Galata Bridge was a real discovery for us during our trip to Istanbul. A walk across the bridge is not only a great opportunity to enjoy the view of the Bosphorus and the historical part of the city, but also to experience the atmosphere of Istanbul to the fullest. It is always crowded here, and the fishermen on the bridge create a special atmosphere, attracting the attention of both tourists and locals.
The bridge separates two important areas of the city — Old Istanbul and Galata, and provides stunning views of the city from both sides. We spent several hours here, enjoying the views and delicious dishes in the cafe under the bridge. The perfect place to stop, take pictures and just relax while watching the life of the city.
Galata Bridge has become for us not just a tourist attraction, but a place where you can feel the true atmosphere of Istanbul — a dynamic, lively and multifaceted city

The Galata Bridge, spanning the Bosphorus, is the only thing that makes it interesting for walking, after all, we do not often walk on bridges in warm countries, although of course it also serves purely utilitarian purposes, namely connects the shores of the rather large city of Istanbul, between the districts of which the Bosphorus and the Sea of Marmara stretch, rather a part the sea, but nevertheless...You can look at the pleasure boats with tourists passing under it and ferries with local residents and tourists crossing. On the lower tier of the bridge there are restaurants and cafes, quite decent, where you can try fish dishes. On the upper tier, it is quite possible to walk, go to the Galata Tower and look at the local fishermen, of whom there are many located on the bridge. I think the bridge is worth visiting by tourists, especially in the heat, it is quite pleasant to walk there, the breeze from the sea is pleasantly refreshing.

The same bridge that flashes in almost all Turkish TV series))) If you are in Istanbul, be sure to visit this bridge, and it is better to take a tour of the Bosphorus)) there are large excursion ferries for large groups, there are also small yachts)) It's very beautiful to look at everything from the water)) you can even see dolphins.. a separate aesthetic is the houses along the water))

It was my first time in Istanbul, so I went for a walk. We reached this bridge with my wife, a lot of restaurants. All menus are 98% the same, the fine print in the menu indicates 15-20% service fee. They promise seafood dishes that have just been caught, not a fact, I'm not sure. We ordered fish soup and there were mushrooms, we ordered shrimp in a pot to understand what kind of dish, and there were mushrooms and some shrimp again. The photo in the menu differs from the real one. And the body reported a couple of hours later that they were there in vain. I do not recommend trying anything under the bridge in these pseudo restaurants

One of my favorite places to walk is the sea, people, fishermen, cafes, motor ships) just stand on the bridge and look around) walk back and forth, See what the fishermen caught))) you can walk along the bottom, along the top, on one side, on the other) from both ends of the bridge and in the middle there are crossings to other sides.

Galata Bridge is one of the most striking sights of Istanbul, which connects the European and Asian parts of the city. This unique bridge, 484 meters long and 42 meters wide, offers visitors unforgettable views of the city and the Golden Horn Bay.The upper level of the bridge is designed for traffic, and the lower one is completely pedestrian. Here you can enjoy the picturesque scenery, take beautiful photos and just relax after a walk around the city. The special atmosphere of the bridge is given by local fishermen who fish right on the bridge. Here you can also try fresh seafood in one of the many restaurants.Galata Bridge is a great place to visit both day and night. In the evening, the bridge is especially beautiful due to the bright illumination.Visiting the Galata Bridge is a great way to get to know the culture and history of Istanbul, as well as enjoy the beautiful views of the city.

There are always plenty of fishermen here. Fishing in the very center of Istanbul is such a vacation. There are a lot of restaurants under the bridge, but their prices are very high, and it is worth moving away from the bridge 100 meters and the same Dorado or Sea Bass can be eaten in a restaurant three to five times cheaper. But the view from the bridge is, of course, wonderful.

The bridge is like a bridge :) Connects the main street of Istanbul with the sights. Downstairs there are many fish cafes with exorbitant prices and, according to rumors, not the most delicious assortment. Beautiful views open to the Bosphorus and mosques. You will not pass by in any way. I recommend taking a walk on foot.

An iconic place in Istanbul. You can take the tram, but it's better to walk. It doesn't matter which way. If you go from the old town (Yeminomi), you can take a fanicular up to the Galatai Tower or to the Karokei pier and get from there to the eastern part of the city. On the other hand, the Egyptian market and the old town. As you walk, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the city and a lot of fishermen

In truth, the center. The geographical and historical of Istanbul, and indeed the rest of the world, without exaggeration. It is from this point that you can walk to any landmark, be it. Strolling street, tower, historical center. It includes a bazaar and mosques. And where it is impossible to walk, there is a convenient interchange in the form of a subway tram or ferry crossing.

Well, the cons: it's not pleasant to walk along the lower part of the restaurant, they are very actively inviting you to cafes everywhere, you get tired of rejecting very quickly and you want to go through it all sooner, and of course everything looks tired, on holidays and weekends it is very crowded there)
