This is the second time in this hotel! I read negative reviews about the food and I'm surprised-compared to other hotels-everything is fine with the food here - they cook an omelet for breakfast, plus there are several types of eggs, fish, meat, everything is cooked with you, papaya, pineapples-in unlimited quantities.
Yes, the numbers are dead, but this is the case everywhere.
Who writes that there are not enough sunbeds on the beach-if you come before 8 in the morning, you will be the first)
The bar is open 24/7, there is also a snack bar, it also works around the clock - you will not stay hungry! I definitely recommend this hotel.

Positive:
A huge territory, green, beautiful.
Clean beach, sun beds, umbrellas. Gorgeous sea, smooth entrance, snow-white sand.
Two huge clean pools.
Minuses:
The staff, especially in the dining room, will simply ignore you without a tip of 5-7 euros. There are no cutlery to be found, but if you give them money, they will bring it.
The game is full.
The tables are dirty, the dishes are unwashed.
But the most important thing is the cook, he does not know how to cook, no, he just spoils the food. With the same set of products, albeit modest (rice, potatoes, meat, pasta, cheese, fish, sausages, eggs), you can organize a decent lunch and dinner. Tie your hands and kick this guy out of the kitchen. Pasta seems difficult to spoil, but no, they can be boiled so that they resemble white slush, and for a highlight they can also be poured with anise.
The assortment is modest. Lunch is sour green watermelon, pasta slurry, sweet potatoes, rice, carrots, sausages, bread, a piece of meat or fish for which you have to stand in line for 40 minutes with an outstretched plate. Dinner is about the same. There are interruptions in the supply of food and the same food is cooked for 3 days in a row. Of the many declared restaurants, there is a pool bar and a dining room in the central building.
Everything would be fine, but there are no cafes or shops near the hotel, the nearest civilization is 10 km away, the cost of a taxi for this distance is 50 euros. One way. In Varadero itself there is a store with empty shelves, only mayonnaise, beer, rum and olives. The cafe has a large assortment, the price will be invented in front of you, it depends on your arrogance and your appearance. Pizza from 5 to 15 euros. Shrimp from 10 to 25 euros per serving. As you agree.
There is no kettle in the rooms. You can't interrogate water. There is no cooler anywhere. The staff has a siesta 24 hours a day. The safe is not working. The exchanger is always closed. But each room has an iron, it's understandable, I came to iron from morning to night)))
If the hotel had 2 or one 1 star, then it would be understandable, but 4 is just rude.

