In the Luxembourg Gardens, you can wander through the alleys and admire the statues of queens placed here and there.. This one attracted attention, first of all, because I did not know such a one. Figured it out.. A Frankish queen of the seventh century, originally from England, the wife of Clovis II, to whom she gave birth to three sons — the future Frankish kings Chlothar III, Childeric II and Theodoric III. She ruled the state under her son, even banned slavery for Christians in the kingdom of the Franks, but lost in the hardware wars and retired to the Schell monastery, where she died. In the ninth century, it was colonized by the Catholic Church. And the sculpture itself is very beautiful!
