I would like to express my gratitude to the staff of the Lida Castle, especially the guide Lyudmila, for conducting an exciting quest game for children, which I managed to attend with my child. It was very informative. The guys got acquainted with the Lida Castle in an accessible way. A nice bonus is the book, which the children filled out by completing various tasks on the floors of the towers, and in the end they took it with them as a gift. They will be able to retrace Gediminas steps. My child was satisfied and was happy to talk about his trip at home. Thank you so much!

The building with a rich and interesting history is an architectural monument and a business card of Lida. It is located within walking distance from the railway and bus stations. Entrance to the territory is paid. In the museum located inside the castle, you can get acquainted with the history of its foundation and construction, as well as the personalities involved. There are thematic expositions in the two towers of the castle, where you can also view household items, paintings and photographs from different years, weapons and armor of knights and much more. The towers are connected by a passage in the upper part of the castle fortress wall, from the height of which you can see the surrounding urban surroundings. In addition, there is a restaurant and an exhibition of weapons on the territory inside the castle (entrance to it is for a fee). There is also a storage room inside at the entrance to the museum, where you can leave things you don't need when visiting. A public toilet and souvenir shops are located outside the castle - this should be taken into account when visiting the museum. In general, it is definitely worth visiting this rather interesting and picturesque place, especially when spectacular events are held - reconstructions of knight fights, etc. (there is even a grandstand with seats for spectators inside).

There are no comments at all. There are a lot of tourists, concerts, fire shows, discos are held on holidays. However, I would like to see jousting tournaments (it was interesting).Very good cuisine in the "Karchma" on the territory of the fortress. The loopholes offer excellent views of the city. Super, in short. And if you also listen to the guide, then it's an incomparable pleasure.

It's a good place for reenactors and role-players, but in my opinion it has a small historical value. There is little left of the real castle, 99'/, new ones including walls and towers, there are almost no real historical exhibits, everything including engravings was made +- in the 2000s. It's a good place to be nostalgic about the Grand Duchy of Lithuania or the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Unfortunately, it has so much to do with Belarusians. Well, like a slave-owning estate to the huts of those who collected reeds. And it's funny, and there's a stadium for tournaments and a cafe.

The road from Vileika (Minsk region) It took two hours to get to Lida by car. This highway is almost always free, the road is good.
Along the way, you can admire wild animals walking in the field (roe deer, bison).
There are enough parking spaces near the castle, it was quite free (in the courtyard). Next to the castle there is a picturesque pond, a cafe, a paid toilet (the territory is planless/clean, tidy/), souvenir shops work near the entrance. The ticket office is located in the courtyard. For schoolchildren, students, pensioners and those who have any benefits or discounts (do not forget your ID cards).
There are several stickers with QR codes in each room. Click on the link and the audio guide tells you a lot of interesting information. Guided tours are available.
I recommend it to the whole family!

The castle is very large, beautiful, ancient, it was authentic in 1320, but then it was destroyed, and now it has been restored, and made even more gorgeous and beautiful. You can also book a tour there. Everything cost us 42 rubles, not expensive as for me, there are 3 floors on different topics, there is even a royal toilet. There is a cafe next to the castle, where we ordered salads, cream spinach soup, hodgepodge, burgers with chicken and beef and drink pepsi and myriad, the waitress is very nice, kind, listened to us and correctly wrote down the order and wished us a pleasant appetite, everything is fine, there is also a bottle of water, it tastes good it's kind of metal, but it's washed and thirst is the most important thing, there is also a paid toilet, the office is not broken, the watchman is not rude. We took a city guide. We walked around the castle, told a lot of interesting things from the outside. We entered the castle on our own without a guide. The exposure is weak. The first stone castle on the territory of Belarus, founded in the 14th century, is the main attraction of the city of Lida. It has been restored, the old masonry has been preserved in places. In the 2 towers available for inspection, there are now museum expositions telling about the history of the creation of the castle and fortifications, the history of the USSR and Belarus. There is a lot of interesting information for those who are interested in history. You can walk along the walls of the castle. If we compare it with the advertised castles in Mir and Nesvizh, then the Lida Castle loses to these two in terms of entertainment. It is better to visit the castle with a guide, it will be more informative. There is a rather cozy cafe inside the castle courtyard, where it is nice to have a snack and relax.

Super city, super castle! We arrived for the first time at the end of October with our family, ordered a sightseeing tour from Veronica, but did not have time to walk inside the castle. I returned to the company of friends a month later, also a sightseeing tour, we looked at the castle inside! Great expositions, dressed up in armor and stuff! I really liked the tavern! They taught me how to drink tinctures with a magic toast! We will definitely come again!

Great respect for the work invested in the restoration of the castle, but, unfortunately, there is nothing to see in the castle. Everything is new, a fake fireplace, a throne room with a "European renovation" in the form of modern curtains, "phenomena" on the table, everything seemed inappropriate and boring to me. There is a little bit of masonry from the present, completed with modern bricks. I liked the torture room and was impressed by the costume of the plague doctor. But not the castle.

We visited the city of Lida this year. I had the most pleasant impressions of the city, the infrastructure and the visit to the Lida Castle. I definitely recommend it to everyone. The castle has been restored, everything is very informative. It's a pity we didn't make it to the jousting tournament. The guests are treated with reverence, they try to satisfy all desires and requests to the maximum. I had just a situation that, at first glance, was insoluble, but help came in the person of the director of the castle, Anna Todeushevna. I quickly sorted everything out, decided, and helped. I consider her the Guardian Angel of this place. A low bow to her. And what a Kumpyak tavern on the castle grounds. Just keep in mind that it works from Friday to Sunday. The cuisine, the serving, the variety of dishes and drinks are beyond praise, the gastronomic delight. Yes, it's not exactly cheap, but it's a piece institution. Stop, have lunch, among the centuries-old walls of the castle, think about the obscenity of life, raise a cup to the founder of the castle Gedemin and just have a good time.