The rooms just leave much to be desired, everything is broken, it smells damp, the balcony opens only if you apply the greatest force, you sleep with ants that just run over your face. For 15 days, we never changed the bed linen, which was very dirty, as well as towels, the chocolate bar helped once by making swans, but in fact, they didn't get us, I would like a completely different attitude to cleanliness. We lived with my husband during this time we were given only one shower gel and soap. From the mini-bar announced in the tour, 1 bottle of water per day (the worst thing was that one day they didn't give it to almost the entire hotel, they called the reception twice and asked to bring it, since the reception itself was far from us, we lived near the ocean, well, at night to run for water, which so it had to be hard too, in the end they promised and did not bring, at 6 am they ran to the bar 24/7, which to drink water). On the second or third day, I caught E. coli, they said that everyone goes through it, there is nowhere to buy medicines there, if only tourists leave each other.The food is about nothing, there is nothing to eat, we went hungry, went out for dinner three times to eat in Varadero. Service is generally something beyond. It's scary to eat from their dishes, and even drink from plastic, several times we saw with our family how someone else's dirty glasses were rinsed and given to others, some plastics were bitten by someone. Yes, at the expense of food, take salt with you, everything is bland, tasteless. Let's go further, if you are not with a green bracelet, then you will see all the most disgusting treatment, so, cola will always end for you at the bar, and it will be for the greens (there was a situation in the pool, a Canadian took 3 cubes of libre in front of us, we were told immediately after him that there was no more cola, also after the green one approaches us and we see that he is with a kubo libra, we go again, they whistle to the bartenders and show them the bracelet and again there is no cola, it happened repeatedly, we went to the snack bar over this bass, the first time we came, although we were happy, there was a hot dog and a sandwich (although there are 5 positions in the menu or something), then there was only a sandwich (on another day already), on another already some kind of shit, BUT they give a sandwich to another, then we got mad and came at 11 in the morning and what do you think, again there is only one position. There was also a situation on the beach, everyone was busy, but the green zone was free, they wanted to lie down there, we were told to leave, like it was only for the greens, we asked why the greens were in "our" zone, to which we received the answer that they could be everywhere and everything, they asked for a sunbed, they were not given. In the queue at the bar, green is also a priority. The work of the reception and the entire staff is generally surprising, faced with aggression (I can throw off the full story by voice), asked for help from the reception, so again, not to provoke a fight (all Canadians with green bracelets), no one helped us, on the way to the room, this dog attacked her husband in the dark near the sports bar do you think someone helped? No, then we returned to the reception and this freak came running with a bottle of whiskey and wanted to punch my daughter's boyfriend in the head, what did the guards do? Nothing, they were afraid of him, his husband threw him on the floor and broke this bottle on the floor, who separated them, the guards? No, my daughter's boyfriend and I, my daughter fainted in general, and no one could help, I screamed at my daughter, asking for help, my husband was with a Canadian dog at that time, and everyone just stood and watched like in a movie, only then, as this Canadian did not have bottles, only then they held him. We asked to call these cars to the room, because it was already scary to go and the next day the fear did not go away, because it is not clear what is on his mind and why such aggression on the Russians. The most unpleasant thing is, you know what, we were also evicted for this, but then the tour operator decided everything, and justice prevailed, but two days were fucked up, before the eviction, we were already taken from the beach with five guards, as if we were to blame for this (in short, it was as unpleasant as possible, And it was all Pegasus, who did not come to us what kind of attitude did I have, who said that we owe them 600 euros and we sleep outside the hotel under palm trees, it's just unthinkable such a bestial treatment.After our departure, the Canadians also started provoking a family we know with a child, pouring cocktails on them, but knowing our history, they just had to endure this piggishness).
In short, if you are flying to Cuba, just not to this hotel, there is nothing for Russians to do there and not from the Pegasus tour operator (friends were from this tour operator, they told so much, in a word Pegasus-p .....)This is my first such review, but I don't want to be silent about such lawlessness at all!

Oh, this is a separate story, it did not cause appetite at all, they ate, because they knew what they wanted to eat, disgusting sausages, undercooked cutlets and salted mussels, everything else is bland, there were no eggs for breakfast for five days in a row, and the employees are all waiting for gifts or dollars. Animation is good, the guys are trying, but I didn't really participate anywhere, I just went to the disco every night, and played volleyball in the afternoon, but we did it without animation, because you can't look at the ball without tears. They brought their own. Of the minuses, the administration is not in contact, it was not a birthday, so that at least something was fixed, you need to approach probably at least 10 times, and on the third day they will ask what is wrong, you will explain to them, they will go for a tool, and that's it siesta. The bathroom was leaking, the lock was breaking every now and then, the window wouldn't open. The cleaning is mediocre, without tips or gifts, they will not be cleaned. The sea is cool and the main thing is the mood, I liked everything, I removed 2 stars because of the administration, the so-called custom service, they nod their heads all the time, we'll do it, but in fact, who is still there.

