I love to check out a good local spa/sauna when traveling. So when I came for visit to Kazakhstan and saw how loved this place was, I decided to give it a go.
Yes there are a lot of different types of steam rooms and dry saunas, all sorts of treatments you can get, from massages to scrubs, and a Restaurant as well. The facilities are great.
However, what shocked me was that they charge you for every minute you exit late beyond the hours booked.
Nobody even told me this when I bought my ticket. If someone informed, I wouldn’t have been a mere four minutes late…
After all, it’s only four minutes! If I knew a fee I could be avoided if I would’ve hurried up more, it would be easy.
I’ve been to spas in many different countries and never experienced a fee.
The other thing is that the clock at the exit is different from the clock in the changing room. It was also different from the world clock on my iPhone. So even though I was “four minutes late “by their clock, I was seven minutes late.
This is charged 80 Tenge per minute.
And staff needs to ensure the clocks are matching up/ have the correct time, or else they are just scamming people 😉

Place to visit to visit if you are OK with public sauna and bath. Historic place in the city. Used to be the biggest in Central Asia. 3 types of sauna, Russian, Finnish and Eastern Hamman, swimming pool to relax, massage. Beer pub to pass glass or two... good place to enjoy time with friends, who loves sauna

We were just deceived by them at Arasan Wellness & SPA and had to pay an excessive fee. He also restricted his freedom of life and called the police. Then my friend came and they reduced the fee and I left. This shop said that the masseurs did not speak English, but in fact they induced them to do extra tasks and did not fully inform them, which is very bad behavior. Especially a masseur who says he is Japanese, everyone must be careful about him. In the future, after everyone goes in and points to the items on the wall to express themselves clearly, do not respond to their conversations to avoid falling into their trap.

A wonderful place, friendly staff who explains and prompts everything. Clean, calm.
I completely rebooted. I spent five hours there, ordered various care complexes. Peeling and wrapping are pure delight. I especially liked the east wing, where you can lie in soufs on a hot stone 🤤
You can't shoot in the bathhouse itself for obvious reasons, but I'll attach a video circle from the cafe, which is located inside there. That is, after total relaxation, you can also eat. The video shows the level of our relaxation - it 's hard to talk 😂

Hello everyone, The sauna is amazing). I envy Almaty residents with white envy that they have the opportunity to visit such an awesome Sauna). I arrived on Sunday, 02/23/2025 at 8:00 (happy Holidays to all Soldiers and Men) and took a three-hour session: It's a thrill, it's a pleasure 🫶👍👏
If you want to make new friends, meet interesting people, you can't find a better place. The community is bombastic, the steam is perfect, the hygiene is top notch

What can I say, the sauna is good. The party was excellent, we went on Friday, July 4-5 and were satisfied, 3 hours flew by unnoticed, it's great that you can rent all the accessories.
The staff is friendly, since we were with a friend for the first time, we told the women who keep order there, clean, give out things, and one kind woman showed us everything, told us, led us through all three floors. After that, I became very comfortable being there, despite the fact that it was the first time, we knew all the places.

I've never been to a public bath-it's a delight! We had a rest on the ski slope and after intensive skiing, the sauna was super helpful. 3 steam rooms: hammam, Russian, Finnish. There is a swimming pool. Since we went straight from the mountain, we rented slates and towels in the sauna. The men's and women's departments are separate, but there are rooms for those who want to relax together. An hour of arrival was enough for my husband and me, from different offices. I'd like to be there with my friends another time.

This is a historical place.This building was erected in the time of Kunaev and the location of the bath rooms has remained in place to this day.I like going there, as there are different, interesting personalities everywhere.
I especially like it when the sauna is heated, those who know a lot about this wonderful pleasure.On weekends, these guys come very often, and I'll spread wormwood around the perimeter of the steam room, and they'll steam chamomile with salt, a mental bath, and you can feel your lungs clearing.

It is mandatory for all tourists to visit. I always go to this complex with great pleasure. There's a lot of space, cool steam rooms. I take another massage every visit. I recommend.

I was impressed by this place. Atmospheric and original, there is hospitality everywhere! All that was needed was for everything to be explained properly at the entrance.. they didn't find a place where they drink tea, for example. We found out that it was already later) different pairs, different pairs, for every taste.. and the prices are very affordable, if I lived in Almaty, I would go once a week!

The best steam in town! The atmosphere and the number of services are excellent! And there is nothing to say about the historical nature of the architecture of the building and the interiors!!! If you are in Almaty, you need to go here! A giant sauna complex - in one wing there are oriental baths - soufa, massage, hammam, comfortable armchairs, in the other there is a Russian steam room, sauna and basik. Very tasty cuisine. The price tag is above average, take the seagulls with you and come on a weekday. Monday and Wednesday are retirement days.

Well, Arasan famous baths are just a cannon, lyubov foreva. Amazing soufs in the basement and a nice pool. If you go for a massage, it is better to go for a massage first, and only then to the sauna, so as not to lie there, not to cool down for 15 minutes.
In the kitchen, there are wishes that there is a normal kvass, and not this incomprehensible body that is poured 😅

Tea is generally a separate topic, any herbal or their Arasan tea was taken by golim water, how many times have I already told the girls it's useless, and the prices there are not cheap. Of course, no one forces us to buy, but we must have the conscience to brew properly, and not save on tea leaves and grass. Another problem, of course, is parking. In general, the bath is not bad.

A great sauna, probably one of the most famous in Almaty. I go on Mondays in the morning, there are moderate people, there are always places in the steam room. Parking in winter is not always smooth, you have to wait for the Nord. The bath itself, despite the high passability, is clean, it is pleasant to be in it, especially the area with a swimming pool. Nice interior. The steam rooms are good, spacious, there is enough steam, sometimes someone overdoes it. There are many different services, massage, steaming, washing, etc.

Excellent public bath! A building with a unique architecture. There are many different options for steam rooms, Finnish, Russian, hammam, and my favorite sufa. There are various pleasant procedures for wrapping, scrubbing, massage. Polite staff.
I also liked that there is a lot of space and there is a swimming pool where it is pleasant to drink tea. Great vacation, matching the price and quality.

If you are a resident of Almaty, then you know this place for sure, if you are a visitor, then you definitely need to allocate three hours to go here. These are the largest baths in the former Soviet Union. There were others, however, in Tashkent. There are steam rooms for every taste, cafes and additional services, such as washing and massage. I signed up my wife about a month and a half ago. The reception said that their quality is good. However, during the visit, the spouse was very unhappy. The water was only cold, the towels were old, before the massage itself they smeared the back with some kind of cream, from which the back burned for quite a long time. The services were refused. The money was returned. But the sediment remained.

Cool public bath with excellent steam! A giant building. The men's department occupies 3 floors: a large shower room, two Russian steam rooms, a round pool, fonts, hammam, Finnish sauna. Everything is organized at a high level. Clean, the bath attendants are watching the steam. There is a bar with a chic homemade kvass. A great place to relax body and soul.
