One of the most picturesque places in the city of 15 million people. It is convenient to walk from the embankment through the park to the metro or central attractions.
We love parrots and incredibly large trees.
The reservoir was also opened for free.
Recently, there have been stalls with good Turkish coffee.
In the heat, it's nice to hide in the shade of the trees. Fountains are sometimes turned on.
Autumn is a special couple.
There is a fantastic tulip exhibition in spring. After all, according to legend, the Dutch tulip festivals were popular and all the color delivery was carried out from Turkey.
Incredible flower beds.
In winter, there are quiet streets.
There is also Wi-Fi (from foreign Sim cards)
The only disadvantage for the elderly is that the hill might confuse the slope. But Istanbul is all like that

A wonderful, beautiful, cozy park right in the center of Istanbul, close to the main attractions of this beautiful city. It is very pleasant to walk in the park and eat a bagel. Gulhane or Rose Park
One of the most beautiful and oldest parks in Istanbul, rising to the outer gardens of the Sultan's Topkapi Palace. The park is located in the European part of the city near the Hagia Sophia Mosque.
In the northern part of the park there is an 18-meter Gothic column, next to the remains of St. Paul's orphanage.
The park is adjacent to the museum town — the Archaeological Museum, the Museum of the History of Islamic Science. A globe in a transparent glass cube is installed at the main entrance.
The territory of the park is huge: there are recreation areas (benches, a cafe with delicious coffee, a toilet), gazebos, fountains.
I advise you to visit, you will not regret it.

A beautiful park. Lots of greenery, ancient trees, flowers. There are many benches, there is a cafe to have a snack or drink tea, coffee or soft drinks. Not so much with lavabo. A beautiful park, most of all impressions of parrots, it was unexpected and amazing to meet them in the wild. Tall trees, fresh air. The chirping of birds in the morning is just a relaxation for the ears. We were on April 26th - the tulips in this park had already faded, there were only a couple of flower beds. There is a beautiful view of the strait at the end of the park. In the park itself there is a social cafe with reasonable prices and European cuisine, and dessert San Sebastian.

We really love this place, it has its own atmosphere. It doesn't matter if it's a hot or cool day, as long as it doesn't rain (there's practically no place to hide here). Although the rainy weather in Gulkhan has its own charm)
Well-maintained, guarded, especially beautiful in early April, tulips bloom everywhere. There are many paths along which it is pleasant to walk and benches on which it is pleasant to relax after walking around the historical center. Fresh simits are always sold at the entrance, so you won't get hungry.

A small cistern, which is located on the territory of the park, is mandatory to visit. Admission is free.
This is for those who want to decide whether it is worth paying and going to look at her larger companion the Basilica cistern or not. We looked at it and decided that a small one was enough for us.

A gorgeous park! We were with a child in April 2024. The park territory is very well maintained. There were so many tulips and such a variety of varieties that by the time I started taking pictures at the entrance to the park, I didn't have the energy by the middle). A wonderful park!
A huge well-maintained territory, with a large number of benches, gazebos, walking paths. You can relax, go jogging, admire the sea, and go down to an old abandoned Cistern
We were at the beginning of spring, we found the flowering of daffodils, hyacinths and tulips.
The main gate opens onto the Bosphorus embankment, you will need to walk a little across the road. But it's worth it, the views are just amazing.

Oh! The park is blooming every year. There are more benches, toilets, food, lots of flowers, lawns, etc.
At the exit from the park from the other end you will find yourself in a wonderful cafe on the embankment!
You did not go yourself, but everyone recommends it.
Admission is free.

There is a place to hide from the hot Istanbul sun - in Gulhane Park. There are many benches under the huge trees, there is always an empty place. There is an interesting fountain in the form of a book, there is (so far free) an underground cistern with art objects, there is a cafe. In the evening there is a beautiful illumination on the trees. They say there is an exhibition of tulips here in the spring. I don't know. I wasn't there in the spring. It was in the summer, we lived nearby, so we were in the park almost every day.

The oldest monument left from the time of the Roman Empire in the park. The column Is Ready. The height is 18.5m of a single piece of Proconesian marble. On top there was an eagle emblem in the Corinthian style, and on the pedestal there was a sculpture of the Greek goddess of luck, which has not survived to the present day. A huge park in the very center of Istanbul, very beautiful, huge tall trees create shade in the heat. Locals like to relax here, come on weekends and have picnics, lay out blankets and lie right on the grass. However, after such a weekend, there is a lot of garbage in the early morning, but then the cleaners come to work and slowly clean everything up. We happened to arrive early in the morning, and while we were waiting to check into the hotel, we sat in the park for several hours. There are toilets in the park, they work from 8-00. There are many seals in the park, there are stray dogs, their visitors feed them, and there are also many birds, including wild green parrots, pigeons, crows, and sparrows. There are many benches where you can sit down and relax. There are monuments, fountains, and beautiful flower beds. There are also a lot of people, a lot, just like in Istanbul itself.

A pleasant park for walking. Nearby there are local attractions within walking distance. There is a lot of greenery, and in April you can get to the tulip bloom.
