The most striking attraction of the capital is the Makhajirov embankment. This is a favorite place not only for citizens, but also for all tourists visiting the city. And special attention is drawn to the sculpture "Nika and the gramophone" created based on the wonderful works of Fazil Iskander. The "youngest" statue, which was unveiled on November 21, 2012. The author of this work is a very talented, young artist and sculptor Arkhip Labahua.
The idea of creating the sculpture "Nika and gramophone" appeared, one might say, from the plot of the book, because Chick was madly in love with Nika, the daughter of the great dancer of Abkhazia. She also very often wound up a gramophone and played records to which her father performed. It was in this state that the sculptor depicted her. Like the previous figures, Nika is no exception and is cast in bronze.
An incredible number of people gathered for the opening of the sculpture "Nika and gramophone". The city administration and the Union of Artists showed great support and assistance.
The sculptural composition of the heroes of Fazil Abdulovich's work, of course, testifies to the recognition of his talent and the incredible love of the people for his works, who have lived for generations. In addition, these two figures of Chick and Nicky are, as it were, the tangible embodiment of love, friendship and, of course, kindness.
The situation on the Sukhumi embankment now takes you every day into the atmosphere of a fairy tale, where two heroes met and now will always be inseparable

In general, there are many genre sculptures on the Sukhumi embankment. Nika is one of them. It was created based on the works of Fazil Iskander. The composition depicts a little girl sitting next to a gramophone without a horn.
