A decent museum. It is located in the historic building of the former Jesuit collegium, so the halls of the museum correspond to the place. A good collection of paintings, iconography, and church utensils. Polite and cultured staff. Before viewing the frescoes, it is better to watch an interesting film about how ancient frescoes are restored, this one will help you understand the exposition correctly and not miss the details. We have never encountered such an accessible explanation anywhere before. Just for the sake of this, it is worth visiting this museum.

A magnificent gallery. We arrived in August from St. Petersburg to Belarus for a few days, we wanted to visit the city of Polotsk. We didn't know that all cultural institutions in Polotsk are closed on Mondays, we really wanted to see the art gallery. But the wonderful guide Alesya agreed to conduct a tour! Thank you very much! We were greatly impressed by the gallery itself, the city of Polotsk and the hospitality of the Belarusian people. Shkyry dzyakui!

Great place, very friendly staff. The lovely women told us about all the exhibits, although we did not order an escort. The exhibitions are very interesting and impressive. We recommend it!

It's a beautiful place.
But it is better to take tickets only for the 1st and 2nd floors, for the 3rd floor it is too expensive for the 1st room with paintings

We were delighted with how pleasant the staff are there.
they are friendly, friendly, smiling, and very kind to visitors. they talked about the technique of performing the work, showed the film how it was all transferred, in general - it was wow!
you can return to Polotsk (for us, tourists) just for this.

A gallery worth visiting - we came across a very friendly staff, they suggested and told us where everything is and what to pay attention to)
A gallery of 3 floors - it is described in more detail below in the reviews, but we liked the exposition on the 2nd floor (although in general, there are mixed realistic paintings, abstraction, and statues in places).

I recommend you to visit. Inexpensive and quite interesting, especially the exposition of the paintings of the temple, is truly unique. I will also note the competent presentation of exhibits.
From the comments, I would like a slightly more friendly and attentive staff, especially at the entrance. There is also a lack of information about the exhibits (in icons, for example, I would like to understand where they come from, and metal products without any description of the material and technique)

I really liked the art gallery. Admission was inexpensive. There are antique exhibits on the ground floor and you can listen to information about some of them for free by scanning the kewar code. On the second floor there is a modern painting. It's really interesting, I advise everyone.

A very interesting exposition. A historic building. Frescoes taken from the 12th century church using a unique technology, which can be found there in the museum.

A must-visit! It is not so much the paintings that are interesting, as the frescoes taken from the walls of the 12th century temple and a 20-minute film about how it was done. The removed frescoes are on display in the gallery. It is very informative and interesting! We weren't going to go, but when we did, we didn't regret it!

A pleasant museum in one of the buildings of the Jesuit Collegium. Here you can look at frescoes and modern Belarusian art. I recommend taking a guided tour: they will show and tell you everything, but it is very inexpensive

I liked everything very much, the gallery building itself breathes history, interesting works by modern artists, ancient icons, frescoes, there is something to see. Not worse than in Minsk)

There is enough exposure to visit. The first floor - icons, the second floor - paintings, the third floor - modern art. The visit took a little more than 1 hour without an excursion. At 16.45, the workers were already trying to leave the building, although the museum was open until 17.00. There was no one but us. I think that the museum staff could at least say SOMETHING about the exhibition. The ticket price is 7 rubles.

A little weak. The only plus is the frescoes taken from the cathedral, which are on display in the lobby. 2 floors of permanent exhibitions, the third floor is changing

I've been here more than once, I love walking and leisurely looking at paintings and sculptures. And there is something to see here. I especially remember the portrait of a man, poorly preserved, but the eyes looked like they were alive.
