Despite the fact that the monument is in poor condition, it is very pleasant to the eye, like a toy.

It was built back in 1560-1570 as a Protestant church by one of the first owners of the Kukhtichi estate, Matei Kovechinsky. The building was built small, apparently designed only for the residents of the estate. In addition to holding divine services, the building was supposed to serve as a shelter in case of need – the walls of the gathering reached a thickness of one and a half meters.

I liked this architectural monument, it is quite well preserved. It's a pity that you can't get inside. But this is most likely for security reasons, since the surrounding buildings are being destroyed before our eyes...

The 16th-century cathedral, built next to the Zavisha estate in Kuhtichi, is a rare architectural monument of the Renaissance period in Belarus. Built in the 1570s, the temple has changed its purpose more than once - from a Protestant church and a church to a power plant during the Soviet period. Today the architectural monument is abandoned. In order to somehow protect the building, the volunteers built a roof. And once the Calvin gathering in the village of Pervomaisk was one of the most important centers of the Protestant movement in Belarus. It was here that the Bible of Simon Budny, an educator and philosopher, an ardent supporter of humanistic ideas and the democratization of the church, was reprinted in 1572. However, just a century later, when the fashion for faith changed, the new owners of the Kuhtich quickly changed the purpose of the temple. In the XVII century, the Calvin Collection served as a Catholic church, and a little later it became a chapel-tomb of the Zavisha family. Unfortunately, the interior of the temple was completely destroyed: from 1938 to 1968, a power plant was equipped in the walls of the temple. The former manor of Zavishey is located nearby. Here you can also see two dilapidated outbuildings from the palace and several outbuildings, a mill and a stable.

The building is in good condition, it is not entirely clear what will happen to the graves that are there, because there is a notice of sale at the entrance (

It's interesting, but everything is abandoned, you can't get inside. So authentic, so there is a state farm around the cathedral of the 16th century. Heh. There is an exhibition of 5 tractors nearby, probably the pride of the state farm.

It's a very beautiful building. It is located on the territory of the lyceum. The vehicle must be left in front of the gate and then on foot.

The Calvinist Cathedral . One of the three preserved in Belarus. Defensive type. With a rich and sad story. It is being destroyed. There's a lock on the door.
