A gorgeous and beautiful place. For the second time this year, my wife and I climbed there, very steep views open from a height. There is an inexhaustible well near the tower, you can always refresh yourself and drink water, but the mechanism of "extraction" of water would need to be upgraded - for some reason the pipe is tied to a bucket, it is not very convenient to get it, it is easier when just a chain. The recommendation to everyone is to put on sneakers for going there, do not kill your feet in slippers and slates and your sandals (for madame). The climb is quite steep in places, especially at the beginning of the journey, but it's worth it, the whole New Athos is in the palm of your hand from above

A gorgeous place to meet the sunrise or sunset wire.
It didn't work out for us, not with the heyday, not with the sunset, but we got up in the morning so as not to get hot.
The Anakopian fortress is located on the Iverskaya Mountain at an altitude of 344 meters above sea level.
Once it was the most beautiful city on the Black Sea coast, a fortress city - the capital of the Abkhazian kingdom, the residence of the Abkhazian kings, surrounded on all sides by several defensive lines, a powerful and impregnable structure that witnessed many bloody battles. An early medieval dilapidated temple is located inside.
A sedimentary well adjoins the temple. It is hollowed out of the rock and lined with limestone stone. In ancient times, rainwater was collected from the roofs into it, nowadays water comes from the formation of condensate on the cold walls of the tank from warm moist air masses.

It is a very beautiful place, I advise you to go without an excursion, so that you can safely walk through these beautiful places and enjoy the tranquility and beautiful views. One of the best and most beautiful places in Abkhazia!!! We took a taxi part of the way, then climbed the mountain ourselves, amazing views of the city!!!
