Friends, this is a truly historic place, iconic and mysterious.
The history of its creation can be found online. The fortress was built in 1810, and it played an important role in the war against Napoleon. It is still rumored that it was here in Berezina near the fortress that Napoleon's treasures sank, which he took out of Moscow. It is possible, but not a fact, since according to other sources Napoleon fled through Borisov. But there are definitely treasures there, a treasure has already been found once, and according to the documents it is still hidden.
In pre-war times, the fortress served as a political prison, there was a built-in punishment cell - an egg-shaped room where the prisoner could neither get up nor lie down normally, but was in a state of the letter "zy", which drove him crazy and broke him for life. During the Second World War, the fortress turned into a concentration camp, where 40 thousand of our Soviet prisoners of war were killed.
The story is amazing.
As well as the current abandoned state of the fortress is striking. Trees are visible inside the building. It turns out how much time it costs in such a poor way.
Nowadays, the fortress attracts not only tourists, but also filmmakers.
Various films were shot here, including one of my favorite Farsi language. The film is about willpower, about the thirst for life and the ingenuity that a prisoner had to apply in a concentration camp in order to survive. And so, for the filming of this film in 2020, decorations were built on the territory of the fortress: one-story brick buildings, gates, observation towers. Since then, all these fake buildings complement the legendary fortress. You will also see them in the photo.
They say that there are large passages and corridors under the fortress. Perhaps they connect nearby fortress buildings.
In general, there is something to see, something to read, something to admire and something to grieve about. If you are in these parts, be sure to stop by there.

Beautiful landscapes and iconic historical sites associated with the most important moments in history.
It would be good if all this was put in order to the end and museum exhibits were made of abandoned buildings that you can be proud of and view these architectural monuments with pleasure and comfortably moving around the territory, as well as inside buildings without any fear.
A must-visit!

It is very extensive - Okkerman built an entire military city (it is a pity that on the site of the ancient part of Bobruisk). You can walk here, or you can get around by car - there are parking lots everywhere. 80 percent of the fortress consists of the ruined remains of bastions, military warehouses, barracks...
It is a pity that there is no single museum, it is a pity that in Soviet times the interior was used rudely and clumsily, destroying ancient traces of time.
But it's still interesting, curious and impressive.

The place is quite interesting, but at the moment (summer 2024) it is abandoned. The barracks buildings are in disrepair, although it is noticeable that people are still climbing inside.
Forts. 2 out of 3 are still available for, so to speak, visits, but purely at your own risk. Because all the forts are also slowly being destroyed. One, the farthest and most open, apparently became a gathering place for drinkers. It is very cluttered, heaps of bottles, glass, some rags. In other forts, this is much less. Probably because you still have to work hard to get inside.
But the buildings themselves are very interesting. I want to believe that there will be money for their conservation and restoration to a state accessible to the mass visitor.
Unfortunately, vandals have vandalized both outside and inside the buildings.
One of the Forts is completely closed - the gates are welded shut, the bars on the windows. Plus, structural elements and bricks are crumbling from the outside.

A fairly large-scale structure. The degree of preservation allows you to assess how it looked before. Plus, the skill of the builders of that time is impressive: all these vaults, arches, carved bricks. Nearby there are barracks - also a fairly solid structure. Of the minuses, I will only note that everything is abandoned, there are no information signs, there are no tracks, there is quite a lot of garbage.

Cool! This fortress is old, some towers and walls are relatively clearly visible, the territory is large. It is a pity that, although it is protected by the state, it has a very deplorable appearance, at least it was cleaned inside.
Nearby there is a monastery, the Nevsky Temple, a monument to soldiers. Some of the towers are boarded up, there are those where you can go.

It is a pity that the fortress is abandoned and is not being restored. We walked, looked at the ruins and saw an endless stream of tourists (our own, foreigners). The buildings are in very good condition. The area is clean on the street. Inside, of course, he wants to be better. I really hope that one day such historical sites will be restored and tourists will start visiting the fortress.

It's an amazing story, but there's no information other than the Internet. In Belarus, apparently, little is invested in historical sites in order to attract tourists not only to the Brest Fortress. Although we must pay tribute - the memory of those who died for their native land is honored. What do you know about the Bobruisk fortress? - I didn't even hear anything until I visited it, and the story is no less significant than that of Brest...

The Bobruisk Fortress has a complicated history since the time of Napoleon. The first concentration camp during the occupation of Belarus by Poland in 1919-1920. During the Great Patriotic War, after the occupation of the city by the invaders, the fortress housed a concentration camp for Soviet prisoners of war, Stalag No. 131. On the night of November 7, 1941, the Germans set fire to the barracks of the fortress and shot about 7 thousand prisoners of war. This episode is reflected in the story of Ales Adamovich "The Punishers". By August 1942, about 40,000 people had been killed here.

A place where you can walk for a long time, finding more and more traces of the past. It is a pity that it is not very suitable for mass tourism. It would be possible to put up a stand with a diagram and a brief history, and hang more informative signs. But it's so interesting. The ruins are in varying degrees of destruction, some buildings (which probably also belong to the fortress) are in decent condition, used for various purposes. Does it look like it's for filming a movie? The territory is large. It is interesting for fans of abandoned buildings and, in general, for those interested in history.

A fortress? Are you sure she's there? It's a little bit spread out, but as such they didn't find a fortress there, ruins, yes, a little, a prison, it's worth it, it seems... and nothing else, actually
If there is nowhere to put time, then you can look in, but if it is limited, then you should not waste it on it.

Definitely worth a look! In the heat of summer, the buildings are cold, but it's scary to go in - the condition is emergency.
Unfortunately, no one is restoring the fortress. Apparently, a building was made for the cinema, which has already collapsed, and that's it. But there is something to see! The history of the fortress is not simple at all, there is something to tell...

The place is extremely interesting, but you need to visit it prepared - at least you need to have a plan of this fortress in your hands. Individual internal buildings are scattered over a large area and it is somewhat difficult to understand what is what without a plan. Even so, without a plan, it is not possible to imagine the entire scale of this structure. I see great tourist potential in this place.

I give 5 stars, because it is a historical place, a landmark of the city. Unfortunately, it is neglected, polluted, destroyed. However, all this does not detract from the greatness of the fortress, its beauty. I recommend definitely visiting, but keep in mind that in some places it can be dangerous due to the deplorable state of the structures. By the way, the smell is less noticeable in the cold season.

Such a significant object of history should be launched to such a state!!!
Of the restoration work, it is to brew grilles and nail the inscriptions "caution, collapse".
Where is the government looking?
Who is responsible for the maintenance of the Bobruisk fortress?

Plus, the Bobruisk fortress is a wild place where there is no one, nothing is well maintained and no one is watching it in any way.
You can climb where it's open. Wander through the ruins, around the area, climb the embankment.
The disadvantage of the Bobruisk fortress is a wild place where there is no one, nothing is well maintained and no one is watching it in any way.
People are clearly gathering inside the redoubts, burning bonfires, drinking, painting walls, leaving garbage. Everything is falling apart, and in a couple of decades there will be nothing left.
Nothing is well maintained, neither to buy an excursion, nor to inspect the buildings properly.
It's a pity that this is so
