A memorial plaque to Nikolai Fedorovich Vatutin, General of the Army (February 12, 1943), Hero of the Soviet Union (April 15, 1965, posthumously) is installed on a building in Borisov. In 1938, he headed the headquarters of the Kiev Special Military District. In 1940, he was promoted to Lieutenant General. In early 1941, he became the first deputy Chief of the General Staff. By decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated May 6, 1965, Nikolai Fedorovich Vatutin was posthumously awarded the title Hero of the Soviet Union. Eternal memory!!!
