The hotel is near a beautiful beach. 5 minutes on foot. You can buy fruit on the way. Which helped us out a lot since we only took breakfast and dinner. I was surprised by a huge room consisting of two rooms (living room and bedroom). 2 bathrooms and 2 refrigerators. Safe deposit. A table with a kettle and tea bags. Towels were changed every day and 2 bottles of water were given. Dinner is not varied with dishes, but very tasty. Breakfast is standard. I recommend it!

We rested for 7 days. The hotel is good, there is not enough check-in from the sky, but it has no terrible flaws.
Positive aspects:
1. Infrastructure
- near the beach. 5 minutes on foot and you are on the beach, the beach is free for the hotel (you need to show a voucher for the tour, you can take a photo). An umbrella was kindly provided to us at the reception.
- nearby supermarkets and cafes. There are several cafes nearby, a good coffee shop opposite, a supermarket on the way to the beach and a large hypermarket 10 minutes walk to the center. Candy and mango shop (5drx per kg) at the Carlton Hotel, 5 minutes.
- you can walk to the embankment. 20 minutes or by taxi 14-17 dirhams (depends on traffic jams).
- there is a small aquarium nearby for 5 minutes.
- water park, 15-20 minutes on foot.
2. Nutrition
We had full board
There is always a choice, even if you come 10 minutes before the end of the meal.
Breakfast: standard boiled eggs and omelette, fried sausages, vegetables, salted cheese (such as feta), pasta, porridge (liquid), something else, tea bags, instant coffee, chilled water, hot milk and juice (something between upi and packaged), honey, jam, bread, flatbread. You can make toast.
Lunch: vegetables, salads, soup, meat of 3 types (chicken, fish and beef), rice every day, potatoes/pasta, dessert of 2 types, fruit (either picked or orange with apples). Bread, flatbread. Drinks are standard.
Dinner: vegetables, salads, rice, pasta/potatoes, chicken, often as a side dish, 2 desserts.
The food is not spicy, sometimes something is cooked a little sharper, but it is not noticeable and it will be 1 dish.
3. Staff
There is a receptionist at the reception-a woman speaks Russian. The rest of the staff understands something, something can be explained on the fingers, something with a translator on the phone. They do the cleaning, but they didn't see the wet one, the floors are swept, towels were changed, 2 bottles of water every day. It can be replenished in the eating area. Shampoos, gels, toothpastes, razors - if you ask additionally give. Everything is present in the room upon check-in.
Negative aspects:
1. The road
Near the seaport, the hotel is on the road and a lot of noise goes through the windows. There are not much sidewalks - if you have a baby carriage, you will have to jump a little, but we are fine - we are used to it. You have to go for a walk either to the embankment or turn into local neighborhoods - it's quiet and peaceful there.
2. There is no hood in the bathrooms
, as I understand it. Therefore, there may be foreign odors.

I've been to the Arab 27 times, I know every bush here! We had a rest in December 2023! And it was the worst vacation ever!!! The food is terrible, the dishes are minimal, everything is tasteless and relocated. For breakfast, they pressed a rotten salad from dinner, fruit at the very minimum, no porridge, no milk. No juices, some kind of carbonated drink for three kopecks. The room is teeming with huge cockroaches, I even found one in my suitcase, I was very afraid to bring it to Moscow. There were BEDBUGS on the next floor and the whole child was bitten. The beach is urban, very close, it was not bad. The hotel has a cafe and a small shop nearby, where we bought milk. The hotel is normal, not wow, but if you go for a short time and only sleep there, then it will do. The sea is 7-10 minutes away at a calm pace. The beach is paid, but if there is a voucher from the hotel, then the passage is free. Rent a sunbed for 10 dirhams. For breakfast, eggs, porridge, rice, cereals, always something oriental like beans, sausages. There are always pastries, toast bread, honey, jam. Also olives, vegetables, soft cheese. Tea bags, instant coffee. For dinner, there is almost always 1 type of meat, 1 type of fish, 1 type of chicken, rice and another side dish, potatoes or pasta. Salads and pastries too. In general, it was always possible to choose something.
Linen and towels were changed every day, but the cleaning leaves much to be desired. The staff is friendly. Beach towels are provided. There are free buses to some shopping centers, the schedule is available in the lobby of the hotel.

Very friendly staff! Room cleaning is daily (but the floor was not always washed all over the room, I don't know the reason ... maybe they thought it was clean, but we had a little dusty from the open windows). Clean towels were brought every day, bed linen was changed. They asked for a towel for their feet, they gave it without any problems. The road is noisy, so it is impossible to sleep with the windows fully open. Especially when a motorcyclist rides at night. The food is delicious, the main breakfast menu is repeated almost every other day, but we were delighted because it was very tasty. Porridges are really not very good, they are not used to eating liquid ones.
The woman at the reception speaks a little Russian.
Nearby cafes and restaurants with overpriced prices. On the contrary, the prices in the cafeteria are reasonable and also delicious. And the girl who works there, Nimmi, is just a kind-hearted little man)) will always help and tell you.
There are many small shops and cafes across the street and behind the nearest cafeteria. We ate there in an inconspicuous place once, we didn't go the second time. We were sitting outside, cats were climbing up to you, the toilet was all dirty and neglected. Although the hosts are friendly.
The grocery store is also much cheaper on this side than on the hotel side.
Near the grand hotel, on the way to the beach, there are shops at the hotel (thanks to the same comment, we went there). We collected chocolates with dates inside for 15d and mangoes already for 6d. This seller is not really bargaining, but they speak Russian) we understand each other well. The neighbor has a large selection of souvenirs, but we don't get carried away with such souvenirs and didn't buy anything. And to the right of the hotel, a girl and a guy are selling women's clothes and fur coats. Very friendly comrades! A large assortment of things, if you lack something, you can safely go here.
The beach is close, but to reach it you need to cross the road three times. And be prepared for roads without pedestrian crossings😄we were not ready))
In general, there is not much entertainment in the vicinity. The transfer from the hotel goes free of charge to Dubai Shopping Center and Sharjah. I'll attach a photo. We took a taxi to Sharjah city center a couple of times, it went out on 15-17d in one direction.
And there is also a heated pool on the roof, but at 28 degrees outside we boldly swam. A very friendly man works there. You can ask for umbrellas from him. Umbrellas and towels are also provided to the beach at the reception.
We are not picky and we really enjoyed the rest!

