Definitely this place is a must see. Quite a steep descent to the bridge in the gorge, overcome by the steps of a wooden staircase. For lazy people there is an off-road taxi. At the time of its existence, the largest settlement never captured by the enemy. At one time, up to 12 thousand people lived on the territory. There were temples, schools and doctors. I recommend it and there are a lot of places for scenic photos

A must-visit. It's impressive how people lived here before the middle of the 20th century. Climbing the stairs to the observation deck is difficult, but with stops you can overcome 426 (like) steps. Beautiful views. But the road to it is country, if it is difficult to overcome after the rain.

An amazing place, fascinating nature..🥰 There is a church (active) at the bottom of the gorge with a very touching legend. We were in May, we got caught in a fog, but I think we were lucky with the weather.

Old cave settlement: hundreds of cave dwellings carved into the rocks, reminiscent of the lifestyle of the ancient inhabitants. The Church of St. Tatev was built in the 17th century and is located on the opposite side of the gorge. It is surrounded by picturesque greenery, especially in spring and summer.

A fantastic place, more than 5,000 caves of "apartments"! Picturesque cliffs, forest. For many, it is a whole test to walk over a suspension bridge over a picturesque gorge! An ancient church with cool vaults, a spring. Blackberry thickets. Informative and beautiful!

It is very interesting, various buildings sometimes amaze with their shape and ornament, there are cool places for photos, a couple of preserved houses with household items. A guide can also go with you, he tells you interesting things, but it may seem like a long time to someone.

Oh, the place is a delight! I really liked it, the entrance is free, but there are guides, of course I advise you to take them, the price tag is very affordable))) Go down with gorgeous views, and if you don't want to go up, you can use taxi services from bottom to top) We climbed by ourselves, it's not easy, but it's worth it.

The entrance to the parking lot is a primer. Be prepared for this. There are stairs leading down to the bridge, but there are places where you can rest. You can get to the top by taxi. Of course there are a lot of cave houses, but they are all about the same. The bridge is certainly gorgeous.

A beautiful place, in the middle of April everything is white from the blooming cherry plum, honey aroma, it's nice to walk, explore the surroundings. Unfortunately, almost nothing has been preserved, although this is compensated by nature. It's a little scary to walk on a suspension bridge. Minus one, this is the road, or rather its absence to the parking lot, about 3 km of complete off-road, respectively, and there are practically no tourists.

Everything seems to be fine and pleasant, but you can't approach the caves themselves. A few are open, the rest are in the undergrowth. The bridge is beautiful!

There are two ways to get there: across the bridge and go down by car to the cave city itself from the new side, but there you need a car from the Field and higher up the passability. On the side of the bridge there is a parking lot, an observation deck and many, many steps down. By the way, you can not climb back up with your legs, but go by taxi for 1000 drams. There is a museum near the bridge (a restored house in a cave), I also recommend taking a guide there for a walk around the cave city. He himself lived in this city before, he will tell you everything, show you, take pictures. It was interesting, all the additional questions were answered.

The cave city itself is magnificent, the views are gorgeous. Two disadvantages: the road section from the village has a bad primer. And a very greedy dishonest tour guide. He invited me to see the house museum for "how much you give", as a result, he tore off 3,000 drams when he gave change from a large bill. That's in five minutes of the story in the house. I do not recommend contacting, or clearly specify the price per person in advance. Such a beautiful place and such an unpleasant aftertaste.

It's an amazing place. Until the second half of the 20th century, people lived in caves here. This place should be visited. That's all. By the way, it is necessary to find a water source near the temple, from which you need to drink, holding your stone breasts with both hands

It's a great, very interesting place, but the road that leads to it is terrible. But the place itself is worth the suffering on the road.

It's a wonderful place. Only the wooden stairs need to be updated, and the railing, it's scary to go down them. Still, the flow is large, and there are also a lot of foreign tourists, it should be safe and civilized.

It's an amazing place. I recommend it to visit. Initially, as soon as we arrived, the weather turned bad and it started to rain. I thought the walk was ruined. But in the end, the cloudy weather added a special charm to this place.

There are enough caves and all kinds of canyons in Armenia, but if you have the strength to go down and climb into the gorge and walk over a swinging suspension bridge, walk along trails with contemplation of the housing of ancient settlements - you are here! Actually, it's also interesting for people aged 60+. In order not to force yourself by lifting - a taxi on the left when descending (there is a pointer) 1000 drams, and how many will get into the car?

Very beautiful. We arrived there without a tour, but there was a local guide there. He showed us how people used to live in these caves, what they used, then he led us over the bridge that they built themselves and showed us and told us who lived and where, when both children and adults gather, meet and remember how they lived. They have already restored two caves, put beds there, arranged them and invite you to spend the night there for a fee or as many as you want .We visited the old church , drank from the spring , very tasty water .He photographed us, and we got great photos.we paid him 10,000 drams (he said that it costs so much, we did not argue, but it is better to negotiate all prices in advance, this applies to all of Armenia and with everyone), he took us to the local Lada Niva taxi (2000 drams) to climb up to the parking lot where simple cars reach.

it's beautiful, I recommend a walk to the old cemetery separately-there was a temple and a school nearby-one of three in this city. the most accessible of the cave cities-and, accordingly, the most "tourist".

A unique place in Armenia, a real cave city where people lived from the 8th century to the 50s of the 20th century. We were lucky to meet a local resident who lived in such a cave for up to 14 years without water, heating and other benefits of civilization. You can get to Khndzoresk by a suspension bridge over the gorge, for those who are afraid of heights there is another attraction)) Until 2012, there was no bridge and residents crossed to the other side using ropes.

This is an incredible place! It's like a movie set. I can't even believe that people lived there some 70 years ago. I definitely recommend you to visit! But, the road is bad... You can go down to the suspension bridge either by steps, 500 pieces, or by taxi. The cost is 3000 AMD.

There are caves left of the city. The townspeople actively used the caves, but mostly they did not live in the caves themselves - earlier houses were attached to the caves, which were dismantled due to the order of the Soviet government on resettlement. Some of the buildings have been partially preserved, some are being slowly restored by descendants. There is something to see, a separate admiration is the suspension bridge.
