The museum is interesting. It's a pity, we were brought on a bus tour to the fullest. The guide ran with us through the halls, almost at a gallop. I was also surprised that people go to the museum in flip-flops and shorts. This is not a c0rtir! You should try to enter the Hermitage like that! So, everything is fine, but our tourist always manages to mess everything up.

It's a good museum. Even the children found interesting exhibits for themselves. Excursions are conducted by 10 people or more. We were lucky and we got there. It was interesting!

The museum itself is not bad, but the lazy employee of the guide just simply amazed with her impudence. there were 8 adults and two children, we asked for a guided tour. To which this young lady said that she conducts the tour only in groups of at least 10 people. And she didn't count our two children, although we also bought tickets for them. The hospitality is off the scale (((

The museum is normal, neat, cool, the staff is friendly, the guide was not taken, they did not recruit him. Although the staff themselves grumble at the management and complain about their fate. To complete the exposition, I would like to add information about the genocide of Georgians in 92_93 by the Abkhazians in the hall of modern history. But they will prefer to keep silent about this. And so I recommend visiting and I would still come myself.

As they wrote in the reviews below, there is no opportunity to take a tour, half of the signatures on the exhibits are also missing (although the employees convince the opposite), we walked around, took a look, liked the hall with the latest history the most, and spent most of the time there studying materials on the military conflict. For the sake of this hall, I can advise you to visit the museum.

We wanted to visit and learn a little history. There were 2 adults and 6 children, they asked if we could ask for a tour. We were told that if there are 10 people, then it is possible. Leaving the children at the entrance on a bench, we went to look for the same inquisitive visitors. And, hooray, we found them. There were even more than 10 of us in total! We entered, bought tickets and waited for the guide. We were told that they would get through to her now and she would come. Indeed, after 5-7 minutes, the guide came and began to ask us what kind of group we were... Organized or recruited. For us, this was the first reason to be surprised. We told her as is, to which she replied that the groups were only at 16 o'clock. It was 11 a.m. at the time. We tried to ask, since we are such good fellows and were able to gather more even than necessary, and this is money, by the way, even if it is small, give us a tour now. She said no and left, saying everything is signed there and after reading everything you will understand (on showcases and exhibits, I mean). Of course, we apologized to the people who were so invited to the tour and went to explore the museum ourselves. I think that, of course, it would be interesting with a guided tour... And not all the windows had inscriptions. So, I think a lot of things have remained an unknown story for us. Walking through the halls, we saw a mountain guide who was bored sitting on the windowsill. Here she confirmed my guesses about why nothing is being done in Abkhazia for its restoration and prosperity... I don't want to work. Of course, I don't mean all the people of this blessed land. And later I found out information that I had restored the museum and the Russian Federation was paying them salaries. It even became a bit insulting - my country, Russia, is contributing money here, but they refuse me, it would seem, elementary things. Then, if you love your country and Homeland, you probably want as many people as possible to hear and see its story. Many are ready to tell what they know for free. But, it wasn't this time and not in this case.

The museum is good, BUT it is impossible to get the services of a museum guide if you come alone, those without a group. A minimum of 10 people are required. Because guests of Sukhum often write about this moment, I previously called the director of the museum and clarified whether this was really the case. I got the answer that yes, only with the group.

A fairly large museum, with a very small, but interesting, exposition. You can walk for 40 minutes. There are no guidebooks for the museum, the descriptions of the exhibits are quite stingy. A guide can be hired for a group of 10 people or more. Entrance is 200 rubles for adults, 100 for children

Good afternoon. We arrived in Sukhum 2000 km away, in the morning we came to the museum, there were 3 of us. The entrance fee is 200 rubles for adults, 100 rubles for students and 50 rubles for children. There were enough museum staff to come with us and tell us about the exhibits. But, unfortunately, when we asked for a tour, we were refused, referring to the fact that the tour is conducted only for a group of tourists. It is a pity that the museum staff has such an attitude to their work! It was interesting to walk around the halls and just watch, but we didn't understand much. We were not allowed to leave a review, which also upset us! We have a completely different attitude towards tourists in our city! Even if you come to any museum for the first time, an employee will approach you and start telling you about his beloved small homeland.

