The first emotions are passing, but the impressions of a trip to Thailand are as strong as ever! Having extensive experience traveling to different countries and seas, it is worth noting that Thailand and the Andaman Sea stand apart. We had a vacation together with my 15–year-old son in March - April 2025 with the tour operator FUN&SUN (special thanks to Anastasia, who picked up this tour for us in Minsk) at the GOLDEN PARADISE HOTEL 4* in Phuket, Thailand. We liked the hotel very much, it was very clean, cleaning was regular, bed linen was changed every other day, towels and bathrobes were replaced every day, soap, paper, water, tea, coffee were added. On the first day, they provide toothpaste and brushes for each person, as well as drinks from the road and fruits as a compliment from the hotel. The check-in was very fast, when we arrived, all the necessary forms were ready, and that's it, in the room. The hotel staff are all polite, friendly, good-natured, everyone speaks English, special warm greetings from Guitar and Namwhan). The hotel charges a deposit of $ 100, which is given back in the same bills upon check-out. We had a room on the 4th floor with a view of the mountains, the jungle and the village, the sunsets and sunrises are very beautiful, iguanas crawl through the trees, birds chirp, the smells of the jungle, greenery! A separate point is the breakfast, papaya, pitahaya, pineapple, guava were made from fruits, lettuce, cucumbers, tomatoes and very tasty dressing sauces for them. They also provide several types of hot dishes – pasta according to local recipes, potatoes, rice, fish, chicken, beef, seafood, even edible ham and sausages, of course, fried eggs, boiled eggs, cereals, croissants, a couple of types of pastries, toast bread, tea, coffee, there was definitely soup, as well juices – passion fruit, orange, apple, guava.
A convenient shuttle service runs from the hotel according to a schedule and by appointment, to Karon beach in 5 minutes, to Kata beach in 10 minutes, if desired, you can walk, especially to Karon beach in 12 minutes on foot. We walked from Kata beach to Kata Noi beach, about 20 minutes, the road is very steep, Kata Noi beach is worth it, it's very beautiful! We took a local bus (100 baht one way ticket) to Patong Beach, Bangla Road to the entertainment center). The best beach, for my taste, of course, is Karon Beach! White sand, crisp as snow, beautiful turquoise water, clear bottom without a single pebble, depth after 25-30 meters, incredible sea, wide view, very beautiful pink sunsets in the evening! We didn't use umbrellas or sun beds (the cost is 200 baht per day), the sea is so pleasant that I don't want to leave it for hours! At 7 p.m., beach workers are asked to leave the water. It is worth noting that the sun is very active, creams and protection are only local, sunscreens from other countries cannot cope, and local remedies save burnt skin.
We should also tell you about the road from Minsk. We took a bus to Moscow, then flew on regular Air China flights with a transfer in Beijing, so it turns out much cheaper, while the service on board is better. Beijing has a convenient and understandable airport, as well as Phuket airport - you immediately need to change the money to pay for a visa (always with a reserve), then there is a pointer for Belarusian citizens where to go, everything is very clear, the main thing is peace of mind and everything will work out!
Thailand is a country that is suitable for active, curious tourists, and it's probably my favorite country right now! Despite the rather difficult road and, after all, the paid entry (visa), now I want to go back there again and again!