Wonderful hotel arrived on 31.12.21 and is still here. There are 4 restaurants and 3 snack bars on site. Restaurants: the main one, where the lobby, 2 near the pool - with a fountain is open from 12 and about 16, by the pool with slides it is open from 10 and until 17. There is brewed coffee, cola, fanta, juice and spirits. They make cocktails . I recommend to try Beer with tomato juice;))) The beach bar is open from 10.30 and lunch is served - risotto with seafood from 12.00. There are a lot of sun beds on the beach, good access to the sea. There's sand everywhere. There are free catamaran and canoe rentals available for hotel guests. Snorkeling is also offered on a small catamaran with a sail near the island. Cool. Ala carte restaurants: Cuban- ordinary food, unremarkable interior, Italian- good pizza and pasta and Japanese- I especially recommend. A whole show with a chef and the freshest seafood. The hotel has a shop where you can buy rum, cigars, T-shirts. Prices are cheaper than in Varadero. But you can only pay with a card, dollars or euros. Moreover, $ 1 = 1€. From the hotel, there is a stop on the road - from 9.00 every 30 minutes there is a 2-storey bus to Varadero. Travel 5 €=$ per person. A ticket for the whole day. You can go out, wander around the American Plaza, Dolphinarium, Ambrosio Cave (solid hydrogen sulfide ; (((I do not recommend) and go further. The last bus from Varadero leaves at 18.00. If you are late, then a taxi is 10-20 € as you bargain. In the evening there is a disco for children and then a show for adults: a fire show, a circus on the Water, just artists. To be honest, we've only been there a couple of times. Near the pool with a slide, they constantly dance during the day and animators play with guests - funny and fun. There is a massage parlor with Jacuzzi and sauna, the cost starts from 33€. There is a free gym from 9.00. I used to run in the morning along the golden sandy beach- from the hotel to the right. The sand is dense and you can run in sneakers - it does not get clogged. The cleanliness in our room was perfect. Alyonka's chocolate, hairpins, lipstick and all sorts of small things were brought. We want to leave shoes and medicines when we leave. Cuba is not a rich country and they enjoy every little thing like children. The hotel has a large area with fountains and pools. The beach is very large and clean, there are always places. Take thermos cups with you - rum, wine and Beer heat up quickly. Masks are required at the entrance to the restaurant at the hotel. If you forgot, then run back to the room or buy at the store for 1€. About the rooms: the houses are 3 storeys high. The rooms are tired but clean. Everything worked fine, towels were changed. Laundry in 2-3 days. There is an ashtray, chairs and a table on the balcony. Closer to the sea: house number 36,37,38. We live in 37, it's quiet and you can't hear the evening disco. A huge number of rooms. The hotel can accommodate from 600 to 1000 people at a time. Accommodation in separate boxes (houses with 63 rooms) and a large territory. 3 swimming pools, 3 restaurants and a huge dining room with 6 cafes and bars. The choice is not very big. Meat dishes are offered in large quantities, seafood is extremely rare.
Sauna, Jacuzzi and spa salon!
Theater, daily animations both on the beach and by the pools, and in the evening at the theater!Most of the vacationers are Cubans. The furniture is old, the plumbing also needs repair.
The rooms are cleaned daily. The rooms are equipped with air conditioning, refrigerators, safes.
The beach is magnificent, but to improve the service (since there is a beach bar), it is necessary to put tables near the sun loungers, and ashtrays are required, which will not clog the beach.
Buildings 37.38 are located next to the theater, it's a bit noisy in the evening hours.
In general, the hotel is good, you can have fun in it for every taste, you can also retire (the territory allows)

The Internet does not work everywhere, but it is not critical. I was very pleased with the territory: large, clean, green. 2 pools, one with slides. The beach is good, there are a lot of sunbeds. The maids do not know English, and in general they are shameless. Once, while I was in the shower with the doors open, they brought water and did not put it near the door, but locked themselves into the room and left it on the table. The food is mostly not tasty. But with the fact that the inhabitants of Cuba rarely see these peddlers, we are "overeager". It's annoying that they won't give you anything to put in a plate on your own. There are specially trained people everywhere and they will put you symbolically, you have to stand and ask for more. For some reason, the administration did not guess the animation. And all the entertainment is held in the sun, dancing from 12 to 14. And where to look for entertainment is not written anywhere. There is an exclusive, but there is such a queue for drinks. And the drinks are so-so, the bartenders were taught to mix cocktails to order. The cleaners of the territory are creative-hats and animal figurines are made from palm leaves (for the price you give). Cards from the room cannot be kept next to the phone-they are demagnetized

We had a vacation in February 2020 with my brother. We had a whole quest. First, we were put in a room with bugs and cockroaches where everything was on snot (at the same time we tipped at the reception $ 10 so that we were immediately put in a normal room). We complained to the reception and the operator a day later we were moved closer to the sea and to an average quality room. A day has passed since we were asked to move out of it as it is reserved for other guests and we were given a replacement for another even better room. And it turned out that we should have had the final number initially! But the adventures did not end: in the final room of our floor, the door lock broke, including us, and it was not possible to enter the room for 4 hours!
As for nutrition: it's great, except that there are no juices, everything was fine!
Cleanliness: not bad! They didn't complain!
Bar: my brother lived near him and did not want to leave 🤣
Beach: no complaints. The ocean is gorgeous!

