Memorial Complex – Operation Bagration The
Belarusian offensive Operation Bagration was an offensive operation of the Red Army of the USSR Armed Forces against the armed forces of Nazi Germany, which began on June 23, 1944 and lasted for 2 months
During Operation Bagration, the Soviet army inflicted a major defeat on the German army, defeating Army Group Center, which, combined with the success of the Allied offensive in France, predetermined the military defeat of Nazi Germany in the spring of 1945.
During this extensive offensive, the territory of Belarus, eastern Poland, and part of the Baltic States were liberated and the German Army Group Center was almost completely defeated. The Wehrmacht suffered heavy losses, partly due to the fact that A. Hitler repeatedly forbade retreat, not agreeing with the proposals of his generals. Subsequently, Germany was no longer able to make up for these losses.…
From a military point of view, the battle in Belarus led to a massive defeat of the German armed forces. In the official German military history of World War II, Operation Bagration is regarded as the greatest defeat in the entire German history.

Yeah...
This memorial complex with a fundamental monument in the center has been installed among small settlements!
We recently found out about it and of course visited it at the first opportunity.
There is also a small museum here.
Everything is very interesting and informative!
The access road from Bobruisk is quite normal. The memorial complex has a lot of parking spaces.
We recommend visiting the complex and the museum with children!

I liked the museum. It is small, but there is an interesting exposition, photos, things dug up from the battlefields, etc. There is a sale of souvenirs (magnets, plates, beer mugs). Admission is 1.5 rubles, another ruble for shooting. They only accept cash.

If you suddenly drive along the Mozyr -Minsk highway, then be sure to stop at this place.
I didn't regret when I made a stop in the autumn season, and even on a sunny day-it's very beautiful.
However, I really want there to be nothing superfluous in such memorable places...namely, installed and unrelated equipment.
In everything else...Thanks for the cleanliness and culture!

The monument of Bagration's support (correct the surname) is beautifully and spectacularly arranged, BUT I still did not understand if this monument is a World War II operation, then there is a BMD-2 there
