One of the first symbols that comes to mind when we say Kadıköy. I didn't know if the nonsense of having a photo taken with a child sitting on it during the holiday alone was a custom. Its history is as follows:
it is the Alsa-Loren region, which could not be shared between France and Germany in the 1800s, is the reason for Dec. This small but important region has been constantly changing hands between the French and Germans over the years. Dec. it was built in Paris in the 1860s to symbolize the war in which the French defeated the Germans in this region. It is the work of the sculptor Isidore Bonheure. With his anger and greatness, he symbolizes the power of the French, but it did not last long, Alsace-Loren was retaken by German general Bismarck at the Battle of Sedan in 1870. The 'power of the French' also goes to Germany.

Due to their friendship, Wilhelm gave it to the Union and Progress Society in 1917, and the Union and Progress Society to Enver Pasha. The statue is placed in the garden of Enver Pasha's palace. 1. the reason why this statue was created in 1800 was the territory of Alsace and Lorraine, which could not be divided between France and Germany. This small but important region has been constantly changing hands between the French and the Germans for many years. The sculpture was built in Paris in 1864 by the French animalist sculptor Isidore Jules Bonheur to symbolize the victory won by France over Germany in the long-term war for this territory. It represents all the strength of the French with their anger and power. But the sculpture did not last long. In 1870, Bismarck's army recaptured the province, and the statue moved to the German capital as a trophy.
In Germany, the bull stayed for a short time. 40 years later, the German Emperor Wilhelm II presented the statue to Enver Pasha. So the statue turns out to be in Istanbul, originally it stood in the garden of the general's palace. After the defeat of the coalition in World War I, Enver Pasha flees abroad, and the statue is forgotten. 1953 the Hilton Hotel is being built, and the statue is moved to the hotel garden. The statue repeatedly changed its place (Harbiye, Taksim, Besiktas), until finally, in 1969, it was put in Kadikey. Initially, it stood in front of the current Kadıköy administration building (Kadıköy Belediyesi Meclis Binası, formerly. Iskele de Şehremaneti Binası), and in 1976 (according to other sources in 1987) took its present place on Altıyol Square.
