Good quality ‘traditional home food’. Nothing very exciting though, pretty standard recipes and execution. Suitable for a friendly low-key lunch or dinner, not for a fancy event.

The most delicious dolma I've ever eaten is a perfectly balanced filling, and what's very cool is that it's not dry inside. Soups are very satisfying, and therefore definitely not suitable for those who prefer dietary food, they are very fatty, and in a light frost, and even after a long walk around Baku, they just fly into you with a bang)) Tea is like tea, but it can be served with dried fruits as in many places, for this it is a minus. And of course, thanks to the location, history and good ratings with reviews, there is simply a monstrous passability here - in the evening, even on weekdays, it is simply unrealistic to come and eat, even out of season. Lunch is a little simpler, but be prepared to wait 5-10 minutes.

If you want to taste authentic Azerbaijani cuisine, and even in an atmospheric place, Qaynana is an excellent choice. We were here during the New Year holidays, but fortunately we didn't find any queues, although the place is quite popular. We started with soup with dumplings — rich, fragrant, and perfectly warming. Then they took the liver with the chicken, and this, of course, is a dish for connoisseurs — juicy, with a bright taste, moderately fatty, but absolutely melting in the mouth. But the main discovery is tandoor tortillas! They were brought hot, with a crispy crust, and paired with honey and cream, they turned into a real gastronomic delight. The service is pleasant, unobtrusive, but attentive. The portions are large, the prices are quite adequate, the atmosphere is cozy, with a national flavor. I definitely recommend it to those who want to experience traditional cuisine without compromise.

We are vacationing in Baku, we live in the Old City and, of course, we visited the restaurant at the "Mother-in-law")) The restaurant is loved by guides and tourists, so there is always a full boarding. There is a live queue, we arrived between 15-16:00 and passed immediately. However, at first the table was on the aisle, but while waiting for service, we managed to move to a more comfortable place. Design - 5 points, authentic, colorful, with cute interior details. The food score was the same 5 points, everything was delicious. The menu will definitely introduce you to Azerbaijani cuisine in a good way. But the service upset ... the usual "hello, come again, did you like everything?", well, at least a smile for free)) We never got it, but it's a pity. Everything is on stream. At first we planned to stop by for dinner, but now we don't even know. I don't want to think that the already included 10% service fee prevents the waiters from being attentive and friendly.

Very cozy, delicious, local flavor in the interior, lots of seats. Dolma is delicious and made right! Everything is great! Thanks! The best restaurant in the old town. We came on the recommendation of the guide! The restaurant is popular with locals. The perfect combination of price and quality. Fast service, attentive and responsive staff.

Our guide recommended this restaurant to us, which we didn't regret a bit. It's fast, delicious, and the prices are very pleasant. There are many traditional Azerbaijani dishes, and there are dishes of European cuisine. They serve with a smile. We took pilaf-an unusual serving and additives, very tasty. The salads are fresh, the meat is soft. We were very satisfied.

A wonderful place! Very tasty food, good service. That is why there is always a queue at this restaurant))) In the evening it was not possible to get in, because there was a queue at the entrance, we decided to go in the morning, when everyone is still resting... We came, and there are already a lot of people there 🤭 But we still managed to eat there))) I highly recommend it! Nowhere in Baku has the food been so delicious during the whole week that we stayed in this beautiful city!

There is a beautiful view from the window in the main hall, but there is a slight feeling that you are in a zoo on the other side.😅 People on the street pass by and look out the windows)) the second hall has warm lighting, but a more intimate atmosphere. The place is popular, we made it 10 minutes before the queue appeared on the street. We were on Monday at about 1 p.m. We ordered kutabs, eggplant spread, and mini-marbles. We consulted with an elderly male waiter, but in the end we chose pilaf with pomegranate puree and chicken, rather than chestnuts and lamb meat (??). We warned about a long wait (30 minutes), we waited for more than 30 minutes. A portion of pilaf for 15 manats is a lot for one, it's just right for two. And they call it a mini😃 And they brought it to us with dark meat and chestnuts. We were in a hurry, we didn't tell them what we wanted with the chicken. We ate with chestnuts. Kutab with cheese is the best here. The cheese is more curdled and there is a lot of it, it does not dry out with the dough. There is also a lot of filling in the pumpkin kutaba . The only place where they serve not only black tea, but also green and jasmine tea) they charge 1 manat for a bread cake. We also ordered a potato cradle, but we forgot about it, we didn't specify it, because we were in a hurry and they didn't write it to us in the receipt. Service fee 10%

An ideal place in the old town to enjoy traditional local cuisine. There is always a queue at the entrance, and many locals come here to eat - these are two bright indicators of an excellent restaurant. I will especially note: 1. Food - high quality products, everything is very tasty, try it. 2. The staff is efficient, courteous, very fast service. 3. Prices are lower than the city average. I recommend you to visit!

Delicious. Very much so. The portions are small, but salad or soup, shish kebab and vegetables are enough. They also bake delicious bread there and serve it still warm. For two people with drinks (without alcohol), it turned out to be about 3,000 rubles at the exchange rate. For the service, 10% is immediately included in the bill. There is a queue outside this restaurant, and the waiting time may vary.

