A great hotel for outdoor recreation. Pleasant and clean rooms with a view of the slope or the city. Unfortunately, I can only rate the hotel restaurant at 4 out of 5.

In addition to the excellent location and the view of the slope, there is generally nothing to set off. The junior suite + room does not even have an elementary locker where to put things. The floor is stained, the wall in the toilet is not even plastered. In the shower, the taps with a blue and red mark (cold and hot water) are mixed up in places. The sauna is good, renovated, with a large window, but the screw caps sticking out everywhere are something. The water temperature in the outdoor pool is insufficient for such a procedure.

The landscape is crazy, emotions are at their maximum, but in terms of information, the staff are very greedy. The information desk is always full, you wait in line endlessly. We rented some equipment, we kept our hands from gloves for 2 days, trying to wash them uselessly, but it was also creepy.
We rented a room at the shimbulak hotel, the repairs were not completed, but people had already begun to settle in, the shower water does not go away, the wall is stupidly in the plaster in the room it is cold, the breakfast that is included in the room price is generally stupid, fried eggs, toilet paper sausage, dry cupcakes, in general, there are no positive impressions at all. I visited there in an emergency mode at six in the evening everything was closed, what's the point of staying there with a night out is not clear. In a cafe, you wait for a waiter for 40 minutes to take an order. You dump a lot of money and in the end it's not clear why.
Go there to see the mountains and that's it.
Thermos of tea, boiled eggs and fried sausages.
Then maybe I was satisfied with the visit. And so it's not what I expected at all.

It's expensive and not worth it. 2 beds, TV and that's it. There is no refrigerator, kettle, hair dryer. There is nowhere to hang towels in the shower - there is no hanger. One wall is not finished in plaster at all. The shower does not drain the water, the drain does not work, the administrator has zero reaction, the TV does not have an antenna, but there is YouTube and good Internet. There are a lot of joints in the renovation of the room. In general, repairs are required. There are not even floor mats. Roughly speaking, it's like a two-bed hostel with a separate toilet and shower. All this does not cost 50,000 tenge. Only the location and no more. It is better to make a reasonable price so that the hotel is full than to bend such prices and the hotel is half empty.

A chic ski resort in the gorge above Alma-Ata, Shimbulak or as it is also called Chimbulak is located in the middle mountains and its cable cars lead to the Bogdanovich glacier. More than one mountaineering, turiade and ski competitions were held here. Beyond the ridge is the picturesque valley of the Northern Tien Shan, the Left Talgar. The skiing is not bad, the slopes are completely snowy, well, the possibility of getting into the heart of the mountain system - in summer, for example, the Sunny Glade is beautiful (it's on foot along the valley of the Left Talgar to the "country" of alpine meadows, fir trees, many rivers and beautiful peaks from all sides) - I highly recommend visiting, but at least Google it :)

The hotel is good, the restaurant, the dishes are excellent, the wines are expensive, it's a pity that there are few not very expensive dry wines, beer. Breakfast buffet, ski storage and boot dryer. In the evening, you can play table tennis. The staff is exceptionally friendly. It's warm, there's hot water. Sometimes not all shower functions work. And the residents broke all the hair dryers. We asked at the reception and were given a hairdryer. There is a sauna, separate women's and men's days. I went out and went straight to the mountain. Of course, not 5 stars, but closer to 4 stars.

The place is interesting, but the queues are incredible, starting from the city (the only bus 12 goes from Kurmangaza). It is still tolerable to go there on a cable car. And from there it took several hours just to land. It's very unorganized. It's not thought out.

Everything is fine.The simplicity of the standard room is compensated by the work of the staff-good guys who are ready to help you with any issues.An excellent restaurant, a large selection of dishes at reasonable prices, everything is fresh, delicious, large portions.For those staying in the hotel, a 20 percent discount on skipass is a tangible bonus.I really liked it, I can recommend it.
