with his sharif and the Kaaba veil, etc. There are beautiful examples of social life of the Ottoman period in the ethnography museum In other sections, there are historical products mainly carpets in general, there is a small cafe in the two-storey building, the balcony part overlooking sultan ahmet square is very pleasant, entrance is possible with a museum card, it can be visited

Sadness. In general, a comprehensive ticket to local museums for 105 euros is a divorce from boring museums. It is better to pay separately for the Galata Tower and Topkaps. Sofia and cisterns are not included in the ticket. We only came here because we bought this complex ticket. In general, longing is the same thing, uninformative…

A wonderful museum on Sultanahmet Square in a historic building dedicated to the history of the development of Islamic art - calligraphy, decorative and applied arts. The collection is very diverse - objects of worship, carpets, household items of royalty and, of course, works by calligraphers. There are very few visitors. There is a cafe in the courtyard. There is a small observation deck.

We took an audio guide to visit the museum. We started the visit from the last hall. We were surprised that there is very little information in the audio guide in this room. Then we went to the beginning. We have viewed many expositions. As a result, it seemed that the audio guide was not made very well. But there's nothing to do without it. We were satisfied with the visit to the museum

I wasn't impressed at all. 80 percent of the tour takes place with headphones and takes you around the halls with video projectors, that's it. Well, the remaining 20 percent are exhibits. So it's not worth your money at all.

A small but rather interesting museum about the history of Turkey. A large collection of ceramics, carpets and korans. There is even an exhibition of personal items of the Prophet Muhammad. There is a pleasant courtyard inside, and there is an ethnographic exhibition downstairs. We went without an audio guide, but we had enough information signs on the walls of the museum, everything is described in some detail (in Turkish and in English)

A clean, beautiful art museum. We didn't regret coming in. There are almost no tourists inside (Monday 15:00-18:00). Audio guides for 50 rubles, an ID or passport is left as a deposit. You can go through the museum card (on August 15, 2022 - 700T for five days). There is a nice cafe on site. We recommend taking 2-3 hours to complete the museum with an audio guide (+ we watched the free exhibition at the entrance).

Purposefully, it is hardly worth going here, but if time permits, you can go in. It will take an hour at most to watch carefully, you can relax from the heat - it's cool inside. There are not many exhibits. You don't often see carpets in museums, but here you do. Jugs, dishes, jewelry, household items.
