A landmark historical building in Antalya. Everything is clean, beautiful, there are staff - free entrance, there is a toilet. There is a small souvenir market and a supermarket nearby.

The minaret has an ancient history. Once upon a time there was a temple erected by the Romans, which was later turned into a Byzantine basilica.
The mosque appeared here at the turn of the XV-XVI centuries.
At the end of the XIX century, as a result of a lightning strike (one of the versions), a fire occurred that destroyed the wooden dome of the building. Therefore, the name of the building is translated as "Truncated minaret".

A beautiful place, a historical building, quite large-scale. But it didn't work out to get close, it was fenced off. I had to take pictures from afar. There are small colored houses nearby, it looks quite interesting.

There's not much to look at. You just need to feel the atmosphere of the depths of centuries. To realize the number of human feet that have walked on the stone floor and the number of human hands that have created a truly indestructible structure.
There is a man at the entrance. He is very educated and speaks excellent Russian.

Another historical minaret. It doesn't impress me, but it's still a popular place. Yes, and a direct road leads to it through the old city from Hadrian's gate and further to the tower.

Everything has been rebuilt and restored here: both the minaret and the mosque. The foundations and fragments of a Roman temple are partly under glass, partly on the street. All capitals, friezes, cornices are installed in their places, small pieces are exposed under glass. Words cannot describe it - it must be seen. Everything is done just super!

September 2022 the minaret is in operation. Admission is free for tourists, the main thing is to take off your shoes and put on a headscarf. A great opportunity to touch the history. The ancient surviving fragments of the temple were used during the restoration and are set in their places.
