One of the most original and well-preserved manor houses in Belarus. A piece of the entrance alley, park and pond have also been preserved. There is a direct bus from Baranovichi bus station several times a day to Yastrembel, from the stop to the estate - a hundred meters. You need to go straight from the bus stop through the park, they don't let you through the cadet school anymore.

We got to the estate by chance, we were in the animal park nearby and then decided to go somewhere else and the choice fell on the Kotlubaev estate located nearby.
At the entrance to the estate, we saw the cadet corps, parked the car next to it and saw cadets cleaning the territory behind the fence. At first, the idea came to my mind that we would not be welcome here, somehow the everyday life of the cadets and the tourists who came from nowhere decided to explore the estate did not connect in my head into a single picture, but at their own risk they decided to go to her. Our expectations were not fulfilled by the word at all.
Surrounded by cadets, the teacher of this institution, Vasily Konstantinovich, attached a sign to a fence made of metal mesh about conducting excursions around the estate, in fact, he offered us to conduct an excursion, we naturally agreed. With his stories about the history of the estate, the history of the cadet corps, interesting facts and the lives of the people of this place, we just got lost for 2 hours. Vasily Konstantinovich narrated his story with such enthusiasm, admiration, not without a share of humor and sadness, with poems and photographs of these places. The cadets took us inside the ruined manor and also told us a lot of interesting things about their life and being in the cadet corps. We also went to the mini-museum of the cadet corps, where all the exhibits were collected and presented within the walls of this institution by our magnificent narrator.

Сядзіба Катлубаяў. Род Катлубаяў мае татарскае паходжанне. Сядзіба ў стылі эклектыкі была пабудавана ў 1897 годзе Генрыкам Катлубаем. У 1911 годзе зямля была падзелена паміж яго сынамі – Эдвардам і Міхалам. Апошнім уладальнікам сядзібы быў Зыгмунд Катлубай. У 1939 годзе яго арыштавалі савецкія ўлады, праз год ён памёр у турме; сядзіба ж была разрабавана. У 1970-ых гг у будынку зраблі школу-інтэрнат. З 1991 года сядзіба доўгі час знаходзілася ў запусценні. У 2010-ых гг была праведзена кансервацыя будынка.
Шыкоўная сядзіба, мае асабістыя рэкамендацыі наведаць яе.

If you like to visit abandoned buildings, then come here. The place is interesting, but the estate is fenced, and it will not be possible to get inside. But it's great to see everything with your own eyes, especially since there are several other interesting places nearby in the neighborhood.

There is an abandoned factory not far from the building (according to some sources, it is brick). It is not marked on the maps, but it is difficult to get through - right at the entrance to the settlement.

The manor house was built in 1897 (before that time the manor had been wooden for a long time) in the neoclassical style. The house is completely devoid of symmetry, but this, together with the 4-storey tower, which is a high-rise dominant, only emphasizes its harmony.
After the war, an orphanage was placed in the estate, the manor house inside was completely rebuilt. Later, new buildings were built for the orphanage and the old house was empty. Since 2010, the estate has the status of historical and cultural value of national significance. I have found information in various sources that in 2014 the house was bought by Russian businessman Andrei Senko, but restoration work has not been started. I also saw information that pupils of the cadet school, on the territory of which the estate is now located and even a museum is organized, take care of the house as much as possible, but I did not find any signs of this on the spot, and it is unlikely that such a burden can be borne by young cadets. We must return here in the autumn, during the riot of colors in the manor park.

The manor is interesting, the only one of its kind. It is located on the territory of the cadet school, but you can go in and see it quite calmly. I don't know what's inside, everything is boarded up. The park has been preserved very partially, there is a pond nearby. On the grid that surrounds the estate, there is an announcement that a person will conduct a tour for free, for history lovers, and a phone number is indicated, it promises to be within 5-7 minutes. I recommend a visit.

What a gorgeous manor! It was about 100 years ago. But the Soviet government, as well as the Belarusian one, will gladly finish off the emergency that the Germans did not destroy.

Looking at this half-dead, but very beautiful building, it is impossible to even imagine that just 20-30 years ago it had quite a decent appearance and could have been restored, if for this a couple of honest people who spent money on what they were allocated for. The most beautiful building in the Neo-Gothic style smoothly turns into a "kashtounas": "the jewel of the land (soil) of the state."
But there was also a drop of honey. We were incredibly lucky with the estate in Yastrembel. On the fence there was a modest sign "I will conduct a tour for those interested in history" with a phone number and the signature "call at any time, I will come within 5-7 minutes. Vasily Konstantinovich." Vasily Konstantinovich Lavrinovi is a wonderful storyteller who is in love with local lore and history. He has been retired for a long time, but still works as a teacher of additional education at a Cadet school. With his own hands, he creates a museum on the territory of the school. The first hall of the museum is dedicated to the history of Yastrembel and his estate: stucco from the walls and ceilings, balusters of balcony and stair railings, cuttings of the floorboard of those times (before the orphanage for WWII orphans appeared in the estate), a model of an ancient building (it was made by a graduate of a boarding school (also part of the history of the estate), the coat of arms of the Kotlubaev family and 100,500 photographs from various archives, collected bit by bit by Vasily Konstantinovich. The second hall is already the history of the boarding school. But the exhibits there are no less interesting: the photography room (developers, baths, glossers.. ), the bed of the pupils and some things, a book of records of arriving and departing children, bugles, banners and a pioneer uniform (the uniform of the senior counselor and the awards on it are the personal belongings of our guide), a desk with real ink and fountain pens ...
But most importantly, the irrepressible energy of this man. I wanted to listen to him endlessly. Take your time, go there and be sure to dial the desired number

I do not know how long it will stand (((( It is located on the territory of the Cadet School and it seems that it is not even noticed... How many times we drive around the Republic of Belarus, all the buildings with signs of Historical and cultural value are in a disgusting state! They have been standing for decades, useless to anyone and waiting for their destruction.. Guys, I advise you to go, it's not known how long it will last, then there will be nothing to look at. It is 15 km from Baranovich, mainly in villages.

The building of the manor looks pretty shabby — it had a lot of trials. Vasily Lavrinovich, an employee of the school, told us about this. He has been living and working in this place for many years, and he will tell an interesting story with pleasure and knowledge.

● in 1950, Stalin personally signed a document on the opening of a boarding school in the estate: the decision that the local head of the district had to make was signed by the Supreme Commander himself;
● orphans from the DPRK, who were expected here in the 50th year, passed by due to dysentery that started on the train, and eventually ended up in Prague;
● in the "dashing" 90s, they tried to restore the estate several times, but everything ended either with "cutting" money, or sloppiness, or a natural disaster;
● The estate has reached its current state in just the last 20 years
● for 150 years, huge trees have grown on the territory of the estate — some of them exceed 1.5 meters in diameter
