Gomel Drama Theater!
The architecture, design, and interior of the theater are simply magnificent!
A cozy hall, comfortable seats, courteous staff ...
Previously, plays in the theater could be watched many times (breathtaking): interesting performances, gorgeous acting.
However, recently new plays are not something that you do not want to review and revise, and sometimes it is impossible even to watch to the end. The actors are playing great, but the repertoire has not been very good lately...

My favorite and native drama theater. The architecture of the Gomel building is pleasing, there are few such buildings left. Always clean and tidy. Polite staff, making any concessions and requests. Comfortable chairs that immerse us in the era of the past. But..
every time we come less often, the repertoire of the theater is upsetting. The plots have become uninteresting, pale.
I don't want to offend people of art, but there are few places in Gomel where you can go and relax like that. I want to pay money, and sometimes not small (25 rubles for each family member), and get unforgettable pleasure and positive emotions.

In principle, I can't like a performance related to diseases, only the acting saved the situation.

There are not so many people walking. It is sad. Actors play, but they don't live, but they play, perhaps that's the way it should be, I'm not an expert, just an amateur viewer. I have been to several performances, and at each there was some kind of incident: the words were forgotten, then mixed up, then in a hurry to pronounce their remark, even the name was mixed up. The performances here are put on with a bang. But about the contingent that attends this theater, I would like to say separately. As soon as the intermission, almost the whole room goes to the bar to get drunk. And then you don't watch the play, but listen to the comments of drunk people. There is no control. Apparently, the main thing is to earn money.

We were at the theater on February 23 for the play "Heavenly Slow Walker".I liked the theater itself with the "spirit" of the Soviet era and very polite theater staff, and of course the acting and staging of the play are just great!!!!! Thank you all very much!!! We are from the city of Bryansk in Gomel for the first time a very beautiful and cozy city, respectable residents!!! I am sure we will return to this wonderful city more than once, and we will definitely go to the theater!!!

I love this place.
Large space, comfortable chairs and excellent acting.
I love the buffet, it's just classic, this time without sandwiches and cognac, but with coffee.
I don't come as often as I would like, but I still try to get out.
This time I managed to go to the "Goldfish" with my son. Of course, I didn't have enough classics, but a 4-year-old child looked at it in one breath.

The theater is my love. I love the chic atmosphere inside. Each production is a masterpiece. For productions that have been going on for a long time, you can safely take a ticket just before visiting the theater. The only downside is that there is one place on the balcony where you can sit, but the knees do not fit there in any way, and I do not understand why they sell tickets to this place if physiologically the child will not fit there either

I recently visited my favorite theater in Gomel again. Ticket prices have been very reduced...very affordable, accessible to everyone
But inside everything is very beautifully maintained. Impressive chandeliers. It's nice to be there again.
The buffet works as always, you can pay in cash and by card. There are treats for both adults and children, there are sweets.
It is pleasant to watch performances both in the stalls (but it is better to take tickets to the front rows, after 9 the sound is not very good), and from the balcony (everything is visible, audible and visible perfectly)
The actors' acting is amazing...you live through what is happening on stage as if everything is happening live. I especially liked the performances with the actors of the old cast! Thank you for your work!!!

In the current 2023, the 85th theatrical season continues in the Gomel Drama Theater. and it's easy to understand that all the locals, both otzovists and ordinary residents, have known him since childhood.
The building with palace-type columns is located in the very-very-very center of the city. The auditorium is not to say that it is a large, compact hall, includes a parterre and a balcony with a total number of seats of about 500 (more precisely, if I'm not mistaken, 492). The view and view of the stage are good from any point of it.
Everything that you can see with your own eyes or touch with your hands, in the main theater of the city in excellent condition (CULTURE!)
Performances with the participation of visiting artists from Moscow and St. Petersburg arouse lively interest, and tickets for such performances should be purchased in advance, grab them before they run out (the number of seats in the hall is not so large). Local actors are also, let's say, not well-sewn, however, there are not many interesting productions implemented by the staff of the theater itself (of those that I happened to observe).

I give a deuce to the organizers of the touring performances and the director of the Gomel Regional Theater for the fact that the aisles to the auditorium and side passages, including, are filled with side chairs. Therefore, it was difficult for people to leave the hall. And what happens if there is an emergency? There will be a stampede and panic. Why do the fire services allow this? People on dummy chairs save their money, and others, because of this, can lose their health and life itself. That's what angered me the most. Carelessness and arrogance that nothing will happen. I hope that the management will take note of the fact of violation of fire safety.

The beautiful theater is similar to any other regional theater in Russia, but unlike the Bryansk theater, cognac is still sold in the buffet. This is a PLUS.
