A good beach if you live in a hotel nearby, the area is generally pleasant. Beaches in Dubai in general are better, Al Mamzar for example
But it's harder to get to it.
La mer is conveniently located, a 20 - 30 minute walk from the metro to it.

We were at the hotel in October.Everything is great. The sand on the beach is soft. The construction site does not interfere at all. Transfer to Dubai Mall several times a day. The breakfasts are excellent.

We came here to rest in April 2023, because we wanted a beach with the sea for personal use. We read a lot of rave reviews, watched even more on YouTube. Bottom line: 1.5 months before our arrival, the entire promenade and all the cafes and restaurants were demolished and now it's one big construction site. During the day, piles are hammered with a bang.
The beach, i.e. the sea was also disappointed by the fact that the fences (buoys) are very close and there is no way to swim (especially at low tide) at your pleasure. If you swim behind the buoys, they start whistling. They quarreled with the staff. They stopped touching us, but they spoiled the mood. We started going to the public beach on the other side of the hotel. Of course, there are no sun beds with umbrellas, but the sea is excellent.
About the rooms: the most mind-blowing thing is
the lack of a hood in the shower. There is a fishing line right in the shower stall, pulled out for drying swimsuits. My swimsuit did not dry out in 2 days, so I took it on a towel to a sunbed on the beach, where (to my great happiness) it still dried up. We went to the fix price store, bought a rope, clothespins and stretched bathing suits on the Lilliputian balcony to dry.
I was also pleased with the hair dryer. It's in the nightstand! Secured! It is removed by 20 cm maximum! As you want, so dry yourself.
Otherwise, nice staff, good room cleaning, beach towels are provided by the pool and on the beach, there is a free scheduled bus to the Museum of the Future (on Sheikh Zayed Road) and to the Dubai Mall (Burj Khalifa Tower, singing fountains)
Have a wonderful holiday if you choose this hotel.
I think it's better to be warned about unpleasant moments in advance.

The hotel is normal, the bay is within walking distance, dinner is minus, you can only take breakfast, for dinner you can go to the pier... In general, everything you need to eat, a minimum of Russian speakers... Recommend. I do not recommend Samakaty.

Rested from 23.07.22 to 03.08.22 with my sister
The rooms are modern and beautiful, everything is there, the bed linen and towels were cleaned and changed every day.
We had buffet-style breakfasts included + you can order different types of egg dishes from the menu or the dish of the day - the food is very tasty (especially cheeses and croissants)), from drinks - coffee, tea, juices, water, and drinks from the coffee machine.
The hotel itself is very beautiful, in the style of a beach holiday, there are a lot of cute details in the interior. Located in a nice neighborhood with a beach, an embankment, nice cafes and shops, it's very nice to walk.
The beach is clean, comfortable sun beds, together with a towel offer cold water. The pool is cooled, open until 22.00
The staff are very friendly and responsive: they could not figure out the cooling system - they came in a minute, set everything up and explained. They mostly speak English, but there is a Russian-speaking staff.
There is a free bus from the hotel to the metro and Dubai Mall, the schedule is at the reception.

We chose the hotel because of its location (close to the center) and good reviews, thanks to everyone who leaves them. We lived together with our daughter, the room was not small for two, there was enough space)) The breakfasts are wonderful, lunch and dinner are very simple, not varied. There are many restaurants nearby, almost on the territory of the hotel. The sea is pleasant, deep, the sun beds are very comfortable and wide, the beach is clean. The staff is on top, the staff is ready to help in everything and at the same time unobtrusive. Since mid-May, there have been noticeably more guests, respectively, it was felt that it became more crowded and noisy. Before that it was more comfortable. Of the minuses- it's very cold on the floors, after the beach the way to the room is not very pleasant)) The bed was not changed for us for 10 days, although it was cleaned every day. Summing up, we are very satisfied with our stay at this hotel, everything is thought out and convenient for guests. The locations nearby are amazing!

