This place was found unusually. They walked, walked towards the Siab bazaar and then after the shops you can see beautiful tables, benches, with a kurpacha in the national style. We decided to eat. We took cabbage soup, dumplings, shurpa and shish kebab. Cabbage soup is just excellent, dumplings are good, shurpa is also worthy of respect! They took the "green" salad. The plate with it is big. Cucumbers, Bulgarian, tomatoes, radishes, lettuce leaves, red rayhon, dill, garlic, parsley. There are even as many letters as there are in this plate. We also took a salad with cabbage. It contains ordinary white cabbage and red cabbage, as well as carrots, cucumbers, and sunflower oil. The taste is not skewed either towards the oil or towards any other ingredient. Iced tea is waiting for all guests on the tables. But we ordered tea with lemon. They brought it in a golden teapot. It's also delicious. The atmosphere in the cafe is very beautiful, trees, umbrellas, and decorations in the national style. I hope my desire to visit this place again has been passed on to you! A DANGEROUS PLACE! PEOPLE ARE BEING BULLIED!
My girlfriend got severely poisoned by eating samsa with meat here.
Today, on December 6, 2024, walking along the main tourist street of the city, my girlfriend decided to try a local samsa. After 10 minutes, terrible nausea began, accompanied by non-stop vomiting for about 7-8 hours, including the entire flight to Moscow.
I don't know what they're cooking this poison from or under what conditions, but I won't let the enemy taste the food here.
We plan to contact the relevant law enforcement agencies.

We wanted to drink tea and eat at the same time, the phrase tea was present in the title. Well, that's lucky. We sat down at a dirty cot (there was a joke when they began to wipe the table - they poured tea, scattered our things (which they put aside) - they told Yu that this was an intern. Well, okay, we think it doesn't happen to anyone). There are a lot of Russian dishes on the menu. We ordered a couple of salads, mashed potatoes with cutlets, Uzbek bolognese and tea with baklava. By the way, there is absolutely no tea in this place (in fact, only black, green and 3 unintelligible herbal ones) and this surprised me. Remembering Dagestan, it's a shame. As a result of the dinner, all the dishes were tasteless (well, except baklava) - the second surprise (usually quite tasty everywhere). It resembles a medium-sized dining room, but not a restaurant. The check of 300 thousand finally finished off. Tasteless, without service and very expensive for this. 2 points - only for the festive atmosphere, even the dancing was arranged by guests and waiters, commendable

It's a disappointment.
It was very dirty in the room, the table was sticky with a touch of old dirt, a lot of napkins were spent to remove at least a little squeamishness. We really wanted to eat and looked at the bloggers that they cook delicious, so we decided to stay. But even here we were not pleased. The meat in the mantas was terrible, half of it was not chewed at all, the tea was like water, very slightly tinted, the salad of tomatoes and cucumbers was not the first freshness (either it was cooked a long time ago, or- which is very frightening- we were mixed with the salad of previous visitors). The waiters do not understand Russian perfectly, it was not easy to communicate. Dirty dishes are not cleaned in the process, only after the customers leave. Only the pilaf was delicious, but if you imagine how they cook it in such a dirty place, it becomes unpleasant. I do not recommend this place.

A couple of years ago, this place was praised, but... Either we were unlucky with the waiter (twice!), or the guys relaxed. There were no two portions of Kazan kebab, my husband took mantas. They were falling apart, but okay. I waited for half an hour, after which we called another waiter and asked about the fate of my lunch. After another 10 minutes, our boy returned and said that the dish was over! Should I warn you? And apologize? Should I suggest a replacement? I did not expect that in Uzbekistan (!) I'm going to stay hungry...

We were at the end of January, maybe this is the problem, but there is no half of the menu, instead of vegetarian soup they brought soup with meat (but replaced without question) and of course, a paid hole in the floor (toilet), something with something, albeit for 2000 soums. As a result, pilaf - 35,000, rice soup - 30,000, "Turkish tea" (tastes like a bag of Princess Nuri 5000 and baklava without any special distinctive features (none) for 15,000. A very mediocre place for a tourist center in close proximity to one of the main attractions of Samarkand. ⭐️ for the location and ⭐️ for the waiter with the beautiful tree

We were satisfied with the establishment. Great atmosphere, we ate and drank. Friendly and attentive staff, our table was almost always clean. The garbage was immediately removed. Bottled water from refrigerators and regular tea are provided free of charge every Friday, not included in the price tag.

