The Baku Museum of Modern Art is a great place for all art lovers. Located in a deconstructivist interior, the museum is a bold and unique solution.
Firstly, it is worth noting that the museum is small, but extremely full of exhibits that reflect the work of local artists and sculptors. A ticket to visit the museum costs 10 manats.
On the ground floor of the museum there are works by local authors made in various techniques and genres. Here you can see paintings, sculptures, installations and much more. It is especially worth paying attention to the works in the field of digital art, which are very relevant and interesting.
However, the main highlight of the museum is on the second floor. The works of such world-famous masters as Picasso and Dali are presented here.
In general, the Baku Museum of Modern Art is a great place for those who want to get acquainted with the art and creativity of contemporary artists. The bold and unusual interior of the museum, as well as the variety of exhibits, make it incredibly interesting and attractive to visitors of all ages! :)

I have mixed feelings about visiting this museum. At the entrance, they said you can take pictures of everything except paintings by European artists. We went around looking, taking pictures, and finally we came to these paintings and took pictures. A security guard came running and asked to delete the photos. Then he asked me to delete it from the phone's trash. It's a little unclear why he doesn't sit in this room and warn in advance that these are the paintings. The museum itself is not big, there are a lot of paintings, as for me, they even hang in a bunch in some places. In addition to paintings, there are sculptures in the aisles.

Solid 4. If you have been to St. Petersburg in the Era, Art Museum, etc., you will not find anything impressive here. Two floors and a lot of paintings. Some are not bad, some are like from the local children's school. Cheap entry price. Cons: there is nothing in Russian, there is no adequate description, the names of paintings are sometimes placed somewhere at the beginning of the room, Picasso and Dali can be skipped altogether because of this arrangement of paintings, there is an excessive confusion and a complete lack of structuring of works and rooms with them

An unexpectedly gorgeous museum! As an architect, I was particularly impressed by the deconstructivist interior: a bold decision! The exposition was pleasantly pleased and did not leave anyone indifferent. I definitely recommend everyone to visit, especially since it costs only 5 manats. The only thing I put a minus for is the guard, who began to hurry me up (!) at the beginning of the ninth, adding unnecessary nervousness and spoiling the impression of the visit as a whole. (At the ticket office, when buying a ticket, they confidently informed that the museum is open until 21:00.)

In some places it's obvious trash (well, or for an amateur).
Two floors of expositions. On the second floor there is a hall with classical works, one of which is not allowed to be photographed for some reason and is asked to erase if a photo has been taken, although from my point of view there is nothing special in this picture)))

A large museum, cleanliness, order, a lot of paintings and other exhibits. I didn't catch the systematization, the signatures are short, small, there is no Russian. Everything is mixed up. I didn't like a lot of things. In a good way, four stars. But there are some very decent jobs, including those with a local flavor. I didn't regret it.

The Museum of Modern Art in Baku (MoMA) opened in 2009. The museum seems to be small, but right saturated. The original structure of the room. There are paintings, sculptures. And it's even better to take a guide, so it's much more interesting and informative to watch. The cost is small, but I recommend it directly. There are a couple of paintings by famous artists, such as Chagall and Picasso (literally one painting each, but there are), but they cannot be photographed. And a large exhibition of Azerbaijani artists.

An excellent museum of modern Azerbaijani art. There are unknown authors and quite famous ones (Zakir, Tofiq Javadov). There is a sufficient amount of sculpture on the ground floor. The exposition is large, but at the same time the museum is compact. In this museum there are sketches by Dali, Picasso, Chagall and someone else from the modern world masters - but the works are not clear, but this is for my taste. And there are not many such works (they are posted on the second floor).
In general, the museum is interesting to visit, it gives an idea of the modern art of Azerbaijan and there is something to see here.

A good museum with good works, the only disadvantage (for me) is that all the paintings in different styles are scattered and the transition from one space to another, precisely from the point of view of the styles of work, is unorganized. Well, in principle, the Museum of modern art is similar in essence to similar ones. The room itself is interestingly decorated, but removed the star for the inconvenience of understanding the names of the paintings themselves and the artist. Everything is posted on the edge of the wall and you have to run to read and come back. And there are also no personal hygiene rooms and a small cafe. Usually all this is present in most museums.

We went to the museum on the last day. They didn't regret it at all. We got an idea of modern trends in the work of Azerbaijani artists. We were convinced that they are basically the same as in Russia and in world painting.
The museum is light, cool, and free.
The ticket costs 5 manats.
We got to the museum on foot, from the old town for about half an hour through the beautiful streets. Only near the museum itself is construction underway, and a somewhat uncomfortable approach to it.
