Before this incident, I stayed at Hillary for the last time a few years ago. It is noted that it was a little better then.
Pros: near the plant, clean linen, the presence of a cafe with a good kitchen, more or less sane staff.
Cons: lack of hot water (drained for half an hour, no changes), ancient TV with three channels even in the suite, lack of a shoe spoon and a brush. Breakfast seems to be included, but for 500 tenge you can order one sandwich. A paradox.
The request to the administration is to correct these shortcomings, it is not difficult.

A very bad hotel.
The main disadvantage is the staff, no customer orientation, they allow themselves to raise their voice to the client, be rude, mislead.
The hotel is located in an industrial area, there are no shops within walking distance, the nearest one is 30 minutes on foot, public transport is extremely rare. On the ground floor there is a good dining room that is open until 17:00, for breakfast from the hotel they give a coupon for 500 tenge, but there is not enough for a full breakfast.
The room is cleaned every day if you leave the keys at the reception, if you take them with you, there will be no cleaning, the keys are the only ones, they do not talk about this when checking in.
The countdown of the day starts from the time at which you checked in, if you checked in at 8 a.m., then at 8 a.m. be kind and check out, you want to stay for another hour, pay for the whole day, well, the administrators also do not warn about this when checking in, despite the fact that payment was made for all accommodation at once, they do not specify and about what time the eviction is planned.
I lived in a suite, the room is large, but everything is very outdated, soap accessories are not updated every day, shampoo was not available at all.
There is a large selection of hotels in the city, I advise you to consider something else.

The hotel is normal. The rooms are large, clean, the furniture is good, the price tag is excellent for these conditions - the standard is 11.000tons. The kitchen-dining room is hearty and neat.
The location is great for those who came to the plant, but you can't open the window - it stinks, the nearest store is 30 minutes on foot.
The water from the tap is rusty, drained for 30 minutes.
For 4 days, the room has never been cleaned.
Channels on TV are just tin, what's the problem with connecting normal channels???
Price-Quality 4, but with bold ---.

The hotel itself is located away from residential buildings (a little less than 1 km), but I was on a business trip to Arcelor Mittal Temirtau (2 weeks in July 2023) and here it is less than 5 minutes to walk to the checkpoint. The staff is polite, the rooms are cleaned regularly. The light bulb burned out and was immediately replaced. Conditioner. The disadvantage is there is no iron. If you want, then your clothes will be ironed (some third-party company under the Contract). The shirts were ironed well, and the trousers were "off the hook." Downstairs there is a dining room (cafe). Breakfast for 500 tenge is included in the room rate. If you pay more, you pay extra. Lunch and dinner can be ordered at breakfast. It's about 2 km to the supermarket (you can take the bus, but I try to walk). The cost of the room is 11,500 tenge per day. Count the day from the time of arrival + 24 hours. I stopped by at 5 p.m. and stayed until 5 p.m. the next day. I was satisfied with everything.