The best restaurant in Baku! And all because of the manager-he literally makes the atmosphere of this place, every table is always served on time, Communicates with the guests, monitors the quality. If you're going for a gastronomic orgasm, come here! Lamb stew, entrecote-everything melts in your mouth, whether you're eating ice cream. As delicious as possible! I flew from Europe after 5 countries, the haute cuisine of France is in line to study at Qaynana

The case when reality exceeds all expectations! There is just an incredible atmosphere in this place - it is from this feeling that your acquaintance with the institution begins. At the entrance, you already feel that you are a welcome guest and sincere care for you! Is it delicious? Very!! Beautiful, clean and hospitable! One of the best restaurants we've visited. The price is excellent, taking into account the location. The staff is all Russian-speaking, you can ask in detail about the dishes. If fully loaded, the delivery of dishes is fast, all dishes are available without "stop lists". Even in the "off season" there are always a lot of guests here) We lived nearby and ate several times, every time we came here as a holiday) Definitely like it!)

The best restaurant in the old town. The daily queue "screams" about this. Out of 7 days in Baku, we visited this restaurant 5 times. Well, what can I say - this is the top! Everything, everything is sooooo delicious. And we tried almost all the menus in 5 days!!!! There are no complaints!!!! It 's incredibly delicious !!! We ate everything in half an hour ( and we ordered a lot , we didn 't save money , and we had to have wine ) ! I must say that we have been to Azerbaijani restaurants in Moscow more than once . Moscow is also very, very high-quality and delicious, but the "Mother-in-law" exceeded all expectations! BRAVO TO THE COOK! THANK YOU for the unforgettable taste experience!

We have been to this place several times, everything is very tasty: Lamb saj, lula Kebab, vegetable salad. Good service Initially, I wanted to give 5 stars, but today, before leaving, we wanted to drink tea, we didn't want to eat. We went to a cafe and ordered tea, but we were told that they serve tea only with the second course. And they just refused to make us tea. It's a shame that they do this to clients they've had 4 times. That's why I gave them 3 stars.

For a supertouristic place, it's unexpectedly delicious and reasonably priced. Live music in the evening. On the downside, there was a queue at the restaurant and people standing in jackets over tables with food and counting the extra beer. But they were removed from the account without any problems. Check the invoice, especially if something is not delivered.

Very tasty pilaf with lamb, chestnuts and pomegranate seeds in a crispy thin lavash. I'm not a big fan of heat-treated onions, but I ate almost all of them here, it's unclear how they cook it, but it turned out to be very unusual in taste. The restaurant is conveniently located in the old town, the staff is friendly and efficient. Very tasty tandoor bread (churek) self-made, which is prepared in an open kitchen (it is interesting to observe the cooking process).

We couldn't help but go to a well-publicized restaurant called Qaynana, which translates to Mother-in-law. Food for a solid four. The prices are pleasant. That's where all the good things end! The waiters are inattentive and completely slow. They didn't bring our order to us three times, and without even asking, they just put it on the table))) Calling the waiter is a separate quest, they don't look at the visitors at all, they just walk by on their own business))) This is despite the fact that everywhere in Azerbaijan they include 10% in the bill. In general, it's nothing special. I do not recommend it!

Menu: • Tortillas non-stop • Cheese, ala cheese • Shore - cottage cheese with salt • Puff pastry with spices • Shakshuka • Cream • Honey • Vegetables and herbs • Tea & Coffee ☕️ A new dish is a flatbread, butter, cream and honey to make sure everything sticks together))) You can't sit down at 10 a.m. anymore, a lot of locals with their families come for breakfast!

A pleasant restaurant with a large Russian menu and friendly staff. There are always a lot of people, both on weekends and on weekdays. You can only reserve a table in advance for a weekday. On other days, there is only a live queue, with a possible wait of up to 30 minutes. We had a delicious meal for two, a large saj with veal and a bottle of wine for about 3500 rubles for two. The waiters are very attentive, but they forgot to bring a birthday compliment (but it didn't spoil the impression). We have been here 2 times during our trip to Baku. We took a green omelet kyukyu-nothing special) the eggplant appetizer is delicious, the dishes seemed pretty simple to us everywhere. The local tea is an ordinary black tea, just an interesting presentation. The restaurant itself is divided into a large hall and several cozy separate rooms with a beautiful interior. It seemed to us that it was noisy in the big one, and we chose separate ones, which were quieter and more crowded. The restaurant has a high rating, the location in the old town, the cuisine is delicious, the service is good, the prices are average for Baku. I recommend you to visit.

It is better to book a table in advance (you can use Whatsapp), there is usually a full house for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We tried only local cuisine. Beyond all praise! The meat is the freshest, the dough dishes are the most delicate. There is no excess vegetable oil anywhere, nothing burns, everything melts in your mouth. I want to order each dish with an addition. The music will memorize an unobtrusive background. There is no need to go down to the basement, the huge windows overlook the street. The waiters are efficient, the administrator is intelligent, the prices are pleasant. Tips are immediately included in the bill (and this is immediately warned, unlike other places). All staff speaks Russian.

I've been here 2 times. 1. I ate pilaf once - it's very tasty and a salad of red tomatoes with pomegranate sauce - the salad will fly away. Day 2-I ate veal with onions, flatbread and the same tomato salad again. The veal is very fatty and the onion is covered in fat, it was good to have a flatbread , otherwise the pancreas would have said hello The final score is 4. Ps.
