The art gallery is located in the center of Yerevan, very convenient. A large, beautiful building, 6 floors, it was a pity that the hall of European art was closed.On the 5th floor, almost the entire floor is dedicated to Aivazovsky. The price is very reasonable, 2000 drams.

I was incredibly impressed by the National Gallery. I recommend taking an excursion, it costs 5,000 drams, and the pleasure is immense. The four of us walked for 1.5 hours, we can say an individual tour. The girl told everything incredibly interestingly, helped to immerse herself in art and history with her head.

Briefly about the main thing: "A great place where canvases and other artistic works of Armenian and Russian artists from different eras are collected."
The main thing in short is that it is a pity that there are no works of art by Azerbaijani artists, because the National Gallery is the best place to start reconciliation.

We visited the national gallery with the children. We really wanted to see Ivan Aivazovsky's paintings. We decided to take an excursion. We had a tour guide, Lusine, a wonderful professional in his field. She told me with such love that 2 hours flew by unnoticed. I'm absolutely thrilled.

I went there only because of Aivazovsky and never regretted it. There are a lot of works, there is something to see. One of the unique items was a brooch with a whole sea panorama, a small stone from the black sea, but again with a finely drawn marine picture. In general, each Aivazovsky painting is unique, and each one can admire for a long time both the huge canvas of the ninth shaft in St. Petersburg and such a small brooch. I walked through the rest of the halls quickly, I liked the stone sculptures, I liked the painting by Leon Gasparyan, it seems to be written in pencil, but you can feel the volume. I didn't even have time to look into the halls on the 2nd floor, the gallery was already closing. But it will be an occasion to visit Yerevan and its art gallery once again.😁

An interesting place.
The main motive for visiting the gallery was Aivazovsky. There are his paintings here that you will definitely not find and see in another museum.
Expectations were met, as the artist is outstanding and the paintings are extraordinary.
The rest of the exposition evoked more restrained emotions. Perhaps because most of the gallery has been under repair for several years and is not accessible to the public.

The only drawback: in the gallery, wedding couples arrange photo shoots against the background of paintings, it is impossible to approach them, you have to wait a long time.
Otherwise, I'm totally excited!
An amazing collection. A large collection of Aivazovsky's works. I was struck to the heart by the Armenian modernists. I recommend 100%.

A beautiful building on Republic Square. Now there are repairs above the fourth floor, on the ground floor too. There is a sculpture hall in the basement. In June - July 2024, there was an exhibition of Italian art. But Aivazovsky's exposition was much more impressive. There are no audio guides. The entrance ticket is 2000 AMD. In general, the visit is justified

The paintings are interesting, but they ignored them at the checkout and did not say that they were working until 16.00 today, because of this they could not see all the halls. In the end, they just turned off the lights and chased me down the stairs...........

Repair. There were three halls. Aivazovsky. I came by recommendation. Yes, there is a lot of it and I enjoyed it. I liked two works by Armenian impressionists. And everything.
There was also an exhibition of French art. Cute.
The rest of the works are not accessible to my aesthetic perception. In the first photo, for example.
The museum itself does not have any cafes or coffee shops. It is necessary to introduce some modern multimedia elements. Moreover, people from different countries visit. It would be useful and interesting to read something on a multimedia screen, for example, about a particular Armenian artist and his works.

The permanent exhibition of I. Aivazovsky makes a very strong impression, quite a large number of works, you can fully enjoy the works of the marine artist. An interesting exposition of A. Hakobyan's works. At the end of which you can try to make your own sculpture from the proposed details, of course, under the impression of the works you have seen. It will be very exciting and useful for children at the same time.

I decided to go to the gallery today. I looked at the schedule on the official website - it works from 11 to 18. I came and tried to buy a ticket. There was no one at the checkout! There are no announcements that the gallery is not working today. I started asking at the souvenir shop, at the security, at the ticket office of the historical museum(they are in the same building as the gallery). Nobody knows anything! While I was walking around the lobby and asking, a lot of people came who, like me, wanted to get into the gallery. I have been to many galleries around the world and have not seen such an attitude towards visitors! I really hope that the management (and maybe the heads of the gallery's managers) will read my review and take measures to prevent this from happening again.

At the entrance, they did not explain to us that the historical museum and the art gallery are different entrances and payment, respectively. And we were limited in time and got to the museum. Interesting, but not those expectations. The paintings of the great Aivazovsky are presented in the art gallery and we saw this beauty only from the second visit :)

It is not necessary to visit Yerevan. The disadvantages noted by me:
- there is no audio guide;
- excursions on an unknown schedule;
- information about the artist is available only in the Aivazovsky hall, in the rest there are just paintings /sculptures without any interactive;
- repairs are underway on the 5th-6th floor, so viewing Aivazovsky is accompanied by a puncher;
- inconvenient working hours from 11 to 18, it is almost impossible to get there with a busy tour program.
Otherwise, a solid 4 with a minus.

I put 4, first of all why let's start with the pros, the entrance group is gorgeous , the receptionist is polite, good, the cloakroom attendant is generally a nice woman, she suggested, took my things for storage so that I wouldn't drag around with them, there is a safe, they give out a key , the exhibition of ancient times was not impressed, I wanted something else , it was so the same carpet exhibition , as if in some kind of store
Of the disadvantages, there is no information about exhibitions that are held in Russian, so that you can choose
And I would like to see more , as if something was missing for me .
And so in general, the museum is modern and solid!
