We had a wonderful engagement meal here while in Vitebsk. The Tom Yum Thai soup was fantastic for the location. Well seasoned and spicy. The green curry had plenty of flavor with a hint of coconut. The fried bananas were great as were the copious amounts of drinks we had.
The chocolate and orange hookah was tasty (and the staff was friendly and forgiving after not having smoked in a very long time).

I really liked the staff! The nicest girl in a popular language (for the layman) explained the specifics of Thai dishes, the specifics of the pungency and our preferences in this important moment. What else was very impressive was the recommendation to share 1 serving for two!!! So we were able to try more dishes and not overeat! I liked the exotic dishes, with a minimal degree of spiciness! Location in the center! Super! We were lucky, we parked under the window. For a change, it's really cool!

Until tonight (03/15/2025), I was so pleased with the institution that I simply recommended all my friends and acquaintances to go there. But! That was exactly until tonight! I came with my company to celebrate a small holiday. There were a lot of incomprehensible moments for us, but I will focus on the main thing, and as unpleasant as possible, which contributed to the deterioration of our evening!
1) it was very difficult to decide on the food, because some items on the menu were, as we were told, on the "stop list". Dear friends, are you serious? Day off, Saturday, evening... and you can't give the visitors what you offer? In our opinion, this is simply absurd for an institution that is located in such a place and is popular among the residents of the city!
2) This point deserves special attention. I had a feeling that today I visited not my favorite Manao, but the Sobranie cafe-club (anyone who remembers this "wonderful" institution will understand what we are talking about now). The incident occurred due to the fact that some (I don't want to offend them) 2 pretty drunk young ladies could not decide in which places and from which of the owners they needed to "lick" (I'm telling everything verbatim, as it was said there). Moreover, this discussion was so emotional and loud that it was impossible to pay attention to it. Judging by the discussions of the "witnesses" of this incident like us, the 2 directors of this institution could not resolve the issues with their "companions", and the companions decided to resolve the issue among themselves. Moreover, so violently and emotionally that it even became a little awkward. Couldn't it have been done somewhere else? Not in front of the whole room? It's a disgrace! I was very ashamed to look into the eyes of my friends, whom I invited to spend the evening! Not only did the directors of this institution not contribute in any way to resolving this conflict, which began because of them, they also did not bother to apologize to the guests for ruining the evening! And exactly before we sat down at the table, we had to observe such a picture as at one of the tables, which is located right next to the entrance, one of the directors, not shy of the presence of other people, I apologize for being blunt, is sucking (just like it looked from the outside), with one of the instigators of this conflict. Are you guys serious? At least it's not a village club to allow that. Especially to the director of this institution.
But we must pay tribute to the staff of the institution, who tried to smooth out the whole situation by doing everything they could to end this outrage faster, and we continued our vacation. Apologies were made only by ordinary employees, but not by the administration of the institution.
Bottom line: the evening was ruined as much as possible. I'm ashamed in front of my friends, even though I'm not guilty of anything in front of them. I think the next time I choose a vacation destination with a company, Manao will definitely not be considered as a candidate.
I'm sorry for such a long review, but they deserve just such a rating today!

We visited this institution based on reviews on the Internet. Everything is beautiful in the photos, but in reality it is an expectation/reality. The hall is very dark, damp and cold (it was in the evening). The interior is stylish (but there was not enough light), there are enough seats. The waitress greeted us kindly, but it took her a long time to figure out if there were any tables available (the place was half empty!).
We ordered 2 servings of Tom yam with shrimp, beef tartare. The average waiting time is 25-30 minutes. I've tried Tom-yams with my husband a lot, but I haven't eaten anything like this yet. It's not even tom yam, but tomato-flavored water with 3 shrimps, sour, slightly warm. The rice that came in addition to the dish was crispy and crunchy on the teeth. The tar-tar pleased me, it was delicious, cool, tender meat, and the taste of beef was well felt.
Many people come there for a hookah, since we don't smoke, we couldn't appreciate it. But the hookah smell is clearly felt in the establishment, there is smog.

The atmosphere is not cozy at all.
It's very cold in the establishment, they put me under condé.
I came, no one met me to escort me to the place. I went to the bar to find out where to go. It took a while, but they pointed to the farthest table for me to go. After I sat down, the waiter came up only 10 minutes later to offer the menu. I immediately asked the hookah master, who came up only 5 minutes after my request. They never took my order, after waiting for 5 minutes, I couldn't stand it and asked them to come over to take the order. We ordered paddy with chicken (aldente pasta, dry chicken, a stick of onion, and a bunch of butter)"It's disgusting." Cappuccino - no comment. Caesar is terrible. Don't start a hookah with more. The waitress girl is not very polite. The hookah master seemed to be a good guy, he was interested and offered options + he was polite.

Our friend did not recommend this place for a long time, but the young man and I still took a chance. The first person to greet us was a pleasant and bright interior. Then the charming smile of the waiter Daria (Dasha, you are a miracle how good you are). The menu is interesting, in general, there is something to choose for different tastes and different moods. Ah! Another important point! Wonderful coffee! Just great. Monsieur the bartender, I take off my hat to you, toss it up and shout "hurrah" three times.
Tartare is cool, we just love serving with fries. A hearty breakfast with roast beef is a cannon, really hearty. I was glad that they even asked for a roast for breakfast. Pshenka was a separate emotion for me, because she literally plunged me into childhood.

