30 years ago, in 1996, this angel nest in Montmartre was opened. The Wall of Love is even four years younger. For thirty years they have been selling all kinds of little angels here: so many angels at the same time will not surround you even in the Baroque hall in the museum. The store even smells like you're inside a floral postcard (in fact, it's the scent of their signature powdery interior "angel fragrance"). Angels, cupids, cupids, cherubs in all their forms live here - even figurines, even pictures, even jewelry… Even if you don't buy anyone, just come in and be touched. If you're lucky, you'll see the amazing Brigitte de Kuyper, the most elegant founder of the store. She often greets guests herself, paints angels with her own hands, or makes jewelry. All the boutique staff are very nice and friendly, especially the older ones - in ten minutes of conversation they told me about all my Russian friends and advised me to have a good Russian-language concert. The place may seem too vanilla to some, but it's definitely worth coming here - there's nothing like it in all of Paris! There will always be customers at this boutique - because customers do not stop being born, getting married, getting baptized and celebrating Valentine's Day. And here there are great gifts for godchildren, and on February 14, and for weddings, and for birthdays, and for grandparents, and for the Christmas tree, and for musicians, and for those who collect angels, who give angels as a talisman, who hang them in the car as a charm. Many of the angels are handmade in the boutique's workshop, and they are painted right here (you can sometimes find sellers doing meditative coloring).
Despite the theme of angels, the place is completely secular and beyond the bounds of Christian symbolism. There are red-haired Irish, Asians, and African Americans among the angels: in general, you can find an angel who looks like yourself. And there are also wonderful meditation cards that you can "talk to" right here: you ask a question and draw an angel card with an answer from the deck - the answer is usually very inspiring, soothing and supportive. And there's also a great idea for postcards from Paris (it's not like sending out the tower by mail). The boutique has a wonderful series of postcards with an angel and letters of the alphabet: you can send the first letter of his name or the whole name to your recipient. And there's also an idea about a week of postcards with a declaration of love: in the French version, "I love you" has 7 letters, so you can send the phrase letter by letter - and your loved one will gradually collect your Parisian confession from the postcards. As for stamps, the local post office is located a couple of minutes from the store, buy international aircraft stamps and delight your loved ones with surprises in the mailbox. Come on in, it's very close to the Abbesses metro station and the Wall of Love.
