The case when it is difficult to write a review. It's just humanly difficult. Who knows, he will understand. The main thing is for people to know and remember all this.

The monument to the victims of the Afghan war fully justifies its name...... Touching and heartfelt. From Ostorov, there are simply incredible views of the Trinity suburb, the old town and modern Minsk. An oasis of peace and quiet

For a number of personal reasons, I will limit myself to comprehensive information for a Reasonable Person:
"You can get to the island by a swing arch bridge.
Immediately at the entrance, visitors are greeted by a bronze icon of the Mother of God embedded in stone.
On this stone there is a text in Belarusian:
"This temple was built for the sons who died in Afghanistan...".
And then the lines - "So that there is no evil either on your own or on someone else's land ..."".

It's beautiful and peaceful. The names of the cities on the stones are very symbolic.

The Island of Courage and Sorrows (it is also called the Island of Tears) — this is a small artificial island on the Svisloch River in the center of Old Minsk, near the Trinity suburb. It is a beautiful place full of sadness and sorrow.
There is a memorial here, which was built in memory of those who died in the Afghan war in 1979-1989.

Clean, tidy, close to the center. This place is dedicated to people who unwittingly gave their lives and their health for a good cause. It's nice to take a walk along the embankment, to be silent, to watch...

Previously, all the newlyweds brought flowers to Stella on Victory Square. This is the sacred meaning of the memory of those who fell in the Great Patriotic War. And then this idea was transferred to the island of tears... We need to remember our past in order to build the future correctly.
