An excellent compact and cozy airport, like in Astrakhan. A small number of passengers, duty free is available, there is a mini-cafe for a snack, free wi-fi. You can walk from the plane to the plane on foot.

The three of us flew to the UAE: me and my girls. Check-in was quick, we even got seats nearby, thanks more for that, we were very happy, because a place for a 13-year-old daughter often gets a little far from us, we have to solve this issue on board. Passport control and all other points were quickly and calmly passed. All the staff are very friendly and calm. There is one cafe in the waiting room, the choice is small, we took donuts and coffee there.

The small, cozy airport, although all directions are duplicated in English, is very confusing. There is no point in approaching the staff with questions. Security has more or less tolerable English, the rest chew so that American English is just the height of perfection))
In the arrival hall, after customs, you can buy local SIM cards and exchange money.
The only disadvantage is not to buy water, there is simply nowhere, so stock up in advance.

The airport is old and small. There are few flights, so all procedures are quite fast. It is not necessary to arrive at the airport more than 2 hours before departure. You can't stay in it for long. There is a compact duty-free shop. Two VAT return points in the area before passport control and before departure. The employee is one for 2 points. VAT is returned to the card. There is a currency exchange and a small cafe.

The airport is, frankly, small. The staff is working slowly. Our flight check-in started late. The passengers were handled by a minimal number of employees, as a result, the queue moved extremely slowly. It's the same at customs. So be patient. For those who are particularly tricky, check-in for a flight outside the general queue costs $ 40. This service is offered by the guys at the entrance to the airport.
The departure waiting area is very small - a hall with seats for 300 people, there are only two boarding gates. 😅
In duty free: some sweets, several types of toys, some alcohol and cigarettes, a rack with nuts/spices, a rack with some electronics and a rack with a souvenir.
One cafe where you can buy drinks and sandwiches.
The toilets are low-key, but clean enough. Although they are wet, especially after the Hindus 😅
In general, the building is clean, the air conditioners are working.

It's a very small airport, and you can only have a snack with not very tasty dried milk. Dutifrey is very very tiny. We stood in line for registration for an hour, there were 10 people in front, and for $ 40 there was no queue. AND ATTENTION!!!! Taxi service is only available on a foreign card, they do not issue cash!!!

Upon arrival, free SIM cards (as in Dubai) are not distributed. They check for a long time with jokes at passport control. On departure, if you have 2 tickets with luggage of 10/20/30 kg per ticket, one suitcase (for 2 tickets) if you exceed the weight by at least 1 kg! THEY DON'T PUT YOU ON BOARD!
