An excellent monument to the Great Patriotic War and the defense of Mogilev. There is an opportunity to get acquainted with historical information in front of the memorial and look at various military equipment, a good place for a relaxing holiday for adults and children, but do not forget that this is a place of historical memory, so you should think about your behavior on this monument. This place is worth visiting for everyone to continue the memory of those for whom we live in peacetime.

A very significant place in the defense of the city and the USSR as a whole at the first stage of the Great Patriotic War!
A place where a large number of Soviet soldiers died and where the aggressor also suffered huge losses in manpower and military equipment, as well as felt the strength of the defenders' tenacity. He had not seen this force before in the conquered countries of Europe.
The first photographs in the history of the war were taken on the Buinichi field, where destroyed enemy equipment was visible. They were placed in Soviet newspapers and magazines and had great psychological significance for the Red Army. And then the novice correspondent K. Simonov took these pictures. The correspondent, writer and poet was shocked by what he saw on the Buinichi field. And he remembered this picture all his life, much later he bequeathed to cremate his body after death and scatter the ashes on the Buinichi field. That's what his relatives did.
It's nice that this memorable significant place is kept in excellent condition.

A good memorable place that is worth visiting if you are in Mogilev. A well-maintained, well-groomed territory. Reading memorials and commemorative plaques, you feel proud of those who defended our Homeland. The defense of Mogilev lasted 23 days, including by the forces of the people's militia: workers and employees of the factory, the railway junction, students and teachers of the pedagogical university and other people who will forever remain in the memory of the residents of the city. And it cannot but amaze the imagination. It is worth walking around these places, reading memorials, looking at tanks and other defensive equipment. By the way, the guy with whom we visited this place said that in his childhood (he hails from Mogilev) there were fewer tanks. Previously, they were allowed into the chapel where these heroes were buried, now I do not have such information, maybe on holidays you can get there. It is a pity that the plate is only on one tank - we could not recognize many of them. There are toilets on site, but we arrived in the evening and soon they were closed, so that should also be mentioned. Very close by, on the other side of the road, there is the Mogilev Zoo, if you want to continue your walk.
