An excellent idea and architectural realization of the museum: the whole path goes spiraling upwards, from the first days of the war to Victory. A modern museum. Interesting items, weapons and other attributes of the Great Patriotic War. An excursion to the main one about the exploits of the Belarusian people. I recommend listening to the tour first..and then we can walk around the second circle and calmly look at photographs, old videos. The territory is neat. I was impressed by the hall dedicated to the concentration camps. The dome of the building is very beautiful from the inside.

There is a soldier's porridge in the cafe. They are quickly disassembled. Wardrobe is available. Toilets are normal. There is a souvenir shop.

I'll tell you a story about how we tried to get on a museum tour for two days in a row.
We arrived on August 10 at five in the evening (two hours before closing)
At our request to buy tickets with an excursion, the cashier snorted with displeasure that, in fact, they have all excursions until 16:00 at most (apparently, the guides rest 3 hours before closing)
An important point! We asked about booking an excursion for tomorrow, to which the answer was given that they do not book excursions
We decided to take an audio guide, to which the answer was received that they were all already on charge
They asked how many times we should come tomorrow, so that we could not just read the description of the exhibits, but listen to a professional guide
We received an answer: "come tomorrow at 15:00, we are in the midst of excursions at this time,"
Said and done. Already at 14:30 we were at the museum at the ticket office. And lo and behold! The same cashier.
We say: "please, we need two tickets with an excursion"
The answer, apparently recorded on the subcortex, did not take long to wait: "all the excursions have already ended, the audio guides are on recharge"
We just bought entrance tickets and decided to contact the reception desk
At this counter, a nice young girl told us that the last tour took place at 14:00 (sorry, but for 5!!!! hours before closing)
Of course, the audio guides are already on charge. After all, 1,500 people have already passed before us, as we were told.
Apparently, the 1501 and 1502 employees have already exhausted their strength.....
The woman checking the tickets barked at us that we ourselves can actually walk around the museum and read normally.
Let's go-the fairy tale museum! Very beautiful exhibitions and exhibits.
But we managed to read a little… As well as to learn something about the museum. There are hundreds of portraits behind the windows. Only the full name and title are signed under them. What this man did, guess for yourself.
Combat vehicles have only those. specifications. Where this car fought, whether it fought at all-also find out, apparently, on the Internet.
After going through the entire museum, we decided to leave a review, asking for a special book provided in all museums. Surprisingly, she wasn't there when I decided to mention that I wanted to leave a review specifically about the employees and their work so that the higher-level administration could pay attention to it. I asked where I could leave a review then. The receptionist girl said that on Yandex maps. But what about the official website of the museum, where the staff should definitely read reviews? The girl told me about him only after my mention.
Of course, I decided to ask how we could still get on the tour, because there are a lot of questions left.... You won't believe it! It turns out that there is a record that the cashier staff for some reason do not know about!
I decided to clarify when it is possible to get at least to the audio guides.
The answer made us smile nervously: "they work with us from morning to four in the evening" (apparently people who want to come to the museum after 4, for a minute, three hours before closing, do not have the right to listen to at least an audio guide, I am already silent about the guide ...)
Why did I smile nervously? Yes, because the audio guides, which, according to them, work until 4, were already on charge at 2..
Then the girl, apparently, got very nervous from the fact that I was at her, at the administrator, decided to clarify some questions (to be honest, I thought it was her responsibility) and decided to tell me all her dissatisfaction
, "Actually, I already gave out 20 today!!!! audio guides" (heroine)
How strange it was to hear this after we were informed that 1,500 people had already passed today.
I was surprised and decided to ask again if they really have only 20 audio guides for such a number of visitors???
The girl, not understanding why we were so surprised, replied: "Well, yes"
And the administrator decided to finish us off at the end, saying: "Actually, we had Italians, French, and Portuguese here before you, we want to give them audio guides to listen to"
We just fell out. That is, the Portuguese should listen, but we, the Russians, the fraternal people, do not....?
Is this Russianism in the museum of the Great Patriotic War? It's even scary…
I ask you to draw the attention of the museum administration to the work of your staff and give an answer that you have read this comment. Otherwise, I will send this comment to higher authorities.
The museum is wonderful, but we came out of it from head to toe…

The best WWII museum that I managed to visit. You can't look at everything carefully at a time, but the atmosphere is very soulful. When we were at the museum, my daughter was a little old, but she remembered something anyway. This year we want to repeat the trip to Belarus, so in the list of places to visit in Minsk, husbands are in the first place. My daughter has grown up, so I will book a tour. Surprised me! I advise everyone. Very interesting. I've been to many WWII museums, but this one stands out for its grandeur. It's naturalistic. The partisan way of life is widely shown. School, infirmary, dugouts, kitchen! There are four halls in the whole museum. Navigation is designed so that you don't miss anything by following the arrows. You can take a guided tour. We didn't take it. We went through everything calmly in 1.5 hours, but we didn't stick to something for a long time)). At the exit there is a souvenir shop where you can buy souvenirs with military-patriotic themes (flasks, medals, hats ...). Near the park with waterfalls, fountains and cafes. The museum itself is within walking distance from the metro. I advise you to visit if you need to take time before leaving, for example. As it happened with us).

Пожалуй это самый большой, самый подробный, самый лучший, самый-самый музей о Великой Отечественной войне. Великолепная экспозиция! Проходя по залам, испытываешь весь спектр эмоций: боль от колоссальных человеческих потерь, сострадание к измученным, истерзанным в лагерях, сожженным заживо и отравленным в газовых камерах женщинам, детям, старикам. Есть отдельные залы, рассказывающие про партизанское движение в Беларуси, одно из самых массовых в ту войну. Бурю положительных эмоций испытываешь в зале Славы, где золотыми буквами в камне высечены имена погибших за Родину, за Победу, за то чтобы мы жили в свободной стране. И невольно нахлынет ностальгия по той огромной, непобедимой, великой стране под названием Союз Советских Социалистических Республик.
Только посетив этот музей можно осознать, что в то время не было более крепкого и могучего кулака, способного остановить эту фашистскую заразу.

We used the audio guide, which had 93 audio for 2.5 hours (the only thing sometimes jammed headphones)
