A pleasant place, interesting paintings, we often go to exhibitions in Moscow, that is, quite spoiled visitors, despite the size of the exhibition-not very large, I think it requires 100% attendance. We took an on-site tour

May 18, 2025 Museum Day in Yerevan, we wanted to visit the Museum of Russian Art as a family.
The halls of the museum, they are few, beautiful, harmonious lighting, modern!
I want to examine every detail of the painting, read the title, the artist's name, the year, BUT!!! One of the museum staff made remarks to my son and me a billion times that we were getting close to the paintings, it was 30 cm from the painting! I don't have enough vision to see the small letters, well, they're really very small! They also told me to take care of the glasses for myself in advance, very politely from a stranger?
In conclusion, I really want to go to art galleries and show art to children, but how? If you are constantly being criticized? We go to museums and have different experiences, but this is the first time I've seen such constant tension from the staff for the entire half hour.
Would a 6-year-old child want to go back to the museum, where it is impossible to examine the brushstrokes, the year of the painting, to read its name by syllables?
The museum is wonderful, the staff is not all polite, unfortunately!

In the very center of the city there is a museum of Russian art , the collection of professor , doctor Abrahamyan . The content of the museum is impressive, the brochure says that "thanks to its very valuable collection.. the museum is known ... as the Small Tretyakov Gallery" because it contains works by Korovin, Roerich, Serebryakova, Benois, Grabar, Kustodiev, Petrov-Vodkin and many other artists. Some paintings are not behind glass , and this allows you to see every detail without glare . It's just amazing. The only thing I would like to do is to buy a souvenir brochure with a description of the museum and a list of works. But unfortunately the museum does not offer them . I recommend you to visit 🙂
