The hotel is located in the Fatih district, near the metro station.Sirkegi. The hotel is small, but quite cozy. All the sights of historical places are within walking distance. Sultanahmet Square, Gulhane Park, Topkapi, Eminenyu Marina, Galata Bridge, Grand Bazaar and Egyptian Market.
Not far from the T1 tram stop, Marmaray (Sirkeci station) is just around the corner, the metro is 20-25 minutes away. walking.
The breakfasts are quite normal, buffet style, on a terrace of 4 floors with a partial view of the city.
The manager of the hotel Gekai is very contact, speaks Russian well. Advises on any questions: where, when, how to get there, where to eat, etc
By the way, 300 m. There is an inexpensive BalkanLocanta from the hotel, where you can eat inexpensively and deliciously. As well as a number of small cafes and eateries with street food with reasonable prices

We stayed at the hotel from February 18 to February 24. The check-in was quick, the owner was very responsive, explained everything, showed everything. The hotel has an excellent location- transportation, main attractions, cafes, markets, despite the location in the central part, the hotel itself is on a quiet street.
Breakfast is a buffet, everything is always delicious and fresh. For coffee lovers- instant coffee only. Breakfast on the terrace with a beautiful view of the Galata Tower.
The room is clean and has everything you need (refrigerator, safe, slippers, hairdryer) change of towels every day. It was very warm, even had to be ventilated)
My impressions are extremely positive

The location is great, the central part, but not noisy. Within walking distance of the metro, the Egyptian market and the marinas. The food is standard. Eggs, sausages, cheese, olives, lettuce, etc. Monotonous, but very native)). The administrator Gekkai is very kind, speaks Russian very well. He will always help with any questions. The veranda on the top floor is open until 24-00. You can sit with a company or just eat your own food.
There is a hairdryer in the room, tea and coffee at the reception are always available for free. There are no hygiene kits. There is only shampoo and shower gel in a filling container.
Among the disadvantages are cleaning (garbage is not cleaned at all), the quality of bed linen and sound insulation.
The hotel is wonderful for its money.

I went to Istanbul on 28.01-31.01 2025.
I was looking for an inexpensive hotel in Istanbul (just to spend the night). While reading reviews on Yandex, I came across the Istanbul Central Hotel. The price was pleasantly surprised-99 euros for 3 nights for two (similar hotels are 60-100% more expensive)
The location is great, everything is nearby (the Blue Mosque 8-10 minutes at a leisurely pace, the Grand Bazaar too).I booked a room with payment upon arrival. Before the trip, the owner of the Gekai Hotel contacted me, confirmed the reservation, and offered a transfer from the Airport.Upon arrival at the hotel, all expectations from him were fully fulfilled. The host is a kind, helpful person, standard breakfasts for economy hotels (eggs, vegetables, coffee, sausages, French fries, etc.)You definitely won't stay hungry.I've been to Istanbul several times before, but I didn't get a chance to see the city, so I took an all-day tour right at the hotel.Gekai made a $20 discount for two people.it turned out to be 160 dollars .(by the way, the entrance to the HAGIA SOPHIA mosque COSTS 25 EUROS without a guide)We've been to 7-8 places.
I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND this hotel!!!!!
Oh, by the way, the hotel has a beautiful view of Istanbul (especially at night)

Excellent price-quality ratio. The hotel is within walking distance of attractions and metro with tram. Migros is nearby, but it's best to go to greens, there's a drunk there. Friendly staff. There are simple breakfasts, but nevertheless it will be enough.
Yes, there is a tired renovation here, but considering all the advantages for a small cost, it should not be considered a minus, since the hotel is only for spending the night.

An inexpensive but cozy hotel within walking distance to historical attractions, Sirkeci train Station, Eminenyu Marina, Galata Bridge, Egyptian Market, etc. The manager, Gekai, who speaks excellent Russian, helped to navigate the area, explained everything. The breakfasts are simple, but tasty and hearty, and tea, coffee, water are optional at any time. Nearby there are supermarkets, the dining room of the Balkan Locanta with inexpensive prices, as well as many cafes.
The photo shows a view of the city from the hotel's terrace, where breakfast is served.

A small budget hotel in the historical part of Istanbul. No frills, but with everything you need. All attractions are within walking distance. You can hide from the noisy city streets in Gulhane Park, which is a short walk away. Go down to the embankment, walk along the Bosphorus and the Sea of Marmara. Pleasant breakfasts with a decent variety are waiting for you in the morning, you can have lunch or dinner nearby, in the very popular dining room "Balkan". The owner of the Gekai Hotel is Russian-speaking and the visitors mostly are too.

