Khan Shatyr visited Astana – an impressive building of the city, especially from the outside. I decided that it was time to join the futuristic design, and at the same time see what you can buy and how to spend time in this famous shopping and entertainment center.
Positive:
- Magnificent architectural design. The building itself is already a landmark. It's nice to walk around such places.
- A huge selection of stores: from luxury brands to more affordable options, everyone will find something to their liking.
- Variety of entertainment: cinemas, play areas.
- Excellent restaurants and cafes: you can find cuisine for every taste, from traditional Kazakh to international.
- A great relaxation area: comfortable areas with seats and green corners allow you to take a break after shopping.
Minuses:
- Prices in some stores bite. You should be prepared for the fact that you will have to pay for the suite.
- Sometimes it can be too crowded, especially on weekends and holidays.
- Difficulties with navigation. Due to the size and unusual layout of the shopping center, you can easily get lost. But on the other hand, it's a great adventure and you can meet cute Kazakh girls)

Khan Shatyr in Astana is not just a shopping mall, but a real city within a city!
From the first step inside, it takes your breath away — a huge bright tent with palm trees, fountains and hundreds of shops. There is everything here: from luxury boutiques to democratic brands, from cozy cafes to chic restaurants. It's especially cool that even in the bitter cold, the temperature inside is summer — you can wear a T-shirt!
Be sure to visit the water park with a real beach and waves — it feels like you've been transported to the sea. There are also cinemas, playgrounds and just a lot of space for walking.
What I liked the most:
- unreal architecture (especially beautiful in the evening with lighting)
- perfect cleanliness and order
- lots of places to take photos
- friendly staff
The only negative is that it's too big, and your legs get tired :) But it's worth it! If you are in Astana, you should definitely come here, even if you do not plan to buy anything. 10 out of 10!

Recently, visiting Khan Shatyr shopping center has stopped bringing the same feeling of coziness and comfort. The interiors look outdated, and the overall atmosphere no longer corresponds to the status of one of the main shopping and entertainment centers of the city.
Perhaps it's time to think about renovation — refresh the design, improve the zoning and create a warmer and more attractive environment for guests. It is equally important to invite a professional cleaning company that can ensure a really high level of cleanliness and order.