But...A teahouse happened. Everything would be fine if it weren't for the heated mantas, not cooked for us, and even with sour cream, which smells sour and mildew, if it weren't for the waiter, whom you won't call, if it weren't for the dirty toilet, for which you have to pay extra, if at least someone apologized.

A place for tourists with tasteless food and overpriced prices.
Lagman is tasteless, pilaf is mediocre.

Unfortunately, I didn't like it. It's nice and pleasant inside, but the food was disappointing. What was brought under the guise of samsa is not samsa at all! A dry layered piece of dough with traces of meat. The kebab is dry and not tasty, besides it is expensive! 25,000 per serving, when in Tashkent we charge it for 12-15000.
In general, the prices in the institution are not that cheap.
Only the pumpkin mantas were delicious, but half of them were torn.
In general, we didn't really eat anything, but the check came out decent.
I love Uzbek cuisine with all my heart and even felt offended for it, because there were so many Europeans there and they may have the wrong opinion about the dishes.

Just a disgusting place, there was a company and not a single dish that we ate, not just did not like it, but they were spoiled. The pilaf was with dried and weathered meat, the carrots were sour, the compote had a toxic taste, the mantas were falling apart, all the remaining salads were dumped into the eggplant salad and brought this with each dish.
Guides like to drive here, so the owners do not care about the service and quality of food at all. Why try, because the location will do everything for you.

It's something incredibly delicious. I ate there every day. Lamb in any dish in a great performance. Salads, tea, my God, well, whatever your heart desires. Very tasty cuisine. The service is fast, sincere, they do not take their eyes off you, any whim, the expectation is small, the atmosphere is simple, I REALLY liked it, I recommend it. I highly recommend it.

"Taste of Moscow" in the historical center of Samarkand. We ordered a Greek salad with my wife (cucumbers, tomatoes, lettuce leaves, 3 olives and a kind of cheese), in principle it's fine, but it's not Greek either. Salad of fresh vegetables (cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, without dressing), fine. Shurpa soup: diluted broth, a small piece of beef, 1 potato, a quarter of a carrot, a handful of chickpeas torn from the budget of the Ministry of Tourism of Uzbekistan. I don't recommend it. The estimate is underestimated only because of the paid toilet. With a check of 160,000 soums, he must also pay 2000 for the toilet. It's a small thing - but for an institution designed for foreigners, it's just a disgrace.

The service is disgusting. We came and sat down at a table. Some young man ran up to us and "kind of" took the order. Maybe he wasn't a waiter, but just decided to play waiter - you never know how to have fun here, I don't know. Perhaps the staff of this institution is not able to remember the elementary three items from the order. Perhaps in this "restaurant" you will be served only after you have thoroughly quarreled with someone. Let's not speculate any further.
As a result, almost an hour of waiting, the order is not ready. The boy who took the order is not there. The rest of the waiters make puzzled faces, do not know anything, do not understand Russian. There is no administrator as such. Later, a lady appeared, looking serious, tried to figure out the situation, but did nothing. I suppose this institution is still on the way to civilization, because the staff does not know how such situations are solved (to apologize, compensate for the time spent and negative emotions with some kind of compliment from the menu, etc., etc.). Accordingly, I do not recommend anyone to visit it. Let them train, as they say, on cats, but as soon as they learn - in a year or two, it will be possible to serve people)

If it were possible to give a rating of 4+, I would do so. But... The quality of the food and reasonable prices + hospitality outweigh. With a very modest entourage (not very clean tables with old tablecloths covered with film, which is very reminiscent of the sunset of the USSR), they are well fed here. The portions are large, there is an assortment. Even we vegetarians found mantas with pumpkin and various salads. Lovely tea. They are cooked and served quickly. They work late. They also sell takeaway pastries. It's more than a teahouse, it's like a cafe. That's why I'm betting 5.

Instead of a lamb kebab, they brought streaks, fat and bones. A portion of pilaf was the size of half of a similar pilaf from Tashkent, the meat in the pilaf was the size of a gulkin's nose and it was streaked. In a good pilaf, the meat is always tender and moves away from the bone and veins by itself. Apparently, in this institution it is customary to use low-quality meat and not really think about the quality of its preparation.
