Pondicherry at Montmartre
...
Indian-French hotel at Montmartre. The owners or managers are most likely from the French colonies a la Pondicherry.
In general, everything is very decent. There are no write-offs. Everything is in place.
The building is old. The elevator is Soviet. The toilet is small even by Hong Kong standards. Not to mention Vietnamese or, God forbid, Thai.
Breakfast without objection. But expensive. There are several supermarkets, bakeries and just cafes nearby. Therefore, it is difficult to stay hungry.
The area is quite "Arap", but it did not present any great difficulties.
The hotel is good for walking around Paris proper, as it is located near the Gare du Nord. Which trains arrive from CDG – "Charles de Gaulle Airport". Along the Boulevard Magenta 10 minutes up the street leading down, but the latest fashion equipped with a bicycle path.
From the hotel, it is also close to the Sacred Heart in Montmartre, that is, the very same cathedral on the mountain above Paris.
It's a bit far to the Eiffel Tower, but if you have an hour, you can walk light. In addition, there will be either the Champs–Elysees or the Arc de Triomphe with Warsaw Square along the way, depending on how to go - on the bottom or on the top.
That is, a hotel that is quite convenient for independent travel.