We stayed for 3 nights, to walk around Istanbul , excellent location from all the main attractions , Hagia Sophia 8-9 minutes , there is also the basilica cistern , the Blue Mosque, to the Galata Tower by walking across the bridge 20-25 minutes , I advise you to walk, the bridge offers a magnificent view of the mosque , Suleymaniye 8-10 minutes, the Egyptian Bazaar and the Grand I advise you to visit the first one, except for gold and sweets at the Grand Bazaar, we didn't notice anything else!
Excellent transport interchange within walking distance, as well as the ferry pier, I advise you to travel around Istanbul by ferry on your own, the ticket is slightly more expensive than a bus ride!
The hotel itself is quite cozy, the rooms were cleaned every day, gel, shampoo and liquid soap were used for hygiene, there was a standard hotel hair dryer, but surprisingly very powerful! We got into bad weather, rain, snow and wind all three days, the room was very warm, there was no draft anywhere, we took a room with a window a little more expensive!the breakfasts are of the same type, but there is something to have breakfast with, the chefs always replenish the table if something is over! Through the dining room you can go to the terrace with a view of Istanbul! It is very expensive to eat at an institution in Istanbul , I recommend the dining room of the Balkans , located 5 minutes from the hotel , the prices are reasonable , the portions are huge !The owner of the hotel is pleasant, speaks Russian, gave a map, marked all the sights, explained how to get around Istanbul!
Yes, the hotel needs renovation, but for that kind of money it's a gift, it's enough to spend the night!
And I do not advise you to book through Yandex travel, when registering, it is clearly stated about crediting points after departure , but in the end it turns out that their answer is "this is not so "!!!

The hotel meets all the requirements of a budget Istanbul hotel. Eminenyu station, Galata Bridge, Egyptian bazaar are within walking distance. There is a metro station nearby. There are Russian-speaking staff at the reception, a transfer to the airport was ordered for us. We reached the new airport in an hour. The rooms are not large, but in Istanbul you stay in the room only at night. Breakfast is served on the 4th floor, and you can also sit there in the evening. Towels were changed every day, now not all fives have such luxury. In general, I liked the hotel.

The hotel has a very convenient location, close to the main attractions, transport, metro. We came to the hotel in February with our daughters to show the beauty and flavor of Istanbul, left in the morning, came late at night just to sleep. It is important for us that it is clean and there are no insects. That's how it was at this hotel. Towels are changed every day, cleaning every day, everything is clean. We had breakfast in the morning, quite normally, and already had lunch and dinner in the city on the way. There are Russian-speaking guys at the reception, all questions are easily answered and advised. In November, we went to Istanbul again and decided to stay at the same hotel. We decided not to push our luck and stay in a trusted hotel again. We arrived as if to old acquaintances. The Turks are generally very hospitable and ready to help (we felt this already when leaving the airport in search of the subway and our station) And yes, it is easy to get to the hotel from any airport by metro, and already from the hotel to the airport, if there are heavy things, it is better to take a taxi, the reception helps with this. Near the hotel there is a grand bazaar, cafes, marina, Galata Bridge, Hagia Sophia, Sulmania, Topkapi Palace and shops, pharmacies. I rarely write reviews, but I can definitely agree with the good reviews that other people have left here, it really is.

Manager Gekai explains everything, suggests where it is better to go. Tea and coffee can be taken in the lobby at any time. There is no kettle in the room. I was at this hotel from 2.10-8.10
When booking, there was a room without a window, but when checking in, they offered a room with a window, it was very pleasant
The location of the hotel is amazing, the tram is 7 minutes on foot, you can quickly get to the metro, the markets are within walking distance, the sea pier is also close, you can walk to the Galata Tower
Migros is a two-minute walk away
The staff is welcoming, tea/coffee is free at any time, we went down for tea every day in the evening, we never refused.
The hotel owner is a very kind man, speaks Russian (like most of the staff) will always answer your questions, tell you how to get there better
The service was pleasant, towels are changed every day (not in all 5 * so), beds are made, the floor is washed.
Bed linen is changed every 3 days
The breakfast is a buffet, everything is fresh. As in all Turkish hotels, breakfast included: eggs, French fries, sausages in sauce, sliced cheese/ sausage, vegetables, tea/ coffee, chocolate balls with milk
, everything is delicious
Breakfast takes place on a closed roof, the views are amazing
There is a cafe in the Balkans within a two-minute walk, it is very tasty, the prices are not high, the portions are huge, if you ask for rice with meat, they put a plate of rice and a plate of meat, we took for two, since on the first day half remained
There is also a Domino's pizza near the hotel, it is also delicious, we took Bali pizza, try it!
I recommend this hotel! everything is fine, MANY THANKS to all the staff for our stay! We'll be back!

The hotel is one of the cheapest in the area. And taking into account the breakfasts that were not provided in other places, the cheapest. Very conveniently located. There are bazaars, cafes and restaurants nearby. Tram and metro stops. Close to the ferry. Gulkhane Park is 10-15 minutes away, taking your time. St. Sophia Cathedral is also right there.
Room cleaning and change of towels daily. The host is wonderful, very hospitable. He will advise, help, and find discounted transfers and excursions.
Repairs are required in the rooms. But I'm afraid if it's done, the price will skyrocket several times.

