Khinkalnaya is an institution that promises to immerse you in the atmosphere of traditional Georgian hospitality, and in general it copes with this task. The interior is designed in a classic style, using wooden elements and warm shades, which creates a sense of comfort and homely atmosphere. However, in some places, the design seems a little outdated and needs to be updated to meet modern design standards.
The menu impresses with a variety of traditional Georgian dishes, among which khinkali is, of course, central. These meat dumplings with thin dough and juicy filling are the hallmark of the establishment. The taste of most dishes is excellent, although there are cases when the dough turns out to be a little harsh and the filling is too salty. The chef should pay more attention to quality control.
The service in the khinkalnaya is at a good level. The staff is polite and tries to please every guest, but the speed of serving dishes sometimes leaves much to be desired, especially during rush hours. This may cause some frustration for visitors who expect a quick service.
The prices in the establishment correspond to the average level, although some items may seem too high, especially if you take into account the modest portions. Nevertheless, considering the use of high-quality ingredients and the authenticity of the recipes, the cost of the dishes is quite reasonable.
As a result, khinkalnaya is a place that deserves the attention of fans of Georgian cuisine. Despite some drawbacks, it retains its uniqueness and atmosphere, making it attractive for regular visits.