The stated 4 stars are of course too much. We had a rest in 22 in the three-piece Citimax Ras el Khaimah, so it's much better there. The room stock is tired, I have not seen the renovation, the staff is smiling and friendly as everywhere else in the UAE., this always pleases in this country, unlike the aggressively intrusive Turkey and Egypt. The sea is close, the Windows are on the road, there is no sound insulation in the windows, so you sleep like on the road. I was surprised by the situation with the restaurant, it simply does not exist, it is converted as they say in us for weddings, corporate parties, anniversaries and funerals, that is, it is not available for guests. Guests have a corner right at the entrance to the hotel on the ground floor in the lobby next to the reception. This is the first time I've seen this in 18 years of traveling around the world. The food is very poor, very! Breakfast: scrambled eggs, lettuce, toast, jam, beans, sliced sausages. Dinner: lettuce leaves, pasta, rice, fried potatoes, chicken in batter inedible from dryness, and something like beef goulash. There are no fruits and vegetables ever !! And no!! In general!! This is the first time I've seen this in a southern country. The hotel has clearly decided to keep the guests' meals to a minimum. Therefore , I put a three with a minus .

I am writing a review online, we are currently resting from 11.11.23. In previous reviews, they write that the hotel is "tired", but it is "dead". The only plus is that they are settled immediately upon arrival and the proximity of the bay (but this is not the merit of the hotel). Everything is very old and dirty. From linoleum!on the floor to the furniture. In the bathroom there is an eternal puddle on the floor: it is damp, slippery. The light in the room is dim as in a dungeon, there are almost no windows (narrow slits) . Daily cleaning does not change anything: the puddle in the bathroom immediately returns. A towel for the legs was barely begged, and for the face only for 3 days. The staff is no: my yours does not understand. The only lady who speaks Russian only pretends to be trying to help. Regarding the infrastructure: it is 40 minutes on foot. I was pleased with the sea and the beach. I do not recommend the hotel.

Great hotel!
I liked everything very much. Discussion, the room is large, cleaning every day. Tea and coffee in the room. One bottle of water per person, every day. We took full board meals. The lunches are delicious. There is always something to choose. Salads, soup, meat and fish every day. The juices are delicious. The beach is excellent within walking distance. Transfer to the shopping center and to Dubai. The staff is polite. If possible, we will do it again.

Briefly and as a result - there are no cockroaches and bedbugs, the staff is friendly. The three of us were settled into a two-room room.
The room itself is tired, but everything was fine with us - clean and comfortable.
The food is amazing, it was so delicious that they ate with additives. Yes, the choice is small, but for lunch and dinner there was always amazing beef, vegetables and occasionally fish.
The only thing that was missing was coffee. It was soluble, but we had prepared for this in advance and bought filter bags with us.
The sea is 10 minutes on foot, you have to run across the road, BECAUSE there is no pedestrian crossing, however, as on most roads.
There is excellent work of rescuers at sea and clear control.
The beach is white sand, not particularly clean thanks to the piglets who shit where they lie.
There are two excellent shops within walking distance, one grocery, the other souvenirs. The prices are affordable, because the shops are aimed at the local population.

Of the cons: the hotel is very tired and in need of repair, I attach a photo of the bathroom, everything is mildewed and rusty, water flows from the toilet and sink and the drain can not cope with this, it is constantly wet,only the built-in shower from above worked, the water did not switch to the faucet due to its breakdown, so without taking a full shower, hygienic procedures are not carried out. Again, returning to the pros, due to the listed problems with the bathroom, on the second day we asked to be moved to another room and it was done without problems. The room was a little better, but the bathroom was leaking everywhere too.I am attaching a photo of the bathroom from our first room. The furniture is antique, the room is noisy due to the proximity of the road. They position themselves as 4 stars, in fact 1+. The pool on the roof is also in terrible condition, we looked at it 1 time and did not go up again.The breakfasts are monotonous, there is no cheese, sausage, fruit (they were in winter).Of the vegetables, only a tasteless salad of tomatoes and cucumbers. Baking in the form of cupcakes is also tasteless.In the emirates, in general, the problem is to eat normally, there is only fast food with potatoes and burgers around.There is a supermarket 15 minutes from the hotel with an excellent assortment of products, and this is what saved us. There is also a profitable currency exchanger. The hotel has an excellent tour desk where you can buy a tour at a bargain price. Thanks a lot to the guide Faud, who told us in detail where it is worth going, and what it is better not to waste time on, and in general he helped us navigate the area. A great guide!
I do not recommend the hotel for recreation, it is located on the outskirts of the center of Sharjah and apart from the beach there is nothing interesting nearby, and to go to the center 2.5-3 km on foot, there are no buses, and you will not get a taxi. It is better to choose a hotel in the city center, because there is a free transfer to the beach from them, you will not stay without the sea, but there will be somewhere to walk in the evening.