In general, we were very satisfied with the rest, by the way, this is my third trip - to Varadero for the second time, the first time I was in Holguin, so, no matter what anyone wrote in the reviews, you should not go to Cuba for service, you need to go here for the ocean, warmth and Cuban flavor! If you need a service, fly to the Dominican Republic.
The first thing that worries the Russian tourist is the service: yes, I had to establish relations with the staff with gifts, but I do not regret a pack of paracetamol for 8 rubles. or a barberry. Queues in the dining room can also be avoided, there is always a "rush hour" and a time when there are fewer people in the dining room - in 10 days we got on the queue only a couple of times at lunch, at the same time, we remained just as full.
The second is the number of rooms. In Cuba, in most hotels it is old, in this hotel too. There were no insects, the linen was clean, the towel was always changed on request (the request is to leave a dirty towel on the floor). There were jambs with the balcony closing, it did not close and opened tightly, no one came to fix it, but we got used to it and scored. In general, we only spent the night in the room.
The third is the Internet, now everything is much better than on my last visit in 2019 (paid cards for 60 minutes), you can get access for 3 hours at the reception, they gave me 6 hours once instead of 3, you can extend it every day, it catches throughout the territory and, as I understood, everywhere where there are access points. We went to the nearby beach (Paradisus Hotel) and connected there with our username and password.
The fourth is the beach. Personally, I didn't like it, the coastline is narrow, I don't like swimming among corals, the waves were always not strong. That is why we went to the neighboring beach (to the left after the coral reef), there is a bay and it is always calm, shallow and clean. By the way, on the way to that beach just behind our Dimond Club, look for the gate to the giant cactus (see photo). I am attaching a photo of our hotel beach.
The fifth is tourists. We were on 28.11-09.12, at about this time the airport was closed for departure from Canada, so there were very few Canadians. There were Russians, Poles, Belarusians and Cubans. Cubans are arrogant, especially in the dining room, they collect mountains of food, create those queues, and then their tables are littered with half-eaten food. But I think this is because, in general, Cubans cannot afford to eat and drink in 3 throats in everyday life, yet they have a lot of scarce goods, something is issued in limited quantities on coupons, so getting to a hotel where everything is included and such a variety, they start typing everything they can.
The sixth is food. From vegetables - lettuce leaves, peas, cabbage, carrots, beets, cucumbers, but cucumbers somehow were missing for as much as 4 days. Sauces - mayonnaise, "ketchenez", there was some more. Of the fruits, there was always papaya, guava, grapefruit, then pineapple and watermelon appeared, but papaya was the ripest and sweetest, the rest of the fruits were often unripe. There is a large selection of desserts, rolls and they are often delicious. There are 3 restaurants on site by appointment, you can go for a change, there is a decent pizza in Italian. There is a bar behind the reception, which opens at 4-5 o'clock and works until 22:00, a new cocktail is prepared there every day, it was our favorite place, I recommend it. In other bars, they don't bother with recipes.
The territory of the hotel is huge, green, two huge pools, excellent animation both during the day by the pool and in the evening. Several bars were closed, so the hotel is not fully open
I will not write about excursions, the flight, as through any operator, is uncomfortable, fortunately Azur feeds, unlike Nordwind, but still, with a height of 183, it is extremely uncomfortable to sit. There were no monitors, we were flying on a 737 Boeing. By the way, we flew there with refueling in Reykjavik, a total flight of 14 hours.. Upon returning to Moscow Time, the suitcase was badly beaten, the cover was torn, and a pack of coffee beans burst inside. But the pilot of the plane Maxim landed the plane unnoticed by the passengers, for which I thank him very much!

It corresponds to its 4 stars. We lived in room 32204. The safe did not work. They tried to dock with a repairman, but then abandoned this idea. The hot water was sometimes not hot. Once we found towels on the floor on the balcony... The food seems to be there, but everything is somehow not tasty, the coffee is only good at the reception bar. Take ketchup, mayonnaise and spices🤣The staff is mostly smiling😁Cocktails taste very much depends on who made them. A smile and a little tip work wonders. Cleanliness: the room seemed to be cleaned, friends were on the territory, there are bins along the paths, why throw empty glasses on the lawn?! By the way, I recommend taking a thermocup with you. The hotel is suitable for Cuba and 4ka. In general, I recommend it

We expected the worst. The beach is super, the area is huge and green. The food is normal, we didn't have enough seafood, we went to a restaurant. The lock in the bathroom broke, it was done very quickly.Our towels were stolen on the beach, it turns out they are paid and their availability is checked at checkout.I had to negotiate with the maid, she brought us 2 for 5 euros. The alcohol is good, the thermos cups helped. they were just glad that they took it. If you don't find fault, everything is OK.
