The former Bernardine church and monastery was built in the first half of the 17th century. Also on Cyril and Methodius St. (opposite the Bernardine complex) in the forms of Baroque architecture. In addition to residential buildings, the monastery buildings included a refectory, a school, a hospital, and a shopping mall (behind the apse of the temple). The temple is three-nave, the middle nave with a faceted and highly elongated apse is much higher than the others and is covered with cross vaults. The decoration of the main facade is represented by a pediment — crest of a curved outline, sculptural treatment of the entrance portal, vertical blades (the monument was restored in 1983). The end of the monastery building, adjacent to the church, also has a plastic treatment of the wall, as a result of which a semblance of a ceremonial courtyard was created in front of the entrance to the church, as if inviting to linger in front of the architectural monument

Three in one, the town hall-cathedral and church, an ideal place in the upper town for evening walks!👍

The archive is located in the former Church of St. Joseph. It was built in 1652. The church was once part of a large Bernardine monastery. The facade has been well restored this year.