Hello everyone) This was my first trip abroad, to Istanbul. I chose the hotel based on reviews and excellent location, and the administrator speaks excellent Russian 👍
I booked an economy class without a window (there are towels, slippers, gel, shampoo, air conditioning, refrigerator, safe), but upon arrival, I was given a room with a window, for which I am very grateful to him, he is such a good person, he will always prompt and help.
The hotel provides breakfast (eggs, salad, sausages in tomato sauce, olives, sausage, 2 types of cheeses, vegetables : cucumbers and tomatoes, 2 types of bread, very tasty bran, drinks:tea, coffee, lemonade, believe me, it's very convenient.
They take place on the terrace under the roof, the view from above is unrealistically beautiful for the whole city, you can see the Topkapi Palace, the Galata Tower and the Bosphorus Strait, you can feed the seagulls right from your hands, they are huge there and wake up in the morning with their conversations. Tk all the sights, pharmacies, supermarket, metro station are within walking distance, I only spent the night in the room, the rest of the time I walked a lot, I went around all the European and Asian parts in two days. I sailed on a ship through the Bosphorus Strait, it's unrealistically cool.
The hotel has Wi-Fi, it really saved me, because the connection and the Internet did not work for me. Although I bought a Megafon SIM card just for the trip, but alas.
At the hotel, Gokai gave me a map of the city's districts and with the map I built routes for my trip. I really liked it, I will definitely come to the hotel more than once. I recommend it to everyone🤗

Let's start with the pros:
-Room cleaning every day and change of towels.
The advantages are all
Further cons
The breakfast included in the room rate is the same every morning. Plus, French fries, tea, and bread are constantly running out. The staff doesn't really follow this, you need to constantly go and ask them to give you something.
The rooms are very small, and that's putting it mildly. The rooms are very dirty, there has been no repair for 100 years) dirt and dust are literally everywhere, cupboards and cupboards are broken, the doors do not close, the refrigerator can also be closed only with a "kick".
Don't really believe the photos, there is no such beauty. You even have to bow down to get toilet paper.

Location: the historical part of the city, attractions (Topkapi Palace, Mosques, Grand Bazaar, Egyptian Bazaar, Basilica Cisterns, etc.) are all within walking distance. There is a tram stop nearby, from which they left for the airport with transfers by metro, as well as to the European part to the Galata Tower. The marina of Emine is also nearby, from which you could go by ferry. Perfect! Shops, exchangers are all nearby, the same Migros. There is a budget dining room in a couple of minutes, but sooo delicious dishes! The room was small, but at the same time there was nothing superfluous (bed, bedside tables, safe, refrigerator, good bathroom). Cleaning was carried out every day! The breakfasts are monotonous, but delicious and you will not stay hungry (eggs, sausages in tomatoes, French fries, olivier, cheeses, sausage, cucumbers, tomatoes, apples, butter, jam, chocolate, tea, coffee, bread). What I liked the most: a wonderful man at the reception (unfortunately, I did not ask his name). He was very friendly, prompted me, told me about Istanbul. Thank you so much for the warm welcome!!!

The room is simple, clean, warm, hot water without interruptions, towels are changed daily. The breakfast is basic, the same according to the buffet system, it is enough to refresh yourself in the morning - vegetables, boiled egg, bread, butter, cheese, sausage and sausages, French fries.

No entry document was signed, everything was decided immediately on the shore, so they had to pay for the unused nights. The request to relocate was refused, saying that there were no rooms. Upon presentation of written demands, they nevertheless agreed to relocate, but the negativity did not decrease. Highly not recommended. They went to another one without a refund. Initially, I chose a hotel in Istanbul based on the number of reviews on Russian aggregators. The choice fell on this hotel. And not to say that I lost it. By the way, perhaps at the expense of Yandex, practically only Russians rest here. There was also a trace of the owner, who speaks Russian very well. And there's a nice guy Burke at the reception. We chatted with him for hours about everything and nothing in English. If you talk to him, give him my regards.
As for the economy class room with one double bed: it is located in the basement, but there is no dampness. Unless the window is not conveniently located, but this is not so important. Overall, the room is clean. Daily cleaning service. It may seem a little cramped, but it's not critical. There is a safe.
The breakfasts are hearty, but monotonous. They don't change from day to day. And there is no juice or water at breakfast. Only Turkish powdered drink and tea. But in general, everything is delicious. I was satisfied. And the view from the top floor, where breakfast is served, is amazing.
The best thing is the location. 7 minutes walk to the port, 30 minutes to Istiklal, the main mosques of the city are also 10 minutes away.

The hotel is close to the sights, tram, metro, ferries are all nearby. At the same time, on a quiet street. Breakfast is no frills, but quite enough. There is an elevator. Things can be left if the flight is late. 2* hotel- don't expect more. It fully corresponds. It is quite enough for a budget holiday.
