Good location, a spectacular atmosphere inside and outside. As far as I know there are only a couple of faculties, the main part is still in Novopolotsk. They say that the palace of officers has been renovated and will also be given to the university. I am glad that they are expanding.🙂😁👹

We arrived from St. Petersburg to Polotsk on May 3, 2024 - we wanted to show the children the sights of this one of the most beautiful cities in Belarus. We also entered the territory of the Belarusian State University. At the entrance, a girl caught up with us, apparently a university employee, and said that dogs (little York was with us) were not allowed to enter. When asked if there was a forbidding inscription, the girl launched into demagoguery, proud of her eloquence, that "there is no need to write about banning entry with dogs, because students do not have dogs, but they wrote about banning smoking because students smoke." The husband took the dog out of the gate. I walked through the territory with the children, telling them that there is a very beautiful courtyard here. It turned out that the girl was following us and broke into the conversation, saying that the entrance to the courtyard was only as part of organized groups. If a person just apologized, saying that we have new rules, expressed regret, suggested how best to do it, everything would be fine. And so the behavior of this girl was very rude, not friendly and completely not hospitable. It is clear that we left after her attacks. It is a pity that such a respected institution has such employees.

There is a well-maintained territory behind the metal fence. Original monuments to the professor and the student, a historic metal staircase in the building, a hall with a talking head, a courtyard with a historic well and a mechanical clock. All this is only as part of organized groups.

It's a pretty big university for such a small town. By the way, it is possible that students in small towns need to be concentrated so that there are fewer temptations and they are not distracted from studying in the capitals.

It was nice to spend time here as a student. A good dining room, good classrooms. Only in winter it was very cold in the buildings, they were sitting in jackets. But I won't say that it was a big problem, on the contrary, you don't have to queue in the wardrobe.

A historical place. Not every city has a musical clock. It needs to be seen. At noon, the ancient anthem of the city of Polotsk begins to play, the doors open and figures of famous people of the city walk around. There is also an exhibition of paintings and an ancient well on the same site. Inside the building there is a museum of antique outfits, a talking head and much more. I strongly advise you to go on an excursion here.
