The temple dates back to the 10th century. Majestic, historically significant... Organ music concerts are being given here now. The silver timbre of the organ is interesting. A unique sound in these walls. It was strange for me to play jazz. But Bach, Beethoven and other classical composers warmed both ears and soul))) I understand that experiments are necessary, otherwise there will be no progress. But, in my personal opinion, classics should remain classics. Although....))))

This is rather not an excursion, but a lecture near the temple and the museum, we learned a lot about the history and culture of Abkhazia. Several frescoes have been preserved in the temple, but now there is a concert hall in this ancient building where you can listen to organ music. BUT it is very stuffy, despite the washed doors, the chairs are upholstered with some kind of warm and slightly prickly material, which causes some discomfort in the heat. But you can be patient. The main thing before the concert is to stock up on cold water and a fan, and then there will definitely be happiness!!

It was the only 100% planned place to visit in Abkhazia. All my "sound receptors"))) enjoyed listening to the program. As for me, the program was sooo classic, perhaps a little difficult to listen to. The guide said that in the future, the performance of rock and pop music will be very interesting to listen to. A place with a rich and dramatic history, it is impossible not to get involved in the emotions of the guide telling about it) I advise you to buy or book a ticket in advance at the ticket office, as it turned out, even at the end of the "season" the hall is fully boarded. It is not particularly important even where to sit, but on what))) it is much more convenient to sit on a soft seat, and not on a wooden bench))) And you can view the hall and the organ before and after the concert, then you can take a photo. The performers are on top, you need to hear it, I'm sure everyone will have their own emotions!!!

The concert of the organist Luca Gadelia was an amazing revelation of the meeting with the magnificent performance and presentation of the music of the great composers Vivaldi, Bach, Vidor and so on. The undoubted gift was a solo performance by soprano vocalist Kristina Eshba. Bravo bravissimo! The staff, as almost everywhere in Abkhazia, is somewhat dismissive of guests. The price of concerts is too high. But there is nowhere else to go in Pitsunda. It is necessary to leave the strength for the museum.