As for me, it's a long time for these dishes. The coffee arrived 5 minutes after the order, and by the time everything else and dessert arrived, it was already cold. In general, waiting an hour in order to eat in 15 minutes is not the most pleasant pleasure. Plus, I want to add that in winter you need to sit as far away from the door as possible, preferably in the farthest corner — it's cold.

I've been wanting to write a review on this place for a long time. Probably my favorite place in the city among places of this format. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the dishes are prepared quite quickly.
The food is always delicious, the staff is very friendly. Not the lowest prices, but honestly, they match the quality. In general, I strongly advise fans of Asian cuisine!!
P.S. I have never ordered delivery, so the review is exclusively about the place itself and the food in the hall, and not for takeaway.

The reviews about this institution surprisingly contradict the reality that I experienced there. We had booked a table in advance, but when we arrived, we were greeted by an unpleasant picture: the table was not only dirty, but also covered with leftovers – smeared pieces of rice, which we had to clean ourselves.
The wait for the waiter dragged on for half an hour. We sat patiently, but the girl stayed in her seat for a long time, immersed in the phone. When we finally decided to call her, it turned out that she was completely unaware of the menu and could not answer our questions. After we did order, we had to wait about 20 more minutes for her to bring only four glasses of beer. At the same time, we had to call her again to remind her.
As for the tea with dessert, it took about 30 minutes to prepare, a time that was completely beyond expectations. Instead of the ordered fresh roll, they brought us a deep-fried breadcrumb roll, and we naturally declined this dish. In response to our question about the preparation time for a new order, the girl stated with amazing dedication that everything is done very quickly. But reality again turned out to be far from what was promised: we had to wait forever – 30 minutes – just to get food.
As if that wasn't enough, the waiters forgot to bring the dishes. They didn't even give us napkins and said that we should eat with our hands. We were promised some kind of discount for our dissatisfaction, but soon the service was transferred to another waitress. She apologized for the inconvenience, but unfortunately did not provide the promised discount.
From a conversation with the new waiters, it became known that the first waiter just came from the street to work today. and this raises serious questions for me about the procedure for her admission to work and compliance with the norms of the SanPiN. This is not only alarming, but also turns the issue into an administrative offense.
The only one who proved himself to be truly professional and managed to fulfill his duties was the hookah man. He really understood how to create a comfortable atmosphere, which stands out quite strikingly from the general background. But, unfortunately, one good impression cannot make up for all the shortcomings and disappointments experienced during the evening in this institution.
If you want to eat with your hands and wait for food for 2 hours, and to be served by a random person from the street who may have HIV, then you are definitely here)

The shrimps were terrible, they were already cold right away, it feels like they just forgot about us. The shrimp just already stuck to the spades and it was difficult to peel it off with my teeth, while I was peeling this shrimp, the spade broke. We paid a large sum for such a meal and were very unhappy. Different waiters served each time, one hookah bar was normal.

There were three tables, one was occupied by guys with a hookah. Since we don't smoke, we decided to take the last table, away from them. We sat down, the waitress came up and said that this table was occupied. We had to sit in the middle closer to the guys. The most interesting thing is that on the left side, not a single table was occupied!!!! And they weren't busy in the 50 minutes we were there. They served us with such a dissatisfied face and did us such a favor that it was even uncomfortable. It's been a very long time. And in the end, it's tasteless.

Restaurant Review
I've been wanting to visit this restaurant for a long time and finally came there with my friends. Unfortunately, the impression turned out to be extremely disappointing – not because of the food, but because of the level of service.
1. Long waits and forgotten orders
When I joined my friends (I was an hour late), I had to call the waitress myself to place an order, as no one came up to me.
My friend waited for her salad for an hour. When the main course was brought to me, she asked the waitress about her order, and the salad was immediately found. Either they forgot about it, or it was really cooked for so long.
After a while, the waitress came up to me with a question: "Didn't you choose lemonade as a compliment?" They just forgot, sometimes, but not for the first time.
When my main course was taken away, I immediately asked for a salad – I didn't want to wait another hour. It was delivered immediately.
There were a lot of people in the hall, but the vast majority were just smoking hookah and drinking drinks, rather than ordering full meals. So it is difficult to explain this confusion by the workload of the kitchen.
2. Unprofessional service
• A waitress (as it turned out, an intern) I didn't know the basic rules of work. For example, she tried to take away my friends' dishes when they hadn't finished yet.
• In front of us, two waitresses were right at our table discussing who and where to put, and after how long we would leave.
The problem is not with the intern, but with the management. If the establishment employs inexperienced staff, why don't they warn the guests about this in advance? Why don't interns get trained before they enter the gym? Should I have asked the guests at the very beginning, "Do you mind if an intern serves you?" In restaurants of this level, it is unacceptable to replace people without a minimum understanding of service standards.
3. The result
Yes, the food was delicious. But a restaurant is not just about food. The impression is spoiled by the lack of organization, the chaos in the work of the staff and the lack of basic service.
And the saddest thing is that this is not an isolated incident. In Vitebsk, the overall quality of service in restaurants leaves much to be desired. Good service is already a rarity, not the norm.
I sincerely sympathize with the waitress who was simply put to work without proper training. But the management should think about it: if the problem is a shortage of personnel, then it means it's worth changing the approach, and not just taking the first available people and throwing them on a shift without training.

Yesterday we visited Manao Cafe for a gastrofest. I really liked it. All the dishes declared in the menu are delicious, fresh, beautifully decorated. Served quickly.
