The first thing we noticed was the atmosphere and cleanliness of the place. Pleasant aroma at the entrance, no smells of fried food when the kitchen is running at full capacity. A warm welcome for the guests, all the tables are located well and there are practically no uncomfortable places. The interior is an oriental remodel, bright and cozy.
Guests are greeted with an appetite-boosting drink called shalap (ayran, water and salt). The menu is extensive, there is a section for healthy lifestyle. Usually, in such establishments, there is an uncompromising emphasis on hearty and high-calorie food, and here they thought about phytonics. The menu has literally everything that is typical of Oriental cuisine, it is difficult to make a choice without the help of a waiter.
They took spicy achichuk, fatush, khan cheburek and fried lagman. And baklava for dessert. While waiting for food, we expected to drink an icy Sauvignon blanc. But they waited for the wine for a very long time and finally brought it when the dishes began to be served. It was warm. It ruined our plan for a wine aperitif.
So, about the food. Achichuk was not impressed, and the juice from the tomatoes on the plate looked unpleasant. He would be good for pilaf, but not by himself. But fatouche with wow-serving is great. A huge juicy and delicious, balanced dressing, a portion for the company. Khan cheburek upset, we expected something very juicy, but it turned out to be average in quality of meat and dough. Lagman is very tasty, the portion is gigantic and it was simply impossible to stop. Baklava is also good. In general, from what we have tried, everything is at a stable average level. I think they also have trump dishes, so to speak. But for them - another time. The impression of the food is pleasant, but not wow.
Then, in the middle of the evening, the most interesting thing begins - at some point the waiters started dancing.🕺🏾
Summing up, I will say that Navat is a sincere, understandable restaurant with Oriental cuisine and excellent hospitable service.
I would have come back here, but for other dishes.

unfortunately, there are no photos left, an incomparable teahouse! Everything is delicious! Kazy is fat, well salted, I wanted to take her home with me! awesome pilaf, and any kind (and there are several types), crispy on the outside and tender inside baursaks! We went there with colleagues for lunch! Highly recommended

It's a very touristic place. The bazaar is a railway station. Huge squares, a million waiters, everyone is running around, but sometimes they forget you and you have to embark on this whirlwind in search of your waiter. The food is 3 out of 5. Neither good nor bad. Designed for mass production. Ask me now (3 months after the visit) what I remember, but I didn't remember anything, it didn't sink into my soul. There are more interesting places in Almaty. The same Venice. There were no wow effects.

The best place to get acquainted with the national cuisine. Everything except pilaf was new to me) The staff is responsive and friendly, and everything from receptionists to waiters. They advise and ask if they like everything.
The pilaf is excellent, the beshbarmak is excellent.
Lagman is good, but just not my dish, I tried it in two different places and still the same beshbarmak is 1000 times tastier)
Navat is a must have if you are in Almaty.

We came to dinner with our family, ordered naryn, fried chuchwara, salad, lemonade, samsa kese. As a result, of all that I liked, it was only the salad and the interior. Chuchvara dumplings were overcooked or lay for a long time- hard, cold naryn sorpa was asked to warm up, as a result, they brought it the second time and again barely warm waited 15 minutes!!!!The lemonade is not delicious. They didn't wait for Samsa kese to leave.

I like the practice of the institution to give "compliments" in the form of a drink "shalap", sometimes bauyrsaki. The decoration is traditionally national, the dishes also correspond to this style. Delicious, large and reasonably priced dishes. In such an institution it is pleasant to spend time with friends, relatives and communicate. There is no loud music and this is a big plus. The public in the institution is good and I have not observed any cases of drunken feasts. I recommend this establishment to guests from abroad.

Around the clock. They pour it. But not even half of the wines listed on the menu are available. You can eat, but you can cook better. Most of the dishes are too salty.
An odd design with childishly colored wooden boxes suspended. The chandeliers, as in all Navats, are the same.