I'm thrilled! In my opinion, the only adequate option for reasonable money on the coast of Dubai (correct me). Everything is new and clean, the hotel of the 20th year. Very tasty and always different breakfasts, and I am a picky person in this regard. Beautiful promenade and la mer beach. The views from all the windows are super. The pool is being cleaned. The staff is friendly. Cons: French balconies. I don't understand it. It is a crime not to make normal balconies on the shore. The second disadvantage is that clothes dry badly, there is no place for this.

What you need to know- first of the minuses- the hotel is expanding, construction is underway, which did not bother me personally in any way; the transfer to the Dubai mall and the metro back does not adhere to time and does not wait- get out 30 minutes before the promised time; the menu is in English, and the restaurant staff is English-speaking; the children's menu was found on the last evening of the stay, but it is there; there is not much to feed the child for dinner, you need to bring familiar snacks with you; The course of dlr in the hotel is greatly underestimated - up to 3.5 drx at 3.63 drx in Dubai mall; dirhams are needed for duty; there are no bathrobes in the rooms; look for a hairdryer in the bedside table)); the length of the cord is adjustable by a button)); there are no grocery stores within walking distance. There is no children's play area. Uber is more expensive). A taxi from the Dubai mall to the hotel is 1.5 times more expensive than there (taxi drivers cheat), there is 25 drx (500 rubles), back 40. In general, I recommend the hotel. Great location for a holiday with children - the hotel is right on the shore. A lot of sun beds - enough for all the guests. It makes sense to take a room with a maximum of breakfast, because lunches or dinners are very modest and the choice of dishes is minimal. Not far from Dubai Mall. In November there were jellyfish, they didn't warn about it - the jellyfish was very much and painfully removed. Overall - a good place

We were treated to ice cream in the morning. Polite staff. 100 dirhams were charged for early check-in. Nothing for late check-out. The food at the hotel to order is very tasty. I got great pleasure from living in it! I recommend it! I would come back again! The view was of the city and very beautiful. What else I liked is that there is a free bus from the hotel to the Dubai Mall, the Museum of the future and the metro, it also takes you back. We were at the end of July. The weather is wonderful. The sea is gorgeous and warm. I was pleasantly surprised by a vacation in July in Dubai!!

We were at this hotel in April 2021. If it would be possible to put 10, I would.
Briefly pros and cons:
+ new hotel
+ great beach
+ delicious A La Carte food
+ high-level service
+ infrastructure (restaurants, shops nearby)
+ gorgeous views of the sea and the city
+ to the center 15 minutes by taxi
+ 30-40 minutes to the airport
- small room
- little entertainment for children
Food:
We got to the "A la Carte". The level of serving, as in a good restaurant, was very tasty. By the end of the holiday, a buffet was opened, but we continued to order from the A la Carte menu. The child was given free fresh juice for dinner, although it was not included (only water and soda).
Staff:
Very responsive and friendly, any issue is resolved quickly. The service level is 4-5 stars. thank you!
Number:
It's really small, but we (2+1) had enough. The sofa unfolds into a full-fledged single bed (see photo).
Beach:
There were always enough sunbeds. If the staff sees that towels have been lying on the sun beds for a long time, they clean them, I think this is the right decision. The entry into the sea is excellent, the child was 2.5 years old could not be pulled out.
Infrastructure:
There are a lot of restaurants nearby, we went there for lunch (there will be a good discount from the hotel), there are shops within walking distance and a small shopping center (15-20 minutes on foot). The center is very convenient to get to, by taxi to Dubai Mall about 15 minutes.
Price:
At the time of the trip, it was the equivalent of a good 4-ki or even 5-ki in the center of Dubai or in the nearest resort cities (such as Sharjah or Ajman). Now (the end of summer 2021) they say the price tag for this hotel has grown.
In the photo: the view from the room (we had a view of the city, but the sea was also visible), a sofa laid out, lunch that was brought upon check-in (there was no strength to go to the restaurant), breakfast.
