I recommend you to visit! I liked the museum. Very rich in artifacts, exhibits and information support. There is a lot of military equipment in the backyard. Souvenirs can be purchased inside. The staff is very polite and friendly. As it turned out, after we left the museum, we entered it under closure, but the staff did not even say a word to us that they were closing soon, they sold tickets without any problems and after the end of working hours patiently waited for another 30 minutes until we finished the inspection. We are the grandchildren of the Winners of the Great Patriotic War. We are lucky to keep the memory of those events firsthand. This museum perfectly refreshes, complements this memory and plunges into history. Therefore, it is obligatory for the younger generation to visit! Parents, take your children, explain to them, tell them so that it is passed down from generation to generation! As long as we remember, the feat of our people and our Winners will live forever!

The most interesting museum. I am very pleased with the availability of entrance tickets and the scale of the exhibition composition. I really liked the courtyard with a huge number of military and other equipment. It was especially pleasant when the staff invited me to sit in the cockpit of the aircraft, when they saw my interest and careful attitude to the exhibits

A super museum! I recommend spending money on an excursion where they will tell you about military affairs on the territory of Belarus from ancient times to our time. An interesting exposition, there are unique exhibits. In the courtyard there are exhibits of military equipment from the famous T-34, to airplanes and helicopters!

I really liked the museum and this one and the neighboring and related to it - the Museum of criminology - the museums are small and cozy, there are many interesting exhibits - everything is described in detail in other reviews. But I have a big question - why is it so difficult to see with a guided tour? It's a day off, there were several people who wanted to go on an excursion with me (except me) - but they called somewhere and refused ... the museum doesn't need money? Everything is so good and excellent financing? It was possible to unite people and take 2 times the amount! When I tried to ask questions to the female girls in the hall, they could not answer 🤷♀️ I really hope that the management will add guides and competent staff to the military museum and the Museum of criminology!

It's not a big museum, but it's an interesting one. A pleasant guide who tells interesting stories and answers questions. The museum touches on different eras. Interesting exhibits. In the courtyard there is military equipment, guns, tanks, an airplane, helicopters and even a whole locomotive with wagons. You can even sit in one of the helicopters.
(But shhh, it's a mystery))

При отсутствии столичного блеска и размаха областной Музей Военной Славы находится на очень приличном уровне, для своего масштаба нужные функции выполняет. Небольшой по площади залов, каких здесь 8, он отмечается аккуратным состоянием, подчёркнуто бережным хранением исторических экспонатов, большинство из которых находится под стеклом. А военная техника - танки, САУ, пушки, вертолёты, самолёты, паровоз с санитарным вагоном - во дворе под открытым небом. При этом, как легко заметить посетителям, атмосферные осадки основной группе техники не вредят, а вот автомобилям и трактору из маленького дворика навес не помешал бы.
В одном шкафу поместили генеральские мундиры П.И. Батова и А.В. Горбатова - получилось, что интересно, в рифму. Своё законно центральное место занимают экспонаты, связанные с Великой Отечественной, поэтому большое внимание маршалам Костантинычам - Рокоссовскому и Жукову, командовавшим в разные периоды Первым Белорусским фронтом. На одном из фотокадров, вставленных в мой отзыв, можно увидеть в стеклянном кубе рубашку из военной формы Рокоссовского (несложно догадаться, что у маршала за 4 года ВОВ были и другие рубашки, которые можно найти ещё в каком-нибудь музее).
Залы с 3-го по 6-й посвящены событиям Великой Отечественной (Зал 4 - "Оккупационный режим на Гомельщине (1941-1944 гг)", Зал 5 - "Партизанское и подпольное движение, освобождение Гомельщины", Зал 6 - "Победа - одна на всех"), а первые два, так же, как 7-й и 8-й, рассказывают о ратных делах из других периодов истории (Зал 1 - "Военная история края с древнейших времён до конца ХIХ века", Зал 8 - "Воины-интернационалисты").
Так что, музеец НЕ СЛАБ, скорее даже силён!

Гомеля обязателен! Приветливый персонал. Музей размещен на двух этажах, также при музее имеется дворик где размещена военная техника (поезд, танки, самолёты и т.д)

A gorgeous museum! I definitely recommend you to visit! Despite the small territory, there are a lot of unique exhibits! The staff is very friendly, the price is reasonable, there are discounts for certain social groups of the population. Both adults and children liked it! A visit to this museum should, in my opinion, be included in the mandatory program along with the palace!

Not a museum, but the devil knows what. As if it is only necessary to stuff all kinds of weapons and military equipment, and to hang photos of ALL the officers of the Gomel region, that's the museum of "military glory.
Historical references are sometimes questionable (,,700 thousand Belarusians, or 1/3 of the country's population died during the Northern War"???), and, unfortunately, the museum staff does not know a drop of the information that is presented in their hall. They are dissuaded by the fact that they are only caretakers, and they have no right to answer questions. They also don't want to call a researcher. To answer the questions you are interested in, you need to buy an excursion.

Экскурсия очень понравилась, спасибо Роберту-экскурсоводу. Экспанатов оружия всех времен огромное количество. Большое внимание к деталям, понравился зал, посвящённый Афганистану и зал Первой мировой войны. Много военной техники во внутреннем дворике музея, что очень понравиться детям младшего школьного возраста. Рекомендую всем к посещению обязательно.

Классный музей. Посещала в 2022 году, очень понравились экспонаты как внутри , так и на открытой площадке. Экспонатов очень много, достойная коллекция для областного музея. Вежливый персонал, цена билета до смешного маленькая!

Была в музее с группой иностранных студентов, экскурсия была скучной не только для них, но и для меня. Не хватило профессионализма. Хотя, надо отдать должное, экспонатов в музее очень много, посмотреть есть на что

Очень хороший музей. Богатая экспозиция. Представлены разделы от старины до войны в Афганистане. Во дворе дети могут полазить по военной технике. Есть самолет, паровоз с вазонами и бронетехника.
