when you think as a child that the best car is a Mercedes, and the best city is Zurich (especially after the movie "All in 2"), it's hard to part with these illusions.. I specially took a transfer per day to get to know the city. Like most tourists, I started from the railway station and moved along the western part of the Old Town towards the lake. Everything is so well-groomed, clean and orderly and sweet! It's a material paradise, but the atmosphere is boring. It's as if the past centuries sterilized this city instead of creating a highlight besides knives-cans-cheeses-chocolate. The eastern shore of the Limmat is a more interesting part, but for some reason it also creates the feeling not of a historical city, but of a tourist attraction, where everything is served in the most spectacular way, everything is on display. Although the view from Lindenhof is very good! The city is like an ideal layout, where everything is thought out, but not everyone will want to stay here for a long time.
