This is my second mosque. The first one was in Kazan. It was cool in Kazan. But after visiting the mosque in Astana, I realized that I want to see mosques all over the world. The grandeur and scale are beyond comprehension. It takes my breath away just thinking that I was there. My husband didn't want to leave, we just sat on the carpet for a long time and were silent.
At the entrance, a special person explains through a megaphone where to go to undress and where to leave your shoes. Handkerchiefs for women are generally available, they are clean and different in style. There are plenty of mirrors to look at, and lockers are always available, even with an abundance of visitors. We were both wearing white socks, walking on the carpet and on the marble. The socks remained the same white. No one scolded us, no one made comments. Not knowing that men are not allowed to enter the place where women pray, the employee very kindly explained to us. There is a cafe.
There is a large dining room on the ground floor with very pleasant prices, courteous staff and incredibly delicious local cuisine. Before going to the toilet, even to wash your hands, you also need to take off your shoes and put on special slippers, and no one scolded, but calmly explained.
The underground parking is very large.
When you are in Astana, go to the mosque boldly, touch goodness and peace personally.

There are a lot of people: Sometimes it can be too noisy.
Climbing the minaret: is it worth it? The price of 2000 tenge for a few minutes of lifting seems to be too high. There may not be enough time to fully enjoy the view, especially if there are a lot of people in the queue.

I was in Astana for literally 2 days, I couldn't help but visit this place, everyone advised me. The view from the outside is amazing, it is really impressive how much work has been invested in this place, it was not possible to look inside, at the entrance to the courtyard at 21 o'clock a group of 6 people, led by a guy who introduced himself as a guard, very insistently, rudely and menacingly ordered me to leave, referring to the fact that the mosque is closed, to talk to the point and they didn't want to answer questions, I already thought that they would fight with me right in the mosque. Although I heard from the locals that it works around the clock, and the maps indicate the working hours up to 23 hours. In general, the impression of the architectural masterpiece was spoiled, so much for the friendliness. I would recommend tourists to be extremely careful!
