Room for Improvement at Jai Hind Indian Restaurant, Moscow
I visited Jai Hind Indian Restaurant in Moscow with high hopes, but my experience was a mixed bag. The atmosphere and service were commendable, with friendly staff and a cozy ambiance.
However, the food was a letdown. The naan bread was uncomfortably hard, and the Dal Makhani was burnt and overly salty (twice the normal level!). The recipe seemed outdated, and the dish lacked depth. The Palak Paneer was average at best, failing to impress compared to even Indian street food.
The prices were slightly higher than expected, considering the quality and quantity of food.
Positives:
- Staff behavior: friendly and attentive
- Atmosphere: cozy and inviting
- Service: prompt and efficient
Areas for improvement:
- Naan bread: needs to be softer and fresher
- Dal Makhani: revisit the recipe, reduce salt, and ensure it's cooked to perfection
- Palak Paneer: enhance the flavor and texture to match Indian street food standards
- Pricing: consider adjusting prices according to quality and quantity
Jai Hind has potential, but needs to work on its culinary offerings to match its excellent service and atmosphere.

Incredible indian food. My highlights were Dosa with cheese, indian Tikka masala and
Everything is filled with flavour and spices. Spice is adjusted to any preferred level.
Staff is amazing. Special thanks to our waiter Musharraf. Food was hot and served in order.
