A good student (and not only) canteen. There is always a good choice of meat dishes, there is fish, but not often; the side dish is more often of 2 types, for the first there are also a couple of soups to choose from, there is also fast food. The first, second and compote will cost an average of about 5 rubles, if you take fish or chops, then a little more expensive. There will be a discount upon presentation of the student ID.

Decades have passed since my student days, the repair is the same. But I was pleasantly surprised by the improvement in the quality and quantity of dishes. And since there was and remains a classic huge student canteen. Those who studied at the BPI BNTU know it under the name Buchenwald.

A good place to have lunch. There are cutlets that do not exceed the price of 2.5, they are completely normal. The rest of the meat selection is so-so. Like a piece of pork with mayonnaise and a little cheese 5.79😆. And there's a problem with soup, because the price tags are only at the beginning and you don't always have time to calculate the prices)

A detailed and thorough review about the dining room, in which I have had a chance to eat for at least 5-6 years. The first thing worth noting is the truly Soviet spirit of the institution. Whether this will be an advantage for you or vice versa a disadvantage, it is difficult to answer; for me, this distinctive feature of most Minsk canteens does not cause negative emotions. The main contingent of canteen #2 is students, so you should be prepared for queues during breaks and after couples. Rush hour at 13:30 - 14:00, in the evening around 19:00. But even at this time, the wait does not take more than 15-20 minutes. The rest of the time, you can find a maximum of 20-30 people in the hall.
As for the food, it is really delicious, and even cheap. If a check in a decent cafe in the capital starts from 15 rubles, then here you can eat up to the dump in just 5. The spacious hall will allow you to choose a place at a distance and do your own business: read a book over a glass of tea, work on a laptop. No one will drive. In general, Buchenwald is a budget dining room with a fairly good location and decent quality food, sometimes sinning dirty tables and running cockroaches, which in no way detracts from its advantages.

When I first came in, I really liked it – I love the Soviet atmosphere. It was also fun to watch the BNTU students on the ground floor in the cloakroom. The food is normal, but I would say it's expensive - it's cheaper (surprisingly) in the BSEU dining room + there are no prices written anywhere and it was only at the checkout that I found out how much I had to pay. Most likely, the price was hanging somewhere in the beginning and the locals know where it is, but this was my first time... I will
return to the Soviet atmosphere. Still, it was not possible to preserve the pristine beauty of the dining room. And although there are chic chandeliers and some other interior elements, cheap and low-quality tables and Chairs that are not stable and broken in places immediately catch the eye. If the old tables had been replaced with some suitable design, everything could have looked better. Well, the tables were dirty...
and sometimes something made a lot of noise from the kitchen: it was annoying and made it difficult to talk.
Maybe I will change my mind, but so far I have only such impressions.

A landmark place for all Polytechnic students! Over the decades, only the staff room has been closed, But otherwise unchanged. I don't understand why greying and plumping Bears, Genki, and Tolikas don't hold their meetings in it! After all, for five years it was there that we dined and drank tea with a sandwich (there was such a shortbread cake in the early 80s, although more often it was eaten in the 8th building, on the drawing)... It's a great place. The menu is not very diverse, but it is conscientious and high-quality.

If you evaluate the dining room specifically and do not compare it with Minsk restaurants, then this is a solid 5 points. There are more than 1 type of soup, many types of the second and what is nice is that the food is always on auto-heating. And also for me, as a cocaine addict, there is a refrigerator with 0.5 dose.