There are very interesting expositions, including one devoted to the history of the struggle of the Abkhazian people with Georgia. If anyone is interested, then you can draw parallels between the events of 92-93 and what is happening in Ukraine after the collapse of the USSR. You can see a lot of parallels.

The museum is interesting, but to go ONLY with an excursion, how can it be so bad to look at the exposition in the main museum of the country, there are no signatures on a third of the exhibits, I consider this unacceptable!!!

The museum did not live up to expectations. It seems that the director of the museum is not at all interested in local residents and tourists finding out information about Abkhazia. The stands are not informative enough, an individual tour can be ordered only if there are 10 people, the staff are silent. In neighboring Adygea, the museum is 100 times more interesting and the staff love their visitors! Learn from your neighbors!

The guide told very interesting facts about the history and national peculiarities. Without it, just looking at the exhibits would not be so interesting. A separate hall is dedicated to the Georgian-Abkhazian war of 92-93, it contains historical documents, front-line personnel and exhibits.

The place is mandatory to visit. There is a lot of historical information about the country and the city. There are many artifacts, photos, stuffed birds and animals of the inhabitants of the local fauna. The exhibition about the 1941-1945 war and the conflict with Georgia made a great impression. The ticket price is 200 rubles.

Interestingly, it is a pity that there are not signs everywhere. And even more often there would be team tours. I came with 3 children in the afternoon. And I was told that the tour is only held once a day at 4 o'clock. They did not wait, they looked at the exposition themselves. I was with a small child up to a year old, I was not allowed to go to the second floor with a stroller (this is the first in my practice).

Unfortunately, the museum left the most unpleasant impressions! Starting with the fact that they arrived at 16:30 the day before, the cashier said that the museum was already closing, so come back tomorrow… At the same time, we clarified whether an excursion is possible the next day if we pay for 10 entrance tickets? We were told that yes. The next day, when we came to the museum, the cashier persuaded the guide for 10 minutes (!) to conduct an excursion, she did not want to. We went around on our own. The museum's collection is gorgeous - there are so many exhibits, but there are no signs and signatures to them, which is why everything is unclear. After walking through all the halls for an hour and not understanding anything, we left the museum. At the exit, a group of employees discussed who would not come to work on what days and discussed their low wages… It is completely unclear why keep such a staff that does not want to work, and the guide needs to be asked to carry out his direct duties? Two days of waiting for the visit resulted in utter disappointment.

Good exposure, interesting. The entrance is 100 rubles. When 10 people are recruited, a group is formed to which a guide is assigned (free of charge). Therefore, either group up, or buy all 10 tickets, or go watch it yourself.

The entrance is 200 rubles (07.2022), they do not work on Monday. On other days from 10 to 18 (till 17h). If the group consists of 10 people, they give a guide. Or at 16 o'clock, if there is a group, they will conduct an excursion. Two floors, the second one is stuffy. The halls are not large, but informative, there is something to see. Some of the exhibits are not signed.

Alas, the museum is good, but it is absolutely useless without a guide. There is no way to get any information. Half of the exhibits are not signed. It is written at the entrance, if 10 people are recruited, then they represent the guide. We have 10 people. But we were still denied a guide, arguing that there should be an organized group. They also offered to buy an excursion. It didn't help. They never learned the history of Abkhazia.

I am very glad that I was able to visit this museum. I was given a tour of the museum, if I'm not mistaken, a girl named Rada! She told everything very clearly, explained and showed it. The similarity of the life of the Chechen and Abkhazian people was striking. I advise everyone to visit this museum

It can be fully explored in an hour and a half. It is better to wait for the group (for a group of 10 people or more. the guide stands out) and walk with her. The main difference from the county museum of local lore is two halls on the theme of the 1992 war
