The architecture and location of the museum is what it is worth coming here for. The building stands on the water, the roof seems to hide under the dome of a tree in the shade, design and engineering used all the features of the landscape and Architecture itself as a work of art. The collection is small, masterpieces and a checkpoint are next to each other, but it's the same everywhere, for the sake of masterpieces we still come and admire. The gift shop did not arouse the desire to buy something, although it is quite large. Yves Klein, Kandinsky, Mondrian are beautiful)

Just an amazing place!!!! 100% recommendation to visit! A very beautiful and unusual location!
Interesting both from a historical point of view and from an architectural point of view!
The only thing to keep in mind is that the air conditioners are working, it's pretty cool, you need to take warmer clothes with you (jacket, pants ..).
Also at the entrance you need to hand over bags, backpacks, water. Also keep in mind.
As a bonus, there is a separate pavilion "children's museum", small, but also interesting.
As well as access to the street, where you can warm up, go to a cafe and admire the sea!

The Louvre Abu Dhabi is essentially an emerging UAE museum, which currently has a number of exhibition compositions from antiquity to the present, has several paintings by famous authors. Located with a modern building, one of the private tai of which is located in the bay. In this place, beautiful photos are obtained. The name 'Louvre' is a paid brand of the Paris Louvre, in fact, apart from the name, it has nothing to do with it. This is done in order to attract visitors. Overall, a good museum. It is good to visit it on a joint tour of Abu Dhabi.

We visited the museum on 03/09/2024. What I DIDN'T like: it rained heavily in Abu Dhabi that day. As a result, the roof of the museum leaked, and water began to drip inside the room directly onto the exhibits! The museum staff immediately brought a group of cleaners, and kicked all visitors out of the first two halls, without giving anything a good look. It was also not pleasant to be in the courtyards, which are located under a leaky dome. It may be beautiful on a sunny day, but when it rains, water drips right on your head. Drainage in the yard is not thought out at all, because of this, large puddles accumulate, around which museum staff run, and try to disperse the water with mops. I didn't like that all drinking water was withdrawn from visitors at the entrance to the museum, as a result, I had to suffer from thirst for the next two hours, and considering that the museum is drowning during the rain, it generally looks like complete nonsense! The museum itself is too pretentious, instead of caretakers, there are security guards everywhere, talking on walkie-talkies, and watching your every move, because of this, it was not very comfortable to be in the museum, it feels like you did not come to the museum – but to some expensive boutique. The exhibits themselves are interesting, but there are few of them, only 12 halls, you can get around in a couple of hours. It can't be compared to the real Louvre or the Hermitage.
What I liked: there is a free audio guide in Russian, which is downloaded to your phone, and the beautiful architecture of the building itself.
Conclusion: if you are already in Abu Dhabi or Dubai and have nowhere to go, you can visit. It is not worth going to Abu Dhabi on purpose for the sake of this "Louvre".

We like this museum. It's not too big, but it has a well-chosen and interesting collection, but the most important thing is the architecture of the building itself. It's something wonderful and unlike anything else.
I definitely recommend you to visit.

I am delighted to visit the Louvre in Abu Dhabi. Yes, this is not the Louvre in Paris, everything is more restrained here. But this has its own advantage. The eye is not blurred, you look at the exhibits slowly, with pleasure. There was a temporary Cartier and Orient exhibition, unforgettable decorations. And there is also a special museum for children, which is also very interesting! I recommend you to visit.

The building itself impresses with its scale and modern architecture. The exposure is still weak. There are several works by Manet and Kandinsky. But, given how the UAE treats all its ideas, very soon the Louvre will attract guests not only with the name, by the way, leased for 50 years.

If you gather in Abu Dhabi, be sure to visit the Louvre. This is not just a piece of the famous French museum, it is a separate original stunning museum that will take you from ancient times to the present day and the future. Score 10 out of 10!!! I will come back again with pleasure!

An excellent museum that is a must-visit while in Abu Dhabi. There are many exhibits with history, but there are also exhibits representing modern culture and art. The architecture of the building itself is very impressive. And, of course, it is better to visit the museum on a sunny day to catch the rays breaking through the exotic dome structure in the photo.

It vaguely resembles the Louvre in Paris. The size is about 5 times smaller. Mostly paintings are presented. There are no monumental structures of ancient eras, as in Paris. I liked the framed geographical maps from 500-700 years ago. They can be studied for a long time. Especially our current territory. Several restaurants and cafes. The Louvre stands on a small island and is washed on three sides by water. You can see sea turtles that sometimes swim into its concrete coves. In the evenings, a drone show takes place over the Louvre. I liked the original design of the dome, which covers all the expositions, the most.

My husband and I were on February 4th. We bought tickets at the ticket office. There was practically no queue at the checkout, there was only one person in front of us. The ticket costs 60 dirhams + 3 dirhams (tax). There are a lot of people, but everyone is dispersed in the halls. We liked the interesting exhibits from different eras and countries. It is signed in English, but the country and the year can be understood. The price includes a visit to the temporary Cartier exhibition (the decorations are beautiful). In many halls there are soft benches / sofas, it is comfortable, you can sit and relax.
Nearby you can swim on electric catamarans (I saw them for the first time), but for two in 15 minutes 200 dirhams, we did not, it is expensive for us

An interesting place. The building is made in the shape of a turtle with an original domed roof of 8 layers.
We were there on an excursion, including a visit to the mosque and the palace. Therefore, there is very little time to take a good look at everything.
As we were told, the exposition changes frequently. There are statues, paintings, tapestries, and ritual items here. There is also an exhibition of contemporary artists.

Don't put the entrance tickets away - they are scanned at almost every entrance. We bought cashless tickets at the entrance, someone showed an e-ticket on the phone.
You can not take water with you, there is a cafe and a restaurant on the inner territory. But we took it from the hotel on the road anyway, the girl will ask if there is water, they honestly answered that yes. Next, we need to throw it out, we're OK, she took up the queue further, and we went on... past the trash)) 🤭 who throws water in the desert !))

A must-visit if you are in Abu Dhabi. The cost for an adult is 60 dirhams (1 dirham at the time of November 2023 is 25 rubles), children under 14 years old are free of charge, from 14 to 22 years old a discounted ticket. It seems to be 12 halls, Wi-Fi throughout the territory. You can download the Louvre app (there is a kuar code on the ticket) and listen to the audio guide in Russian. Or point at the exhibit, as if to scan it and the program will give a description. But I didn't read everything, I was lost, which was also very surprised and liked - a location for children. This is when you leave the main building, there is a separate entrance for children. There, as I understood, interactivity on the screen. We also managed to visit a temporary Cartier exhibition, there was also a separate entrance
